I am about to switch from olanzapine to seroquel. Is it ok to just stop taking olanzapine and start taking seroquel? I am on a very low dose of olanzapine.
I was put on olanzapine an anti phycotic on top of my fluvoxamine meleate 200mg for deap depression after and home invasion. While the olanzaoine was helpful with my depression i think it was also causing leg pain. the longer I took it for the worse the pain got and more pain meds I needed to take to get threw my day to just walk. Once I was strong enough to come off olanzapine I weaned my self off and the leg pain started to get better over time.
it depends how much your friend was consuming before he swallowed? i knew people who would sit and blow a 1/4oz in a sitting it deends on his tolerance.

Few months ago a weired thought came into my mind- If their are so many stimuli present at a time how does one's mind pay attention to a selective stimulus. I have been diagnosed with depression and social phobia from a psychiatrist.Initially i took escitalopram and olanzapine for one year but then i changed doctor because i didn't like him so much.I noticed that after the first couple of weeks of taking the meds my cognitive abilities dropped down a lot.The new doctor prescribed me prozac and rhisperdal but right now i also have short term memory problems.
I was being overmedicated by my psychiatrist. I went from taking nothing to taking Klonipin 1mg 3-4x/day, Inderal 10mg 3x/day, and Lamictal. I got up to 150mg of the Lamictal after 7weeks. 5mg and Buproprion XL 300mg... After a couple months and not much change my doctor adds in Olanzapine 5mg, problem is I've been doing a bit of research online and am now too nervous to take the Olanzapine(Zyprexa) with the Clonazepam(Klonopin). Every thing I've seen has basically said that these two can interact very badly causing shallow breathing, loss of consciousness, etc. It would be much appreciated if I could get some feedback from anyone who has taken the two together.
been on zopoclone 15mg and mirtazapine 45mg to help me sleep for four years now. i was on olanzapine as well 10mg. the olanzapine also helped me to sleep. i'm not phycotic just have a very bad sleep problem.. the problem is the zop is no longer working and i am not sleeping at all. i mean not even for five minutes and it is happening day after day. my doc says there is nothing else she can give me and that i will have to manage. i think im dying.

Most likely you've got some anxiety which drives up the heart rate afterwards (caffeine should be out of the body long time ago), but we can't say for sure.

I have been on olanzapine for 15 years and has helped me greatly with anxiety, and other mental health conditions. I am 35 years old and have over the past 7 weeks experienced extreme pain in my feet and ankles. I had also over the past 6 months experienced tingling in the feet and legs which I believe is a side effect of long term use off olanzapine. I have been very concerned over the servere pain in my feet as it is all over the foot and can be painful to walk on.
