Avatar n tn Sorry, can't be of help there. I managed health food stores for 18 years, but was already on medication when I started. By the time I learned natural supplements well enough to treat myself, I was already on Paxil. When the side effects got so bad I couldn't write, which I had turned to full time, I had my shrink take me off it, but he never told me about withdrawal even when I was going through it.
2112967 tn?1339022368 Contractions started out irregular/infrequent and are now becoming more frequent and regular (mostly been around 10 - 20 minutes apart and only a few here and there are lasting around a minute long), as of 4 weeks ago my OB told me that (after a check) my cervix was still closed, I wasn't effacing yet, but my lil guy was head down (and my OB could just start to feel the head), as of 3 weeks ago my OB told me that I was 60% effaced, wasn't dilating yet, and the baby's head seemed to
535822 tn?1443976780 To test the thyroid properly you have to test at least T4 and T3, and preferable T1 and T2 as well. And if you are hypothyroid, the natural remedy is kelp and bladderwrack for their iodine content.
222322 tn?1271022838 t know any more about the cyst until my ultrasound June 1st. Are there any other natural remedies that work? According to drs, this cyst has a much higher chance of being benign than malignant, and I really want to avoid another surgery. I also want to try to get pregnant sometime this year (hopefully, after I get a job teaching, I want to plan a baby for next summer if possible). Does anyone know of anything else I can do to get rid of this thing?
Avatar f tn Castor oil worked for me.
Avatar f tn Hi there, There are many natural ways to help you cope with PTSD. First and foremost remember that FEAR IS INSUBSTANTIAL. When fear is confronted, it disappears in a puff of smoke. Taking long walks is very good. It is the "blue collar" form of EMDR therapy. Scince you have insurance, I would suggest some EMDR and or DNMS therapy. Avoid Psychiatrists if you want to stay off meds. There are herbal offerings to help you sleep such as chamomille teas.
Avatar f tn Thank you very much, I've been running latley to try and keep it under control and it seems to be helping alot. Thank-you for the advice.

Avatar f tn And was wondering if there were any natural ways to treat it? Or how any of you lovely ladies took Care of yours if and when you had one.
Avatar n tn There are no known side effects in healthy people with suppressive medication. Stop believing everything you read on the tubes and get some accurate information, and go from there. The best bang for your buck is suppressive medication. Herbal remedies are great at getting the money out of your pocket, but not much more. But knock yourself out trying them. You'll spend a lot more for those than suppressives.

Avatar f tn Hi, I've not got a diagnosis for my pain, however it is concurrent with symptoms for osteoarthritis. As I've been suffering with pain in my knees, hips, lower back and knuckles for 12 years now I'm not holding out on a diagnosis anytime soon, more so because I know how much the medical comminity seem to despise diagnosing osteoarthritis in anyone below 50, I'm 30 so another 20 years to go before acknowledgement of OA will be given!
Avatar m tn If you have osteoporosis, I think it is best to take the medication prescribed by your doctor. Supplements and herbal remedies are not approved by the FDA. I have not seen any studies to indicate that this is an effective alternative. While this may be beneficial, I would think the treatment plan would be the one your doctor prescribes.
Avatar m tn s very complicated, since different parts of the world have different remedies and systems. Generally, natural medicine will work on different parts of the body, for example, they might target GABA but also work on the adrenals and blood sugar and hormones since all can be involved. Given that, you might want to consult a naturopath or a physician who practices integrated medicine.

Avatar m tn It should be fine. I use it. But you should always do your homework -- google anything you're going to take and check contraindications. Lexapro is an antidepressant that's also used for anxiety. There are some theoretical contraindications with melatonin, though as with most natural remedies the research is not very good because of the lack of patentability. Without money, no research.

Avatar f tn My most helpful things: 1) Anti-inflamatory diet. Can't say enough good about this. No stabbing pain since the diet change. I have lost 10 lbs. and feel really good. 2) Pro-biotics. 40 bucks at a health food store. Re-introducing all the good bacteria that the anti-biotics destroyed along with the bad. I feel like it is restoreing my immune system. 3) Calcium Benzonite Clay. (or healing clay) also from a Health Food Store. Applied to the breast like a poltice. Draws the infection out.
5426152 tn?1382129604 I woke up with a cold. I am due on Sunday but my OB did a strech and sweep yesterday and said I'll likely go into labor this week. I've been having my bloody show/ loosing my plug all day so I know the clock is ticking and labor is soon. I am allergic to cold medicines so that is not an option. Any suggestions for natural remedies to help me shake this? So far I've done a sinus rinse twice, drank lemon and honey and gargled with salt water. I do not want to labor with a cold!
