there's a reasonable chance you have developed arthritis ok....but of course you should confirm with docs. As for meds....the doc may prescribe any number of anti-inflammatories...trial and error for what suits you best really. If you get pain in the area when working it...I suppose the only answer is your body is telling you to give it a rest. If heat relieves the pain then go for it. If the joints are inflamed regularly...well then get anti-inflammatories from doc.

A clinical examination is very essential for correct diagnosis and treatment of your symptoms. The common causes of your symptoms could possibly be ganglion cysts, rheumatoid arthritis, tendinitis, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis and gout. In rheumatoid arthritis there is morning stiffness, joint pains and nodules under the skin. Ganglion cysts arise from the capsule of a joint or the sheath of a tendon.
The goal of a wrist fusion is to get the radius in the forearm, the carpal bones of the wrist, and the metacarpals of the hand to fuse into one long bone. The ulna of the forearm is not included in the fusion. The joints between the ulna and the radius are what allows you to turn the palm of your hand up and down. By not fusing the ulna, you should still be able to rotate your hand. However, you will not be able to bend your wrist after the operation.
Since the thumb twitches uncontrollably, symptoms could be due to carpal tunnel syndrome. In this the median nerve is compressed at the wrist in a place called the carpel tunnel. Symptoms begin with numbness and tingling of the first three or two fingers from the thumb side (twitch is also possible). Nerve conduction studies are quite diagnostic. Treatment is usually by splints and steroid injections. Surgery may be required in some cases.

Its kind of seaware problem i am not feeling pain but when i bend down move my wrist or what angle try to make all of my body joints produce a crackling kind of sound which is so loud make me feel ambaries or people sitting aside looks at me. Its specially from wrist, knee and ankle joints.
Dont know why but may be i thinking that its because of my masturbation sometimes i do is there any method or medicine that ends this crackling sound please help me in this case.
My mother has recently experience these symptoms: shoulder, wrist, hip, knee pain. Plus, in the mornings sometimes she can't make a fist, and experiences "buzzing" in her joints throughout the day. Especially her hands. She also experiences a great deal of back pain and she bruises easily. She has been tested for parvo, limes disease, arthritis and lupis. no luck yet. she also can be quite thirsty throughout the day.... any idea?! she has been given naproxen as a pain killer.
However, I was on mobic for my wrist and that did not help at all so I had to get a cortisone shot in my wrist. It seemed to help, but the pain is already back and stronger than ever.Now I have a cold, wet feeling in my thumb. I have osteoarthritis in my wrists and finger, worse in my right hand . I have had cortisone shots which does not help , this was caused from a injury at work . I also have signs of carpel tunnel , this has been going on for over 2 yrs.
That is too young for osteoarthritis. Do you have any other symptoms beside joint pain? Maybe fatigue, dizziness, blurred vision, anything.

In 2006 my right knee started hurting. I finally went to see an Orthopedic doctor. After an x-ray and feeling the top of my knee he said "You have Osteoarthritis in your knee. It is definately not RA." Well just a couple of months ago my other knee started with the same problems. Just pain mostly.
Hi there! If this is related to osteoarthritis of the fingers, you need to avoid tight gripping. For writing, wrap your pen with foam for an easier grip. For drinking, use a mug and wrap your hand around it for a larger, more stable grip. Cups with dainty handles are difficult to hold. Choose kitchen utensils with large and soft handles as these are easier to grip. These are just some examples on how to prevent tight gripping to prevent worsening of the condition.

i was also wondering about the osteoarthritis as my dr told me that i have severe degenerative osteoarthritis of the lower spine (I forgot the numbers), hips, left shoulder and both feet. I had major surgery last summer and mesh was used to attach part of my bowel to my spine. My dr figures that this may have jump-started the arthritis issues. Currently i have probs walking, bending and overall it hurts to be on my feet for more than 20 mins at a time.
Thus, identification of the abductor pollicis longus trigger point should be considered in pain of the radial aspect of the wrist and thumb, especially when no other neurologic abnormalities or inflammatory conditions are present."
The above conclusion was found following a "test" to determine referred pain patterns of the Abductor Pollicis Brevis area.
I have been dealing with muscles aching terrible in my sides of neck and down to my elbow have hard to lift my arms without pain in upper arms what could it be and my fingers and wrist as well as i do have osteoarthritis and uveitis. They questioning scoliosis cause my sine is curving, i cant sleep at night cause it hurts my upper arms to lay on so i have to lay on my back and i cant sleep on my back. any suggestios
