Common Questions and Answers about Osteoarthritis hip wikipedia

1415174 tn?1453246703 My MRI and bone scan were normal, Xray of hip mild osteoarthritis. I have pain in one spot in my left upper buttock but it hurts. But the physiatrist said she had no clue what my back pain diagnosis is. She did do a reflex test on my feet and knees. On my ankles there were two bounces or ticks instead of one and she thought this may be abnormal. I read that it can be normal and that it is abnormal if you have more than 2 or unstopable bounces.
Avatar f tn I recently had a bout of sacroillitis (it was awful) and have occasional hip and near tailbone pain. I have osteoarthritis and dgenerative disc disease with some lordosis of the cervical spine as well. My grandmother also had my exact symptoms at the same time of life as I do. Lupus, inflammatory arthritis, bouts of sacroilllitis, TIA's, extensive nerve problems, bells palsy, burning mouth syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia, lordosis (hers was severe) and she had ankylosing spondylitis.
Avatar f tn After my Tx began, around the 14th week, I think, my hip joint seemed to be popped out, and was very painful. The next day, it was my right knee joint hurting, particularly behind the kneee, and to s less painful degree, my left knee, in the back. I didn't know if it was also due to the Procrit shots, which I started at 9 weeks, or the Interferon, 1,200 mg dosage of Riba, or the 12 Victrelis pills I was taking..
1122824 tn?1274110614 Hi Lisa...since ur hip joint feels like it is popping out of joint that is most likely a EDS issue....and it can make the sounds u mentioned....and it can be quite painful...I know as I also have it and am in a flare right now. Have they ruled out Lupus for u?....I would ask ur Dr to look into that as well...I am always borderline for it...and my pain always make the Drs think that is my issue. The r rheumatoid Drs that can dx and treat EDS...but many times u must also see a geneticist.
Avatar f tn It depends on why you are taking the medication to. I have degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, spondylolisthesis, scoliosis, hip bersitis, and shoulder instability. I have been on the medication for 2 years. The last dr kept upping my dose. I was on 30mg of vicodine before they switched me to morphine 60mg twice a day on top of oxycodone pure 10mg 4 times a day. Upping the dose is HORRIBLE! I became so addicted to the morphine and told the dr, for this reason I wanted to get off it.
Avatar n tn My worry is that if I were running for some reason, or just walking at a fast pace -- normal for me -- the weakness in the groin area would cause me to fall suddenly, possibly injuring my hip. I haven't seen any docs about this because it would probably entail endless, very expensive tests, with a possible "no diagnosis" or "ambiguous, multi-opinioned diagnosis." Anyone out there with a clue ... especially about the feeling of extreme weakness when it happens?
Avatar n tn I hobble and my leg muscles are noticibly smaller, to the point friends and family mention it. MRIs of spine, hip and knee show nothing, and steroid epidurals gave minimal relief. I've posted a question to the doctor in hopes he will guide me on how best to "bother" my local doctors in digging deeper for a diagnosis and CURE. If I ever get answers, I'll be sure to let y'all know. In the meantime, keep looking because if we have the same thing, it will only get worse.
Avatar n tn I unenthusiastically carried on nevertheless, and was drawn to the Wikipedia link for their definition of RSI, of which I had avoided all this time. Little did I know that this would be the turning point of my ordeal. Just as I finished reading the 'ever-so familiar' Wikipedia definition, I was drawn to an external link at the foot of the page (no longer there) called 'Rachel RSI' .My girlfriend is called Rachel which is what drew me to it.

Avatar n tn prescribed them for my osteoarthritis in my knee's, and Wow! It sure took the pain way! However, had I known the addictive nature and how hard it is to come off these, I would have never started taking them. During those 7 months there were times when I'd have to wait a day to pick up a new prescription and there go a day without them. Those were rough days.. I'd have zero energy, could barely make it to the kitchen from the livingroom and got the restless legs at night.
Avatar n tn Im been testet and teastet by the doctors, but im perfectly healthy if you can put it that way. A few years ago i was in an accedent where i destroied my hip. It was very very stressful as i lost my job and all. 3month ago i broke up with my boyfriend and he moved out. Bla bla bla, but all this coust stress and hormon differences. The docters say i suffer from servere stress and they say it normal that your hair fall out 2-3 month after the "thing" that coust the stress.
Avatar n tn I had my right hip replaced with titanium about 4 years ago, but I don't think the surgery or any other medications I took through the surgery and recovery have anything to do with my tongue at this late stage. I've continued the same medication (Indomethicin) for at least 6 years now, so I don't think that's the cause either. I drink a lot of coffee and tea, and I was thinking that might be the cause; however, I've always drank a lot of coffee, so it doesn't seem plausible to me.
