Common Questions and Answers about Osteoarthritis treatment homeopathic

osteoarthritis

Avatar n tn However most ppl know that Glucosamine is marketed for the treatment for osteoarthritis. I know of four family members that have taken this for as long as six months, including my husband. All claimed no decrease in their painful symptoms but none noted an increase either. The medical community appears to agree that this is a safe supplement but the consensus of the effectiveness of this compound varies widely. I am sorry but I can't give you any educated suggestions.
Avatar f tn I don't know what do anymore, can anyone offer realistic help? I have already tried different herbal and homeopathic things, (yes I do believe in homeopaths, but none have been able to help me so far) and many things people have suggested. I don't want the pain to change me as a person, it can be so hard to be happy when it feels like your body is in control of your life, not you.
Avatar f tn I have both rheumatoid and osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia and have been a type one (Juvenile) diabetic for 56 years. Because withdrawal really messes up my diabetes control majorly and almost kills me, I was wondering about the rapid two hour detox. My drs. want to find out what my baseline pain level is and treat for only that. I would end up in the acute hospital if I did cold Turkey, and most hospitals don't deal with Insulin pumps, nor listen to me about it (I've been on a pump over 35years.
Avatar f tn A homeopathic Dr. Had prescribed the B6 for me to treat anxiety and migraine headaches that I was having. I was on 200 mg a day of a b6 supplement, but another 75mg of b6 was also in a multivitamin he had me on. I was on it for about 15 days when the symptoms started. I went to the neurologist who sent me for a MRI of the brain thinking it might be MS. I was so scared. I had that MRi and an MTI of the cervical spine...both came back normal. All blood work for autoimmune diseases were normal.
1840891 tn?1431551393 I've had autoimmune arthritis for decades now, but in just the last year I've also developed osteoarthritis in both thumbs. It's very painful and quite debilitating. I complained to my PCP about how I couldn't take NSAID's, and she suggested I try Voltaren gel, a topically applied NSAID. She said if used as directed only very minute amounts would be absorbed into the general circulation. I googled the drug and immediately found an alarming FDA safety report at http://www.fda.
Avatar n tn did you find out if you are pregnant? i have read that HCG is not a fertility treatment but it can facilitate pregnancy! if not did you find out what was going on?
Avatar f tn Cymbalta 3 yrs ago I went thru treatment for opiate withdrawal after many years of self prescribed pain relief. I had to wait 24hrs and then I was put on suboxone for withdrawal and drug cravings and Cymbalta for pain management and depression. (I have been on antidepressants for 30yrs.) Anyway, this combination has been a miracle for me as my pain has been completely manageable with OTC if needed, have had no urge to use, nor any depression issues.
203342 tn?1328740807 She went for the accupuncture treatments, 5 in all, and then had her blood work redone and her liver enzymes were still high but had come down alot. Out vet believes in homopathy treatment and I am glad we were open to this. We are just taking it one day at a time. I just discovered this web site and I must say that this forum is such a good and helpful idea. It lets us all know we have someone to talk to about our dog's problems and know we are not alone.
529159 tn?1224994626 Magnesium is vital for any fibro or CFS patient.
Avatar f tn In frustration I went to a homeopath who said there was a lot of inflammation in his body esp in his right leg. He put my son on homeopathic meds and did a laser light treatment twice weekly and told me it would take 2 months but I would see a difference in 1 month. I was skeptical but did not know where else to turn. At the end of 3 weeks my son was able to walk short distances without crutches. By 6 weeks he was off crutches completely.
Avatar n tn Accutane is prescribed for severe acne which has not responded to an adequate (normally 2 years) course of oral antibiotics and topical treatment. It is not intended to be given as a first line treatment, and is not indicated for acne occuring before puberty. Care must be taken when prescribing to adolescent patients who have not finished growing.

