History of migraines(pain), scoliosis, osteoarthritis in cervical spine, and epilepsy. Episode Symptoms: Fast onset, lasting time 40s-2min. Sense of time is altered, hard to concentrate or focus/answer simple questions.
Avatar n tn How do I get rid of the chronic stiffness in my foot(right; & hand) ? Doc surmises(diagnosis) inflammed tendons( I ran for <20 years, now ceased). What's the cure for osteoarthritic inflammation, or does everyone cop out with, "there's no cure" & go enjoy life(while others suffer) ?
Avatar n tn Xrays of my hands showed very minor changes, and the lumbar spine showed degenerative changes but apparently not indicative of psoriatic arthritis. I am having serious symptoms, upper back pain, bilateral hand pain that progresses to numbness, overwhelming fatigue, occasional blurred vision, muscle spasms. I have even checked my blood glucose levels (my husband has a meter) just to be sure that I am not diabetic, but these levels are always normal. I am 48, and feel 100.
Avatar n tn http://www.medhelp.org/posts/show/648144 --- response to neverwin) I agree with Professor Nicolson. I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and I know that I share almost all of the symptoms that MS patients do. And research is now backing this up.... we both have abnormal proteins found in our cerebrospinal fluid. We often have low uric acid levels and abnormal MRI's. I know that there is a research test (spinal fluid)... that apparently can diagnose CFS or fibromyalgia.
469901 tn?1276567223 o) I'm also in the limboland that Ada mentioned, having no firm diagnosis for neurological symptoms that also irritate me. I have found great support on these forums, that has really helped me get through some rough spots. I love reaching out a hand to someone that needs a lift; lifts me up, too. I care about people all over the country; the world now!
311693 tn?1218136275 Yes, to the increased pain with the weather. Rain and cold weather are bound to make your pain worse. We usually have osteoarthritis coupled with fms. according to the arthritis foundation. and I do have it. I feel that we need more research on fms because it affects so many people and it increases every year. My daughter is always saying other people don't have it as bad as you. Then i read an article saying there are different levels of fms.
428506 tn?1296560999 First there were headaches, joint pains, and an inexplicable weariness. With time, the symptoms intensified and multiplied: My knees became so painful that I had to sit down to descend the stairs in my house on my bottom, one step at a time. I developed dysphagia: I had so much trouble swallowing that I literally choked on my food.
Avatar n tn He was finally diagnosed in the early '90s. He never really had any symptoms of joint pain until after taking the interferon/ribavirin combo 5 or so years ago. His hepatitis did not respond to the treatment and his doctor wants him to try the Pegasys or PegIntron treatment. His main complaint now is joint pain. His doctor suggested Tylenol for the pain and he will take it at times but is afraid of the side effects of that.

590279 tn?1286339622 Please do not skip since a long post, as I feel it may be necessary to give all the details and not have people suggest things that are ruled out. The main symptoms of my problem are a combination of facial pain in my cheeks, dizziness or feeling ‘off’, vision difficulties, and a rapid heart beat. I have read some posts online of similar problems, but all seem to revolve around sinus infections which apparently isn’t a problem for me.
Avatar f tn Hello, My 17 year old daughter is suffering with very similar symptoms as some of you. The Dr's do not know what she is sick with but she is severely suffering. Can anyone help? It started off with her having an overactive thyroid and now the levels are lowish but in normal range. She has severe headaches and body aches, her face becomes red and very, very hot yet no measurable temperature.
Avatar m tn OK, before I get FLAMED for this, I will state that I, like so many sufferers here have/had hall the symptoms of MS, Lupus, CFS, etc. I was "pidgeonholed" and told that I had MS and my dr wanted me to start on MS medications that were only symptom relievers. As I researched more and more, I discovered that there has been a EXPONENTIAL EXPLOSION of autoimmune diseases that really took off after the early 90's. Doctors have no explanation for it. Why? I asked.
Avatar n tn However, I'd like to hear comments from anyone posting on this site about not only Synvisc treatments but other treatments available for treatment of osteoarthritis in the knee joints. My symptoms are more achiness, stiffness, and limited range of motion instead of pain. Thanks.
Avatar n tn It is almost impossible to get up if I sit on the floor. Also, a friend of mine just got test results back. She had similar symptoms, but she also had dizziness and was falling. Turns out she has multiple sclerosis.
