1257704 tn?1269493583 Although without being able to examine you I can not offer you the specific advice on diagnosis and treatment that you need, but I would try to provide you some relevant information about your health concern. Generally pain in the back portion of the head originates from the neck problems due to irritation in the cervical (neck) spine because the nerves that supply the back of the head start in the upper cervical spine.
408795 tn?1324939275 I have extensive Osteoarthritis in my upper back and neck from an accident I was in over 20yrs ago. I had an accident and I broke my right leg and my left arm. As a result my right leg is slightly bowed and therefore around a half inch shorter than my left leg. As a result it has affected my back and neck. Lately my legs have been swelling and itching, mostly the left. I certainly feel it's all related to my right leg injury.

I was told that applying for a total and permanent disability to ensure I would not have to try and work. My Dr.
7486852 tn?1410355784 I have osteoarthritis in my knees but I need a to have my hips, wrists/hands and back looked at as well the pain is disabling.. The pain in my feet, shoulders, and ribs are more of an uncomfortable feeling than actual pain, although it does get worse with movement, and the other places that hurt, hurt constantly even if I am just sitting, standing, or lying down, although lying down is when its the least painful.
Avatar n tn Same thing happened to my Mom after a fall. I'm taking natural supplements to rid my body of this (had arthritis in neck, back and shoulder too) and am already feeling better. Just realized that the constant 'clicking' in my neck isn't happening nearly as much and back is feeling better. As great as some docs are, they don't know everything - only what they are taught and thinking changes all the time as new discoveries are made.

Avatar f tn I am not in pain, I am uncomfortable because I feel the constant need to move, stretch, and crack my neck and back. I also feel it in my arm and hand when my back is acting up. I think it has something to do with my nerves, I just don't know what...

5536514 tn?1373503602 I am 65 and I am afraid my bones are falling apart. I have osteoarthritis. I also experience bone cracking in my neck. The same for my knees. I can almost tell when it's going to rain. The back pain starts as soon as I get up in the morning. After I have taken a muscle relaxer it is still there but only slightly. I do not want to become dependent on pill. I have hepc and cirrosis of the liver. Can you shed a little light on my problem.

Avatar n tn Mostly the neck and lower back are where the average person gets it. It's basically wear and tear on your body. Once they've worn alot in one spot, they start growing a "Burr". Osteoporosis can be just from your age, or can also be from medications you're taking, or from an imbalance of the amount of Calcium and magnesium (or is it manganese???) you get. Or the Lupus could be causing an imbalance or inability to absorb calcium.
Avatar m tn I've had serious back and neck pain for around three years now. I'm an 18 year old girl. It is always present but becomes worse later in the day. Any type of activity can make it worse - from sitting and reading to exercising. I constantly feel the need to "click" parts of by back and neck, which I didn't do before it started hurting. I also have joint pain in my hands and feet. It is usually the worst in my left shoulder blade.
Avatar f tn I can't sleep more than a few hours with all the pain in back, neck, back of my head and shoulders waking me up. I just wanted to know if anyone over 50 years old had their rods removed and if there was any improvement in the pain at all after the removal and/or if you were glad that you had the rods removed. I want relief DESPERATELY but do not want to spend the rest of my life medicated on drugs only to slightly benefit me with minimum or barely any relief or improvement with the pain.
1422878 tn?1284588193 Have you undergone any neck injuries lately. Sometimes when people shift the discs in their back and neck the pain can radiate to one, or more of the limbs. It sounds nerve related, so a discogram may be something you should look into. I would try to identify whether or not your symptoms are trauma related. If you have reptured a disc, you will know as soon as you take the discogram, if not, I would see your GP and get an MRI. Did this condition begin when you awoke after a long night?
Avatar n tn At the time my neck and back hurt. The next day it was better and pain was in my elbow. April 7 2005 I had an ulnar nerve transposition to the right arm. Since then my pain is worse. It is now sharp shooting pains in my neck, shoulder, and right arm.(sometimes into my head also.) All on right side. Also my neck pops really loudly now, and my shoulder burns and feels heavy. I had a cervical MRI in Sept 2005. My doctor (work comp) said it was normal but put me in PT.
1318375 tn?1274324381 Please someone help! I've been having pain in my neck, back, shoulder and arm for about 9 months now. I've been in pain management after MRI results came back showing I have 3 mild bulging discs in my cervical spine. I also have a herniated disc in my thoracic spine. I've had many steroid injections, nerve blocks, and even a radio frequency procedure (which was not fun). I've had mild relief from the procedures but it's always back within 3 weeks or so.

1075109 tn?1281839291 Hi everyone. I have been doing pretty well with the Fibromyalgia but it's back and this time it has embedded itself in my right shoulder. It's so painful I can barely pick up a cup sometimes. Even the bone of the joint is painful. What's up with that?