Avatar n tn I had the scope because of osteoarthritis of the knee with severe osteoarthritis of the patellofemoral joint and was hoping the surgery would buy me a few more years to work. This was a big mistake because I am in more pain now than before the surgery.
665881 tn?1248930597 Hi, There can be several reasons of your generalized body numbness or stinging feeling although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern. Most likely your symptoms could be due to peripheral neuropathy such as injury to a nerve, pressure on spinal/peripheral nerves (neuropathy),diabetic or alcoholic neuropathy, vitamin deficiency ( esp.
Avatar n tn I started at the lowest end of the spectrum, with non narcotic relievers, all sorts of therapeutic excersizes, and every possible homeopathic or alternative technique known to man, and every day there seems to be a new one coming out. Making a long story short, the only two medicines that really worked for me on any consistent level was methadone, and the Duragesic Patch, preferably Sandoz, which appeared to be a much more effective brand.
Avatar n tn Hi, I think, for me, it is where do I hurt less. I have traveled all over the world. Right now I am in St. Louis Mo. Fibro is in a mild state but a couple years ago when I moved here it was horrible and I was unable to get out of bed. Before that I was in Seattle WA. There I didn't know I had Fibro and just thought it was the flu. I could still get out everyday. I thought about trying New Mexico.
Avatar n tn but I am undergoing hospital treatment at the moment for a large cyst I had removed last year. they had to cut through the vaginal opening to get to it as it was on my urethral tube (ureathel divaticulum) so may be its all started to settle back know .I don't know. but after reading all your posts iv called my doc to ask her.
Avatar n tn It started in my left sholderblade then went to the neck, and then the left arm.The pain would shoot down my left arm.I tried severale Docters and i think every form of treatment possible.Therapy, shots in the spine you name it.I would tell you Go to a great nerosurgon and ask for a MRI.This will show pinched nerves.Just like what you more than likely have. This is why when you breath it hurts.I let myself go to long and my nearve in my left arm was cut almost into.
Avatar n tn You will have to clean the bedding , underwear and so forth with this treatment and again with the second treatment. I believe you do have pinworm. It is not only a 3rd world disease. I have seen many cases when I worked at the county hospital. It gets around quite a bit. Garlic is great for your immune system. If it is helping great. I think this doctor is helping so I agree with her except that pinworm usually is a 3rd world disease but not always.

211940 tn?1267884866 once a week to physical therapy, twice a week to acupuncture, 600mg Advil 3-times a day and ice as often as I can remember. The physical therapy is minimal stretching. It is the most frustrating thing but it does seem to be getting better - I've been suffering for appx 4 months, I still have pain at night, but it's getting a little better.
Avatar f tn It doesn't look like there are any cures for it and no treatment that really works! I'm so tired of not sleeping at night and sometimes the extreme itching & tingling burning sensations make me cry! Nothing seems to work. My dermatologist gave me a steroid cream to use and Hydroxyzine pills to help me sleep. They worked the first night, but for some reason since then have not worked at all. I'm exhausted and frustrated with this horrible ailment!
Avatar n tn For the past several years I've had long periods (upwards of 6 months at a time) of excruciating burning/tearing pain in various tendons or ligaments when stretched. The first occurrence was in my right knee. If I bent my knee near its maximum extent (such as when kneeling, crouching or climbing into bed), I experienced an incredibly painful tearing/burning sensation in the area of my patellar tendon.
Avatar m tn i think i might add that too, I also have 4 different types of anti-histamines from when i had itching on treatment (which also treat allergies) im wondering if its worth trying one of those... i think one step at a time... i will give a week to 10 days without supplements/herbal tea's and see if it stops or gets better... if not I may add decongestant like you say cos i can hear my breathing in ears when breathing through nose...
975514 tn?1325001538 I was 17 when I first was diagnosed with sciatica and it wasn't until I was 31 when my foot was completely numb that I was able to convince a doctor to take an X-Ray of my lower back, which started a domino effect of MRIs and testing. I learned that I have degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis in my spine, minor scoliosis and nerve damage- I even had a shoulder surgery on a bone spur because I kept getting tendinitis and the doctors couldn't cure my arm pain.
Avatar n tn Please note that I have not tried this yet however it is herbal homeopathic remedy that covers what a lot of you are talking about in these posts, it is called Ammonium Muriaticum - do a Google search on this and take a look for yourself. I went down to my local health and wellness store and they had to special order it but it was only 7 dollars. I haven't got mine yet, but please read on this as I have and if any of you try it post up here if it helped. I will do the same.....
