Omeprazole walgreens

Common Questions and Answers about Omeprazole walgreens

Avatar n tn It has worked well for her. A few weeks ago her gastroenterologist prescribed a generic omeprazole 20 mg. The prescription came from Walgreens and is made by Zydus Pharmaceuticals. She has been talking it for 10 days and has been sick with reflux and cramps the entire time. Is there some kind of difference between the two?
Business man3 1 mg, Celebrex 200 mg, Alrex Eye Drops, Fluoxetine 20 mg, Omeprazole 20 mg, Meloxicam 15 mg, and Lisinopril 20 mg. With these as our regular daily subscriptions, can you recommend a Drug Plan that would be the most economical? We have been using Walgreens for many years and are looking for a program that will give us a reasonable price if we can continue with Walgreens. Thanks for any help or suggestions you can give us.
Avatar m tn I feel better if I lie down on my left side or get up and walk around. I am a regular user of omeprazole (generic, Walgreens) because 10-12 years ago I was diagnosed as hypersecretory -- too much stomach acid -- and mild duodenitis (confirmed by EGD). I mention that I use omeprazole at every doctor visit and they don't seem to see it as a huge deal, but there does appear to be spirited, active debate about long-term PPI use.

Avatar m tn I visited the doctor and explained to him about having unprotected sex and he sent me for a blood work for the regular test, I was also given antibiotics for sore throat and omeprazole for stomach. Results for HIV were negative after 4 days of waiting. This stomach ache kept on but sore throat had gone away.
Avatar n tn then talked to my own doc and he said it was really the best med and try it again, which I did and was finally able to tolerate it by the 3rd day. He also has me on Omeprazole and I take low dose Xanax. Finished the meds and thought I would be feeling better. Two days later, I started having nausea, phlygm continues and some bloating. Talked to the Doc again and then he says there is a 60% chance the medication will work! I don't like those odds.
Avatar n tn Not relieved again went (BP 140/90). Got X-Ray chest/ lateral, ECG, S. Cholesterol, B. Sugar, Hb normal. Taking Omeprazole/ Pentoprazole for acidity/gas. Relieved of back pain and palpitation and left chest pain (though they are there occasionally).
Avatar f tn If you are having problems with your stomage for it you could take some omeprazole pills 15 mins before you take the antibiotic so it covers your stomage. The swelling and pain on your mouth wont get better without your antibiotics... Keep doing washes (gagles) with warm water and salt.. It will help the swelling.

Avatar n tn Eventually, an over-the-counter, version, Prilosec came out and my insurance company (Anthem) told me to switch (so that they wouldn't have to pay). A few years ago I started buying the cheaper generics (omeprazole) from Walgreens and Costco. These worked just as well. About two weeks ago, I saw that Previcid was now over-the-counter so I tried some. The first day was fine, the second day was when a very nasty headache started. I rarely get headaches.
Avatar f tn I used a time release formuary of prilocet (omeprazole) and was quite pleased that made a difference. I had been taking 2 pills perday - Docs prescription morming and evening. The sustained release formula from Walgreens works just fine. Good luck!
Avatar f tn I did find one specific thing that does help. As soon as I get the first sulfur burps, I rush to Walgreens to get the store brand version of pepto (real pepto doesn't work for me either). Bismuth Subsalicylate, I think it's just called Soothe? I take 2 tablets every 2-3 hours and it keeps all the symptoms at bay or to the minimum and gets rid of the sulfur burps altogether.
Avatar m tn PART 1 Vitamin B 12, an essential nutrient, is also known as cobalamin. The cobal in the name refers to the metal cobalt contained in B 12. Vitamin B 12 is required for the normal activity of nerve cells and works with folate and vitamin B 6 to lower blood levels of homocysteine, a chemical in the blood that might contribute to heart disease. B 12 also plays a role in the body's manufacture of S-adenosylmethionine (SAMe). Anemia is usually (but not always) the first sign of B 12 deficiency.

Avatar f tn The cheapest way for me to get my calories when I'm not hungry is to make a protein/fruit shake. I buy the Walgreens brand of chocolate protein powder and Walmart mixed frozen fruit. Add the following to your blender: 1 1/4 cup of water, 3/4 scoop of protein powder, 2 cups of frozen fruit. You can add sugar or sugar substitute to make it sweeter; then just blend it again. You can taste the protein powder at first, but after about 3 shakes, you can't taste it anymore. I hope this helps!
Avatar n tn I thought at first that it was just me getting old and that I couldn't handle spicy foods any more, but now my tongue and mouth have started burning from minty things like toothpaste and even from chewing spearmint gum. I also have GERD I have been taking Omeprazole(Prilosec) for years and I haven't been troubled by reflux since I've been taking it.
Avatar n tn I take Vitamin C with Ester. I have recently started taking Resveratrol of which I bought at Walgreens. If this stuff (resveratrol) helps from everything I have read about it, I am going to go to a high grade type that does cost a bit more. Everyone should read up on it. I also will say is to let the do's know what you are taking, maybe they will get hip to this.
Avatar m tn This medicine cost $429/month at my local Walgreens. I can't afford that every month. So, since September, I've gained the weight back and am afraid to go back to the endo to tell him that I love the victoza but can't afford it. My insurance company specifically excludes this medicine. Not even a letter from my doctor will get it for me. I'm hugely disappointed.
