Avatar f tn I recently was hospitalised with hemiplegic migraine and osteoarthritis in my spine. I had 4 lumbar punctures which made me almost paralysed but I had no headaches, only leg pains. Everything serious has been ruled out but no one at my local hospital would treat me and I was shunted around the hospital until I lost my temper and said I was leaving with force if need be !
1459410 tn?1285698605 Im in PT to help as well but if anyone would like to share a short summary of their story from pre-diag symptoms through successful treatment, I would really like to see how the different docs have handled your speciific case. The most effective thing Ive done on my own was recently bought an herbal cream that has capsicum in it whihc has done more than any of the other pharma routes. Its still kinda unbearable but Ive at least noticed it being somewhat alleviated.
3060903 tn?1398568723 Make dietary changes Following an anti-inflammatory diet can help prevent flares and improve RA symptoms when they do occur. People wishing to follow this diet should avoid processed foods, refined sugars, and artificial ingredients, and eat a Mediterranean diet that is rich in whole foods.
Avatar f tn i've had ideopathic gastroparesis for a year now and have been unable to find any help on what i should or should not eat to prevent or minimize symptoms. one suggestion was a low-fiber diet but the dietician i was referred to was completely unable to tell me exactly what that was. another suggestion was o soft diet. does that mean just eat anything and grind it up like babyfood or is it foods that become soft or are soft naturally such as jello & ice cream?

Avatar n tn Is one of the symptoms of an anxiety disorder a nervous chest? I constantly get butterflies in my stomach and chest, I have had heart tests and everything is fine. I am on Paxil 20 mg that cleared up the insomnia, crying spells, trouble swallowing na d dizziness (for the most part). It is my busy season at work and I am getting the chest nervousness and discomfort as well as neck aches. Is this common with anxiety? Even though I am on 20 mg Paxil? Thanks.
1619005 tn?1298868460 Each person who has it is different, and it may take some time to find the right treatment plan to help manage the symptoms. Many patients find that altering their diet helps; again, what foods you eliminate or add that help your symptoms will take some experimentation. Exercise balanced with adequate rest is also helpful. In other words, you'll need to find out what your personal "wall" is and learn not to push beyond it. But I'm jumping ahead here - you don't have a diagnosis yet.
Avatar f tn I have had symptoms that have been increasing over the years. I am now 54 years old and have tried to stay in shape and stay active and have kept my weight down most of my life (has gone up 10 lbs in the last year). I have an elevated ANA-IFA Titer that is 1.16 homogeonous, ELISA normal, normal SED rate, normal thyroid levels, CRP has been elevated in the past but not with my last labs.
Avatar m tn initially the symptoms came, stayed for a month or two then went away, except for some lingering fatigue, but since august 2012 they have been chronic. I suffer from constant dizziness (feeling drunk, being on a boat feeling), pain in stomach and constant nausea that at times get severe. seldom vomit.
Avatar n tn When I first sought medical help, I was feeling a pain in my right side (right under the rib cage). My blood tests were actually normal (at the time I was several weeks sober). When the pain persisted, they did a CT Scan and found fattly infiltration of liver. At this point, I feel fine if I don't drink. If I do, I get a pain pretty quickly. The longer I stay off alcohol, the better I feel.
1216899 tn?1288573925 With all the sites out there that have info on Vitamin D, their just doesn't seem to be one that has all the symptoms that can accompany vitamin d deficiency. I'm going to list my symptoms, so that others may have some insight, in layman's terms. I hope anyone else with the deficiency would also post theirs.

527589 tn?1301681778 Since you have bone spurs, osteoarthritis and cervical stenosis, the symptoms are being aggravated. Please get an MRI of the brain. In fact you may need a series of MRI to diagnose to rule out MS. I think you have not consulted a neurologist so far and that is why you have been made to run around. Please take the MRI reports of brain, pelvic region and spine and consult a good neurologist.
Avatar n tn Hi Sebastiandelacroix- I am having some of the same symptoms as you and am wondering what it is also. I am interested in knowing if you have some of the others I have had...along with the involuntary twitching in my legs and numbness and tingling in my arms and hands I have had fatigue and migraines. My doc put me on a heart medication for my migraines and they have subsided for the most part but now the twitching and arm/hand probs have arisen.
Avatar n tn I really hope doctors would give more research into BTM as it has substantial symptoms. I'm still in search of some medication or diet that would alleviate tiredness/fatigue, and of course for BTM in general. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn I have tried everything known to man and have spent thousands of $ trying to get some relief but the only thing is to go to bed early every night and don't break that pattern or you will be up the creek and I found out that a gluten free diet helped with the tiredness/fatigue, I have broken the diet over Christmas and have really suffered because of it.

1183618 tn?1277368706 I am only 5 weeks into treatment. Currently taking 50,000IU weekly. My level was the same as yours. Friends who have seen me lately say I have better color in my cheeks and seem to have a little bit more energy. I have read that it can take months (3 to 9 or more) to get back they way you were, if your symptoms are do to Vitamin D def. You wrote "I still having some symptoms" Does this mean some others are improving? If so, I say keep moving forward.
475586 tn?1225027354 My knees do have osteoarthritis in them--I had an MRI. I also have 2 herniated discs in my neck and kyphosis. My sister has RA, so I thought I had it also, but the doctors say no. I have a rheumatologist who is very nice, although most of the treatments I've been getting for fibro are not doing much. He seems sure that other than my knees and my neck, what I have is fibromyalgia. I have pain all the time, aching and soreness and also the sharp, stabbing pains.
Avatar n tn Hello, For your symptoms arthritis should be ruled out. It can be due to osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis and can cause joint deformity that can greatly limit the use of the hands. You should get it evaluated from an orthopedician to confirm the diagnosis. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar n tn What about your diet? Diet has a big affect on people with joint pain. I had the same problem you had........doctors tested and came up with normal blood tests. I did try a new juice called MonaVie that is made of 19 different fruits and has ingredients that help with joints. E-mail me if you would like to try it!
Avatar f tn I continue to have lower back pain, aches in my joints regularly and my abdominal pains come and go. I am not pregnant and have not changed my diet. Can anyone tell me what might be causing these aches and pains and how I can treat these symptoms and feel normal and comfortable again?
Avatar n tn The pain started the first week into inpatient. My diet has not changed and my prescriptions for my blood pressure and cholestrol has not changed in years. Any ideas? I am a 55 year old female.

I have severe FMS/CFS and osteoarthritis (2 knees replacements and full skeletal involvement), as well as most of the illnesses under the FMS umbrella. I was dx with IBS when I was 28 and am now 52. I went through a treatment 10 years ago for high levels of that gut bacteria (sorry..cant remember the name) which contributes to Gastric reflux disease. Have that as well.
Avatar f tn I have M.S.(not terrible, many symptoms but managable thru my life). a stent in my heart (1999 doing well), M.S. induced epilepsy - aura only), fibromyalgia, and osteoarthritis that has flared badly in the last 5 to 6 years. Dur ... [More] ing that time I was taking oxcarbazepine and didn't realize that it was washing out my blood sodium and causing other terrible things to happen to me.
