Avatar f tn I would cover both bases with both the sucralfate and omeprazole.
Avatar m tn Also see if they will prescribe Sucralfate. Coats your lower esophagus and stomach. See if that helps. Doc told me when I was tedted for h.pylori even after it is eradicated that it might be a while before symptoms go away. Sucralfate can help healing of any damage due to acid.
Avatar f tn Last ten days with omeprazole I get some headaches and sometimes I feel white bubbles in urine like calcium. Yesterday I drink little green tea and it made my chest horrible.
Avatar m tn Now within the last 4 weeks I have been having nausea and one day I did vomit and a call to my doctors office suggested to push fluids and make sure to take my Omeprazole. I did and my symptoms subsided. I stayed on the BRAT diet for about 10 days after thinking I possibly had a virus or ? I started to eat a more regular diet and then started getting nausea again, and the feeling of regurgitation. I take the Omeprazole twice daily.
Avatar m tn 2 week after discharge i was admitted in again for sever upper abdominal pain just below the centre of my ribs it made me feel nausea. i did blood test, ct scan and endoscope. and nothing was found. the doctor gave me omezole and said it was probably due to indigestion. it has been a month since the last discharge and the pain is still constantly there for a month be it morning or afternoon. i would rate it 4 out of 10 pain point. sometimes it gets worst after food.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with H pylori and have been on triple antibiotics- Amoxicillan, omeprazole, metronidazole. I am also on Sucralfate for acid control, promethazine for vomit control and Hydrocodone for pain control. Does this really sound like H. Pylori or is there a possibility that something else is going on?
Avatar m tn I am going to have to wait another 2 weeks for results and am back taking the omeprazole but my stomach is constanlty bloating up after eating. Is this a side effect of the tablets?? i have been taking these tablets 6 weeks in total but i am stil suffering severly with bloating and my stomach is constanlty rumbling. Does this sound like h pylori or does anyone else suffer sever bloating from these omeprazole tablets.
Avatar f tn Well, it is now after 11:00 pm and I am no better. I finally tried to eat some soup and crackers. Mtook another Omeprazole before. Still bloated, nauseated and "extremely" dry mouth and throat. Biotene products, drinking water, sucking sugarless lemon lozenges, nothing helps. Was laying down watching TV and again broke out in a sweat. Tried taking a Tums, no help. The GI doc gave me a prescription for generic Levsin. I have never taken this before. Side effects scare me.
Avatar f tn I am currently taking carafate, omeprazole, and sucralfate but I still have the problem. Could something else be wrong with me aside from the gastritis? Could something be wrong with my pelvic walls? Have you ever experienced patients who have this problem? Is there anything that can be done for me? Please help me. I feel so lost.
Avatar m tn omeprazole OTC (20mg) by itself, sucralfate by itself, and currently on a combination of sucralfate and esomeprazole (40mg); these therapies have reduced the gurgling slightly, but have far from gotten rid of it - I have tried avoiding the triggers (alcohol, seasoned food, NSAIDs) a few times and the symptoms have gone away; however, as soon as I ingested even a tiny amount of the irritating substance, the sympotoms came back with full force - I have not experienced any black or tarry stools, n
1222076 tn?1423027749 It dont seem to matter what I do I still feel like crap pretty much daily. I have took Omeprazole, Rantac and sucralfate. I have had 2 upper endoscopys. One before my surgery which I spent the night before the Endoscopy throwing up acid every 15 minutes the other endoscopy I had a year ago. Both times my GI doctor just told me I produce to much acid. I have been tested for ulcers and have had multiple lab tests done.

Avatar n tn I was given sucralfate, metoclopram, and omeprazole. Bactrim as an antibiotic but I found out I am allergic to it and cannot take it. Thanks for your response, I am looking for a new gyno. I will make sure to ask for one of these different procedures.
Avatar m tn Has anyone been prescribed the medication Sucralfate, Rebamipide or Misoprostol before? I do believe this medication will really help lower patm significantly if not treat it.
