645390 tn?1338558977 He thinks I might have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and I need a blood test. WHAT? Seriously?? (This was one of the diseases my mom had). I looked quickly on WebMD, know I shouldn't, but there is was in black and white. Me and my symptoms. It said RA affects the fingers, toes and Cervical Spine. (I had cervical spine surgery Jan 08 for 2 herniated discs. Surgeon said it was due to I had a congenitally small spine and arthritis).
182884 tn?1259316506 One of the other problems I have is that because I am vegetarian, I seem to be having a harder time and I dont know if there is a connection or not between my diet and my lack of success at cholesteral lowering or if it is just a general problem that we thyroid patients have.? I have so many questons and am so glad that I have found this forum as well. It seems that there are SO MANY CONNECTIONS BETWEEN DIFFERENT DISEASES OR CONDITIONS SINCE BECOMMING HYPOTHYROID!!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn But by the time I get home from work my tongue is almost completely orange again. I've also had a sore throat since I noticed it. My diet has not changed nor has any medication that I take. Not sure if I need to go to the doctor or a dentist.
Avatar n tn I am so relieved I found this. WebMD had no information on this. I was playing on the Wii yesterday and out of no where I felt my finger tingle like it was swelling a few minutes later it was turning blue. I have been freaking out since then looking all over the internet. I thought I was havng a reaction to some new medicine I am taking but I went to their site and it is not listed as a side effect or reason to call Dr. Then my husband said maybe I popped a blood vessel.
Avatar f tn I have had osteoarthritis in by back for years, and my gut feelingis that this related. But it's just a guess. I can totally sympathize with everyone else who's had these symptoms! It's very unnerving.
Avatar n tn I've gained significant weight while on these drugs (despite an intense exercise program and careful diet). My nutritionist and MD told me that the drugs likely altered my metabolism, but no one can tell me how long it will take to correct that. Most frustrating, I've noticed that since I stopped taking both, my weight gain has accelerated. Any ideas as to how long I need to endure this or ideas for correcting my metabolism? Thanks.
Avatar n tn i try to take 1/2 of each with 1/2 of a caffiene pill if i can---seems to make the meds work better. i am also dealing with osteoarthritis. i'm wondering where someone read that this is supposed to go away---everything i read is very discouraging---sounds like they really don't know how to treat it and that a remission is pretty unlikely and that we should be glad for the times when it seems better, and that they usually don't last for long.
Avatar n tn 3 years ago I lost a dramatic amount of weight, 75-80 lbs in 7 mths on the Atkins Diet. With that diet not focusing much on fat, we had thought that I destroyed my gall bladder in turn. Plumenting from being over 185 lbs to around 110 was a big thing and though I was happy to shed the pounds, I don't know what this has cost me in the long run. Since this problem began again a few months ago, I have lost a few more lbs because it is hard for me to eat at times as I get that pain very bad.
Avatar f tn In the back of my mind, I wonder if my neck pain was due to the degenerated discs/osteoarthritis or is it because of the torn cuff. I have to put the surgery on hold for cufff until I heal from the fusion. I am so tired of being in pain and I am having alot of trouble trying to cut back on the pain meds because the lower dosage doesn't help. Also I am wearing the bone growth stim. and was told I have to wear it for 6 months. I hate that thing, it hurts the back of my neck tremendously.
211940 tn?1267884866 Cannot figure out what I was doing to get the sleep level up, but certainly wish I could....maybe diet, stress level or ??????. Certainly know one thing: less sleep = more pain.
Avatar n tn This same thing just started today, with me. I looked it up on WebMD (but could only check "numbness or tingling") and it listed something called "Cauda Equina Syndrome," which is something potentially serious related to the spinal cord. Although that kinda makes sense since I'm also having super low back pain (and have been since my car accident in July), I feel a little relieved knowing I'm not alone, now.
Avatar f tn Research shows that while we indeed get a steady stream of mercury from our amalgams, we get even more in our diet and just from the environment in general. What's more, people who once had amalgams, but have since had them removed (without using a biological dentist), can be almost positive that they have high levels of mercury toxicity.
Avatar n tn I also take Colace daily and stay on a high fiber diet and drink a LOT of water. I hope this helps a little - I didn't realize so many others are suffering from similar issues. Best of luck to all of you.
