Avatar n tn I'm biracial and my skin gets fairly oily, is using an oil absorbing mask upsetting my balance maybe? These are all just ideas and things that I think might be factors but ultimately may not be, which is why I'm asking here. Any comments or ideas on why my skin is acting up and getting worse even though I've only been taking more care would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

508002 tn?1210796842 Two days ago I had a scab and picked. The next day I wake up to this. That afternoon I did use a face mask for oily skin. Could that have done this to me? IS it acne or something worse? Please help!
Avatar n tn I had severe acne, oily skin and cysts till I was 32yrs old. I am now 33 and almost acne free. I still get acne but not enough to panic. I had it really bad. I believe I found a regimen that worked for me. I was in the same boat as you. This is what I did and it finally worked after trying every med and over the counter product there ever was. Here is my regimen, of by the way, I am really light skinned and have oily skin. I stopped drinking milk, I noticed when I drank milk I developed cysts.
Avatar n tn I changed my make up to channel…but since a week every time I wake up in the morning I feel that my skin is oily Please help
Avatar n tn I am 51 years old and have always had excessive oily, acne prone skin. I've been to many dermatologists and doctors and have tried so many things, but nothing works. Please help me. I feel so ugly and dirty with the amount of oil and break-outs on my face at my age. I can live with the acne, but it's the oily skin that I would give anything to find a control for. Thanks for your help.
Avatar m tn To start the discussion on oily skin care, it’s imperative to first understand the cause behind oily skin. Put simply, oily skin is a result of excessive production of sebum (an oily substance that is naturally produced by skin). As is known to everyone, excess of everything is bad; so excessive sebum is bad too. It leads to clogging of skin pores, resulting in accumulation of dead cells and hence formation of pimples/acne. Moreover, oily skin spoils your looks too.
Avatar m tn Is this a good face washing schedule for my oily, acne skin? Morning: 1. Face Cleanse (Salicylic Acid). 2. Face Scrub (Exfoliate). 3. Moisturizer. Night: 1. Face Cleanse (Salicylic Acid). 2. Benzoyl Peroxide.
Avatar n tn I find that im alot more agitated ( stretching feet, uncomfortable in skin etc ). I also tend fo get really nervous around people when my face is oily. When i wash it i feel more refreshed and im more comfortable. Does this make anysense to anyone out there? If so what would u suggest? Any special cream to permanently remove the oilyness for ever? or take medication?
Avatar n tn For the past 32 years, I tried everything from over the counter to prescriptions, nothing worked. I am fair skin, have oily skin. I believe I have found something that worked. For the past year I have been 95% acne free here is my story. I now use these over the counter products, Apple cider vinegar as a daily face wash, I dissolve about 5 aspirins as a paste and use it as a mask for ten minutes daily. I also stopped drinking milk, milk produces hormones that can cause acne.
Avatar f tn After doing some research, I believe it is an over production and build up of sebum on the scalp. I have had acne problems, have rosacea, and my skin and hair is very oily. I found balancing shampoos on line that are supposed to prevent sebum build up. Aveda is one of them, but I haven't tried it. Sebum: substance with an oily consistency produced by the sebaceous glands. It lubricates hair, is an antifungal/antibacterial, and imparts waterproofing properties to the skin.
Avatar n tn gypsy amazing cream or gold pearl for whitning skin
Avatar f tn I have never had any problems with oily skin or oily hair ever. I wash my hair daily and condition. I have not changed my daily regimen in 2 years One thing I have tried was applied Shower to Shower powder to my hair before going to bed and washed out in the morning (not the sexiest looking thing at night but it helps). It drastically reduced the oil, but came back 2 days later. The only thing I worry about is clogging the glands that are producing the oil, so I don't do it daily...
Avatar m tn They call it the mask of pregnancy. All you can do is moisturize & don't over wash. That will make it worse.
Avatar f tn Here is my regimen, of by the way, I am really light skinned and have oily skin. I stopped drinking milk, I noticed when I drank milk I developed cysts. Milk produces hormones that are known to break people out. I know drink almond milk. I also use this product called tanda, its a bit expensive but it works, its a blue light therapy that eliminated bacteria in your face.

Even before I was pregnant I always just used ivory soap bc it is gentle and not full of chemicals like others... I still use that and like every other day I scrub with st apricots... Avatar n tn Google it , you will find that the spice you buy at the grocery store, mix it with either olive oil or yogurt. Apply on your skin on the white spots or as a ''body mask'' and leave it for a while. Do that every day or twice a day. The white spots will get better and hopefully the cells will heal. That is the purpose of Turmeric / Curcuma to cure the cells from skin diseases, amongst other properties. Turmeric and Curcuma are the same thing. I buy it in the spices section.

Avatar n tn I am 43 and have washed my hair daily for as long I can remember. I have oily skin and hair but never been a problem. Last week I washed my hair as normal, dried it and noticed that my crown looked really greasy and my hair around the crown extremely dull. I presumed I hadnt washed my conditioner out properly but same happened next day.

Avatar n tn The beauty of this oil (and it is often termed a 'beauty oil') is that it will repair and build the outer layer of skin over time and thus make it less thin, fragile and sensitive. Jojoba oil balances the skin and it will treat both the oily areas and pimples while deeply moisturising the dry patches. I have been using Jojoba Oil for 3 months now and my skin is more balanced than it has ever been.
Avatar m tn I posted this info before, but it was a reply to someone else's similar post... I am a 23 year old healthy male. I recently had a full physical and the results were that I am in above average health. I have no diseases, do not use drugs, but drink on occasion. Anyways, just started noticing these strange symptoms, within the past few weeks. Nothing "brought it on" so to speak that I can tell of.
Avatar f tn Bronner's Tea Tree liquid soap (one with the orange label) as it contains antimocrobial essential oils (does not clog pores or leave skin oily). Avoiding sugar & antibiotics was also key for me. I hope this helps!