Avatar n tn I seriously can't remember if the cold made my symptoms worse or not, I spent most of the last winter in the hospital. Summer is pretty nice but when it gets really warm I usually feel really dehydrated most of the time and cause of my meds I have to watch my sun exposure. Other than that I don't pay for my doctors or anything so I say anywhere in Canada all the way!
Avatar n tn Well, Sjogren's is believed to have a genetic component, and believe me, my whole family has got the symptoms and are now being tested. There's nothing to be done yet about genetics! The second component is supposedly a viral infection, and I agree with that too. Mine started a couple months after I got Mono. I like the idea that something could get my immune system to calm down, but looking at my family, I don't think it's likely.
Avatar n tn If anyone has any suggestions as to what is causing this, or anyone out there with the same symptoms, please comment i would greatly greatly appreciate it and thank you for taking the time to read this
Avatar n tn He checked my B12 level and it is very low so I have been reading up on that. One of the symptoms of a B 12 deficiency is a burning sensation due to nerve damage. If the deficiency goes for a long time, the damage is irreversible. I started B 12 shots last week and am praying this is the cure I am looking for. I truly hope this info will help all of you also.
Avatar f tn Osteoarthritis, Ligament damage, Meniscus damage or Patello-femoral disorder. You have mentioned that you have pain on kneeling down that is in extreme flexion. This suggests that it might be due to either meniscus injury or due Patello-femoral disorder. The location of pain says that it might be due to meniscus problem. When did your pain begin, what were you doing at the time, and what were the initial symptoms? Do you experience any grinding, locking, catching, or giving way of the knee?
544292 tn?1268886268 Severity of withdrawal can be estimated by considering that each 100 mg tramadol oral (hx daily use) will be roughly equivalent of 10 mg morphine (IV daily use) in severity of withdrawal symptoms. Differences are that standard opiate withdrawal seems to cause more physical illness (vomitting, diarhea, bone pain etc.) Tramadol withdrawall seems to cause significantly more anxiety and emotional distress.
Avatar n tn i have been getting all the symptoms that you have. i was actually admitted to hospital for a week due to me not eating and feeling sick all the time. they found nothing through bloods, CT and ultra sounds. they called me a 'mystery girl'. I am better now, but still feel sick after eating and always seem to have gas... is this a intolerance thing?
Avatar f tn Do you take any medications shirl000? I have Behcet's and take quite a few meds. I have had the internal shakes on and off for years, sometimes daily for a month at a time. I also get visible shake but only slight and only once where other people could see it going on. I don't know if my shakes are due to meds or just part of the disease. So many effects of the disease and so little knowledge about it.
Avatar n tn I have no sore throat or hoarseness or any other throat/esophagus symptoms. I do have very occasional heartburn that responds easily to Zantac. Thank you very much.
363682 tn?1299492962 Are there any other associated symptoms with your headaches like blurring of vision, seeing bright waves or lines? Any associated weakness or numbness that comes with the headaches? Any underlying systemic disease like hypertension and diabetes? Do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn First several weeks flu like symptoms. Body aches, low grade fever usually 24 hrs after injection. Several weeks after that fevers came and went - no particular day or time. Body aches continued. There were a few times I thought my back was breaking in half. I attributed that to a back injury when I was a teenager. I seemed like every weak spot in my body was magnified by the treatment drugs. 6-8 wks into treatment platelets, wbc, rbc all went south. I felt very tired and weak.
Avatar f tn Rather than dealing with symptoms we look for the cause of the problems! I have been having all the symptoms you guys refer to since as far back as I can remember (I'm 54). I am teaching my students of my theory of the super importance of the Vagus Nerve. I am currently conducting research into this and how energy medicine can help. I'm astounded with what I see and how it all seems to relate back to the Vagus Nerve and more. Keep you posted.
Avatar n tn Many people have candida and do not even realize it ...the symptoms are many and often people don't show symptoms that others do. Even if you do not practice the candida diet, cut back sugars and take a probiotic. Good luck everyone.
Avatar n tn I had the scope because of osteoarthritis of the knee with severe osteoarthritis of the patellofemoral joint and was hoping the surgery would buy me a few more years to work. This was a big mistake because I am in more pain now than before the surgery.
408795 tn?1324939275 Symptoms aren't a good measuring stick to go on as you can have NO symptoms and still have progressed liver damage. Where symptoms come into play, to me, is when you're starting to get other illnesses that are potentially from you carrying this nasty HCV virus in your blood long enough for it to start doing damage to other systems and creating other health issues. One of the reasons I chose to treat now is that I'm 47 and I ain't getting any younger..
