Avatar f tn I have been having a lot of issues with my neck and back. My symptoms started when I was 22, 7 years ago. I had this constant feeling of needing to stretch or crack my neck all day. Well this feeling never went away. Eventually I got the pressure on the other side of my neck as well.

Recently, I went to a sports medicine hand doctor and he had said I have osteoarthritis.
5536514 tn?1373500002 I have several books about helping with back ache and they all advocate doing gentle exercises. Physiotherapist at hospital told me to take glucosamine and showed me some exercises. Also yesterday the osteopath told me best exercise is to lie on back and draw both knees to chest and just gently rock. This opens up the spaces between facets in spine and eases them. I am still a bit sore from the manipulation yesterday, but pain has eased. I will see osteopath twice more.

Back pain makes you unconsciously alter the way you walk, stand, sit, even lie down. Back pain can cause your hip to hurt, which in turn causes knee stress, and on down the line until you seem to hurt clear down to your toes.
