I have been having a lot of issues with my neck and back. My symptoms started when I was 22, 7 years ago. It started when I woke up one day and had this pressure on one side of my neck, right under the base of my skull and behind my ear. I had this constant feeling of needing to stretch or crack my neck all day. Well this feeling never went away. Eventually I got the pressure on the other side of my neck as well.
I have osteoarthritis in my neck moderate and mild in lower back. Can and adjusment help? will they even do an adjustment me? i seem to be losing sensativity in my legs but dont know if iy du to oa in back nad neck.any help would be great. thank you.
I have osteoarthritis in my back and hips. The physiotherapist has given me exercises to help with the pain. Best thing is to keep active, if you can.
Hopefully the ortho will help, and a rheumatologist, like I have seen, will help you cope with the arthritis.
been dealing with back pain for five yrs now.. im still having bouts of back pain which i simply managed thru back stretching exercise and during the flare ups anti inflamatorries drug. my pain is from neck down to lumbar , buttocks and sometimes leg..but more felt on the right side,, lately, i have lightheaded feelings, headpain back of my skulll connecte to my neck, i sometimes having problem with balance, blurry eyes and very sensetive to light,and sometimes dizzy feeling..
Back in July 2013, I developed pain in both thumbs while playing my banjo. I had recently started new playing techniques on the banjo with both hands. I am 48 years old. I've been to a hand therapist and she believe it is some type of repetitive stress injury and since then I've only play a little and have used splints and exercises etc. I feel things have been getting better but slowly. Recently, I went to a sports medicine hand doctor and he had said I have osteoarthritis.
The osteoarthritis may progress slowly over time. Strengthening the muscles that support the neck and cervical spine may lesson symptoms of pain and discomfort.

i'm 52 , a couple month ago my neck and my head just started to poo , crack , very discomfort , is there a name for this ? should i worry or tell my doctor ?
Although I have had 2 surgeries on my cervical spine for ruptured discs and lax ligaments (am now fused from C3-C6), I am now told that I have significant osteoarthritis at C1-C2 (atlanto-axial joint) Accupuncture did relieve a lot of the associated muscle spasms but I still get bone pain sometimes even at the base of my skull. I've also wrenched the left side of my neck twice in the past 6 weeks at work.
A less technical name for this condition is osteoarthritis of the neck, or degenerative disk disease of the neck.. The most common symptom is stiff neck which is most often one of the very first signs. Neck stiffness tends to grow progressively worse over time. Along with pain, cervical spondylosis can be accompanied by parathesias and muscle weakness in the neck, shoulders, arms and hands, and a syndrome called “numb, clumsy hands”. Dizziness may occur on neck movement .
I, too, get terrible, awful headaches. They start at the base of my neck and move up the back of my head. The only thing that touches it is 1000mg of Advil every 4 hours. I had an MRI and was told I have stenosis, Degenerative disc disease, osteoarthritis, blah, blah, blah. What the headache is from is the occipital nerve being pinched. Surgery is an option, but relief comes from anti-inflammatories like Advil.
My husband keeps getting recurrent pain in his neck. He has had to go to the ER a few times and x-rays were normal. He went to the dr. yesterday and she gave him Flexeril and Ultram but they don't seem to help the pain. Tonight I put hot, wet washrags (making them hotter slowly) and after waiting about 15 minutes, rubbed ben-gay on his neck and shoulder muscles. He says 'if I could just crack my neck, I think it would feel allot better'.
hi im 19 and just found out i have arthritis in my jaw i an chew steak it cracks when i chew everything even bread sometimes it locks up then cracks out and it really hurts the other night i woke up with back pains and my wrists were sore and stiff and same with my knees, my ankles are always sore and my neck thy get worse in colder months , is it possible that i have arthritis in all my joints i did gymnastics as a kids and been riding horses all my life .
I've been on methadone/oxycodone 15mg for 3 yrs for back surgery and ddd in my neck with osteoarthritis in my hip/kneeand ankle. I came off my oxygen in may 2018 and became very depressed. can I switch back to oxygen and eliminate the methadone?

for five days prior to pulling it and another course of five days after
the extraction.
I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis in my neck and lower back several years ago. I also have a scoliosis in the middle of my back. As the years have progressed, so has my pain. After being treated, occasionally, by my primary physician, he thought it was time to refer me to a pain specialist. The pain specialist sent me for a psychiatric evaluation and for X-rays/MRI.
