My husband keeps getting recurrent pain in his neck. He has had to go to the ER a few times and x-rays were normal. He went to the dr. yesterday and she gave him Flexeril and Ultram but they don't seem to help the pain. Tonight I put hot, wet washrags (making them hotter slowly) and after waiting about 15 minutes, rubbed ben-gay on his neck and shoulder muscles. He says 'if I could just crack my neck, I think it would feel allot better'.
I have osteoarthritis in my neck moderate and mild in lower back. Can and adjusment help? will they even do an adjustment me? i seem to be losing sensativity in my legs but dont know if iy du to oa in back nad neck.any help would be great. thank you.
Let me start by saying I am in pain everyday from head to toe, I am 64 & otherwise in good health. I am currently being treated by a Rheumatologist for cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc disease, osteoarthritis of ankle & foot and Achilles tendonitis. and am not getting much relief. What concerns me the pain which occurs at the base of my head, if I turn my head while lying down, I can hear crackle from that area & pain follows.
Back in July 2013, I developed pain in both thumbs while playing my banjo. I had recently started new playing techniques on the banjo with both hands. I am 48 years old. I've been to a hand therapist and she believe it is some type of repetitive stress injury and since then I've only play a little and have used splints and exercises etc. I feel things have been getting better but slowly. Recently, I went to a sports medicine hand doctor and he had said I have osteoarthritis.
I have severe pain in the middle of my spine,xrays showed lots of arthritis,also in shoulders neck and knees.a simple task like pushing a broom is crippling.any idea what type of arthritis?

It could be osteoarthritis or carpel tunnel syndrome. See your Dr to find out for sure.

In the end I at last by pure chance found a neurosurgeon that took me seriously and treated me as a real person.
Well, I would see if you are reacting to the naloxone or the buprenorphine, maybe the dye. If for pain management, I would try Subutex, then. generic Subutex... pure mu receptor agonists narcotics simply are not the answer for pain management in people < 60 yrs of age or 70, simply due to the phenomenon of tolerance. Subutex and Suboxone are far behind in FDA approval for moderate pain....plus.
I constantly have pain throuhout my entire body,including my eyes! I've gone to many doctors and am just not getting answers. I sometimes think it's MS. I've been told though that it's Fibromyalgia and I've been diagnosed in the past as having TMJ and Osteoarthritis. I have severe neck musle pain periodily, not always but it happens. My legs are sore to touch, as well as other muscles in my body.
The pain of occipital neuralgia begins in the neck and spreads upwards to scalp, forehead, and behind the eyes. I do not think its osteoarthritis or anything similar. I am not in pain, I am uncomfortable because I feel the constant need to move, stretch, and crack my neck and back. I also feel it in my arm and hand when my back is acting up. I think it has something to do with my nerves, I just don't know what...
You do not say exactly where in the arm the pain is and if you had a fall or any type of knock. Pain in the arm can sometimes radiate from the shoulder and neck area of the spine and can also be caused by swollen or torn tendons, bone problems like osteoarthritis, muscle problems and overuse of the arm if you do any type of repetitive work.

hi im 19 and just found out i have arthritis in my jaw i an chew steak it cracks when i chew everything even bread sometimes it locks up then cracks out and it really hurts the other night i woke up with back pains and my wrists were sore and stiff and same with my knees, my ankles are always sore and my neck thy get worse in colder months , is it possible that i have arthritis in all my joints i did gymnastics as a kids and been riding horses all my life .
A less technical name for this condition is osteoarthritis of the neck, or degenerative disk disease of the neck.. The most common symptom is stiff neck which is most often one of the very first signs. Neck stiffness tends to grow progressively worse over time. Along with pain, cervical spondylosis can be accompanied by parathesias and muscle weakness in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands, and a syndrome called “numb, clumsy hands”. Dizziness may occur on neck movement .
