Avatar m tn I am now taking Norco 4 times a day, Zoloft 100mg 2 x a day, Requip for RLS, and my legs are still almost worthless at this point. I also have osteoarthritis in every joint, and that just adds to the misery. Right now I'm at a stand still. I told my Rheumy that I would take no more "let's see if this works" medication. I'm done with that.
Avatar n tn Dear Pdf I can't believe what I am reading. It is like a mirror image of what I am experiencing. My story I was slam dunked off a horse into a side hill very hard about 12 years ago. But, on going in to doc 2 days later...we lived out of town and didn't want to call for an ambulance. I had huge internal bleeding, apparently I was fortunate that that did not kill me. I was xrayed and no broken bones and everything in right place. I have had pain exactly as you describe.
3242225 tn?1348340121 Based on what I have read here on the forum, in some cases the symptoms begin to subside as treatment progresses and in some cases the person ultimately discovers that HCV turned out not to be related to their condition after all. The PDF in Dawn's post lists several conditions which in some way have been linked to Hepatitis C (or those who have it). I encourage you to read it. As it happens, Degenerative Disk Disease is not mentioned on this particular document.
223126 tn?1189759422 My husband wants me to reqest a refferal to a cardiac specialist and I am inclined to agree at this point. A bit more background on me, I have also been diagnosed with osteoarthritis, sjogrens, mixed collegen vascular disease (one dr. said there might be a connection between the heart issues and the mcvd) and fibromyalgia... the only medications I take are plaquenil (200mg bid) and cymbalta (60mg qd).

Avatar n tn I do have significant degenerative changes, so I suppose the lab could reflect osteoarthritis, although how that accounts for my hands, I don't know. I am not having color changes with my hands, and I don't think Scleroderma quite fits my picture. I have considered Sjogren's. And I wonder if MS needs to be ruled out, but I am not sure how the ANA fits into that. Anyway, I will try Justanswer.com. Thanks for the information.
2064920 tn?1331194105 7 years and still kicking but this still wears me out when I have flare ups. I also have alot of osteoarthritis througout my body.I also have these little lump like noduels in several places on my stomach, chest and arms, tho I can roll or more them easily and they don't hurt. I believe they are either fat nods or colesterol nods but again I am not a dr. I have been down the rd thinking I haals and still wonder if it's ms tho i really don't stumble or drop things.

Avatar m tn http://www.webmd.com/osteoarthritis/news/20080708/fda-warning-cipro-may-rupture-tendons Since it is not known what the mechanism for the side effect is, then it's quite possible that muscle pain is also a side effect. But it is known that magnesium might be involved (Cipro binds to Mg) so taking Mg as a supplement might help (but too much is strongly laxative). (Mg Oxide is fairly useless.) Offhand, I'd say that being on an antibiotic for a full month is a long exposure.

All the best for you and all other heppis around :-) Have a nice weekend and don't forget there is more to do at a weekend than thinking about a virus.
Avatar n tn was looking for on Antibiotics.Org under the PDF for side-effects. Please review pages 19-22 and see if you can relate! Especially if you have taken antibiotics at all in the last year. I took antibiotics, and 9 months later realized I was having symptoms from the drugs I had taken!! Feel free to ask me questions... Take care!

The patients were randomized to receive PEG-IFN alfa-2a plus ribavirin for either 16 or 24 weeks. “This study was large enough to allow us to compare responses in genotype 2 and genotype 3,” commented Dr. Di Bisceglie.
Avatar f tn I am waiting to have my own thyroidectomy in a couple of weeks, and I have a positive attitude about it. I have had 7 surgeries for osteoarthritis in the last few years, and I remember reading the horror stories about joint implants that didn't go well. I'm doing great with 2 knees and 1 shoulder implant! So I'll do well with thyroid removal, too!

Avatar n tn In that case, it's your decision and that's what you choose to do. Personally I wouldn't be txing if I didn't have osteoarthritis and acid reflux in the mix. Also, I'm a recovering addict and I had a serious incident happen to me while overtaxing my liver that quite frankly scared me into txing, after mulling it over for a number of years. The last thing about me is I'm 55 in Nov.