5285867 tn?1365993292 I barely eat and lost 25 lbs. I am on omeprazole 40mg and Zantac 75. I was put on sucralfate 1gm twice a day. I was on thyroid pills for all my life. It has been inconsistant for a year now. My heart skips beats so I had a thyroid test and my levels were normal so I was taken off the pills since I quit taking them for 2 weeks. I will get my thyroid checked once again this month. My question is do I still take all these pills. What can I eat that does not produce Bile and easy on my stomach.
484583 tn?1230605092 I give the med in a syringe orally (5 ml squirted in to her mouth tid). About 10 days ago as I was administrating the sucralfate, my dog closed her mouth and the sucralfate splashed back in my face. I washed it off my face right away, but did not rinse my eyes right away because I did not think any went in my eye. It was on my glasses, but my eyes did not hurt or sting. A few hours later my eyes did start to sting a little and I rinsed them out with standard eyewash solution.
Avatar m tn I have been suffering from bile refluxing into my stomach for approximately two years. This was confirmed by two endoscopies within a year performed by same surgeon. I also had a ultra sound, blood work and a hida scan with a ejection fraction of 89%, all were normal. I am currently taking sulcrafate four times daily, the surgeon also prescribed reglan (which I am afraid to take from all the horror stories I've heard). So, I'm just taking the sucralfate and avoiding fatty foods.
1222076 tn?1423027749 So they told me to take my Protonix twice a day and they prescribed me sucralfate 4 times a day for a month. Then I have to go in for a follow up next month. Im just happy it went ok and that Im not in pain like I was last time I had it done a few years ago. Hopefully these meds will help me get completely back to normal.

I need a way to cure everything. i also had a mild sludge in my gallbladder and it was functioning at 34%. It was enlarged with a cholesterol ring around it. i was on prevacid for 2 1/2 weeks in july. I'm 5'6 1/2 and weigh only 104.
Avatar f tn In case of resistant bacteria,Amoxcillin can be replaced by Metronidazole and other combinations of H2 antagonists and mucosal protective agents and multi vitamins help a lot. Avatar n tn Thanks for the suggestions. I'll try the alka-selzer, but it contains aspirin which I'm supposed to take only in limited, small doses. Over the course of this problem I've taken lots of Omeprazole and Sucralfate, not to mention Tums and Rolaids, none of which seemed to help, Also the PH study was supposedly ruling out an acid problem like Gerd or Heartburn.
Avatar m tn s patients usually have low or no acid which makes me concerned about taking this. And I read about ensuring you space out when you take omeprazole. I also have low ferritin and was taking iron, which I saw online is contradicted. Does anyone have experience with taking this?
10093060 tn?1465822122 I have battled acid reflux for 3 years and recently added sucralfate to the pantoprazole that I take daily. I would like some feedback as to how well this combination has worked for others.
Avatar m tn At first my wife had urinary infection, few weeks later she started to have fever and stomach problems, the docter told her it was a gastroenteritis. I bought her omeprazole and gave her amoxicilline, that worked. She felt fine, but few weeks later she had urinary infection symptoms again. The doctor gave her antibiotics again, that helped her.
Avatar m tn Following a valve replacement and triple bypass I was discharged from Hospital with a number of drugs and a new one being Omeprazole. I did not know why it was prescribed but after a number of months taking it I decided after discussion with my Doctor to stop taking it. A few months later through the night I got this terrible chest pain on a scale of 1-10 I guess it was 7-8.
Avatar f tn I have GERD and a hiatal hernia and have been taking omeprazole twice a day every day for a few months (I had been on Prevacid for several years before the omeprazole but insurance won't cover it any more). If your main symptom is burping, I would try going off of the omeprazole and switching to gas-x or some other type of gas relief medicine. As long as you aren't having a lot of problems with heartburn or acid reflux, you would probably be fine to discontinue using the omeprazole.
Avatar m tn Hi. I am taking omeprazole for laryngopharyngeal reflux for the past 2 days. I am supposed to take two pills daily, one before breakfast and one before dinner. Today, i started having this feeling that food is stuck in my chest and back of my throat but I don't have any problems swallowing. It is an uncomfortable feeling in my chest. I did not have this symptom prior to starting the drug. Is this a side effect of the drug?
