Avatar n tn I havent heard of a hemmheriod skin tage before.I have known other people with regular skin tags that looked like moles that had them removed. They didnt say it much.I guess if it's in the anal area it may be a bit more painful though.
Avatar f tn All over the bearded part of my face, what appeared to be sacs of hardened oil under the surface of the skin had been forming nodules. These didn’t get infected, each just grew larger. Over the years I’ve seen dermatologists who said, because of my otherwise great health, “you’re just a middle aged adolescent,” blaming it on high testosterone, etc. The apparent acne problem continued and worsened.
Avatar m tn Three days ago I started feeling like whatever this was is now in my skin (I'm certain of it), It's under the skin on my face, my scalp, my back, my toes, and my feet. I can feel it crawling in and out of my anus at times also. Went to the dermatoligist today and of couse he says it's my imagination, some people get it. He's subscribed me some DEXEPIN for depression. :( Funny thing is I'm not depressed, my life was quite good until this bug showed up.

5770257 tn?1374375022 Im 12+6 and have them on my hips, belly and boobs and the itching is driving me nuts. I cant afford Bio Oil/Vitamin E Oil or Cocoa Butter as my partner was in a car crash last week and every spare cent is being saved for a new car and a bigger flat for us and baby!
537639 tn?1232057169 As well as making sure you are moisturizing your skin externally, also remember to drink enough water, and try taking some Coconut Oil internally as well, helps to keep hair and skin supple. If you are really struggling you could also try using an antihistamine at night to help the itch and help you sleep. I found promethazine (Phenergan, Phenadoz, Promethegan) to be most effective for my itchy skin.
Avatar f tn Just to say that I have been using baby oil in the bath and vasaline at night and after washing - my skin is absorbing the vasaline it is so dry. I put oil on after washing, then vasaline after that - Even on my face and feet. I know it is pretty heavy but I found it to hold in the moisture a bit, all my creams absorb in seconds. Also Vitamin E oil, expensive and very thick too, but helps with healing and moisturizing. But basby oil will work okay as well.
Avatar f tn I've tried everything from tea-tree oil, lavender oil, and face masks. I was my face 2-3 times a day and I was my pillow cases every week. I can't afford a dermatologist and I've looked into skin peels but they're so expensive. I am a bit stressed out at the moment because I just moved into a new country but I don't think that's the reason I've been breaking out. I've also stopped wearing make-up. Any ideas on how I can get rid of my purple scars and reduce my breakouts?
1327032 tn?1288844355 campaign is a lobster, which is how you may look right now. I found coconut oil very soothing for my skin during tx but it was super-messy on the sheets 'cause I used the straight cooking type.
Avatar f tn frozen yoghurt instead of icecream, sweetener instead of sugar, yoghurt instead of mayo or cream, etc. The Press here in NZ published a list of things you should avoid with ideas on how to exchange: http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/news/6471889/Fruit-juice-honey-among-no-nos-says-dietitian Then try to cook your favourite food in a different, more health way.
Avatar m tn If you use MT as directed, it shouldn't affect the liver and in most cases it will help. I did a quick perusal of google and this is just a piece of what I found. It appears that MT does help your condition, but to get even a better affect you will need another ingredient. Oh be sure not to take too much MT as I had a toxic experience using too much. Also, you are not supposed to use MT with xanax.
3101094 tn?1341776616 It is an emerging disease in Australia...I don't know much about it in NZ. Lyme in Oz does not fit the North American or the European disease presentation. You might contact the Australian Lyme Disease Association to ak them some wuestions. They are aware of some people in NZ who have it. This might be helpful. http://www.ilads.org/lyme_disease/B_guidelines_12_17_08.
Avatar n tn I have another CT scan on Thursday so I'll keep you posted. I am going on a trial drug called Caelyx (Doxil), only just a trial here in NZ but has been used in the UK and USA for a few years. I only wish that in the near future they can detect ovarian cancer before it gets to stage 3.
Avatar n tn Hello, I've seen a dermatologist about a skin condition that I have on my face, but they could not figure out what it was. It did not fit into any categories of skin conditions like acne, rosacea, etc. They tried many oral and topical medications but nothing worked. Here are some links to pictures, http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/9291/dsc00854vm5.jpg http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/2770/dsc00859hd4.
Avatar f tn Have you tried using virgin coconut oil with the itches, it has been helping a lot of ppl. Especially with the wiggles, the itching which makes you walk faster... I don't know what to suggest concerning sleep deprivation, as I never had that problem. I'm wishing you all the best... People will chime in soon, there are a few who have been on the Tela trial.
Avatar n tn i use shampoo & soap that i pay too much for!!-but both are natural,v mild and aloe based(occasionally a teatree based shampoo)....before i shower i grease up scalp&body with aloe vera gel for hours of absorption and i just shampoo less often...this has helped me with: itchy scalp, scabs & sores&dry itchy skin..I haven't reacted to medicines with profound skin problems like you have,so comparisons are maybe less than useless..

Avatar n tn Ok. Here's my experience and what helped me: I had all of the painful symptoms most of you describe. I tried EVERYTHING to get my itchy, swollen, flaky, painful eyelids to disappear. It was horrible! Not only was it painful & ugly, I couldn't see correctly. I went to many doctors who prescribed me topical steroids, drops, they would temporary help but in the end not enough and I now suffer from thinning of the skin around my eyes which is permanent. My skin was steroid addicted.

Avatar m tn Or maybe the sun isn't actually burning, but inflaming some skin condition. Dunno. So wondering if else experiencing this extreme sort of sun or light sensitivity while treating or after? If so, how long did it last after your stopped the treatment drugs. Any suggestions welcome as sunscreens don't seem to help, possibly even irritate.
Avatar n tn Because steroids weaken the immune system, and I had a little bit of infection after using the ABD, but the anti-fungal cream helped in a couple of days. Something that also has given the skin on my hands a lot of strength is fish oil capsules. Ive been taking around 4,000 mg a day for the past week and have noticed the skin on my hands has become more hydrated. The oil moisturizes from the inside out and the EFA's help with overall skin health.
Avatar f tn I noticed some change after I started taking an antibiotic course. People around me now, react as if they are allergic to me [coughing, sneezing, watery itchy eyes]. I have also have terrible GI issues [pain & constipation], mucus in my stool, I have lost 20 lbs, rashes on both my knees, some hair loss, food sensitivities & skin changes. I have been to so many physicians and have had my blood drawn over 10 times, endoscopy, xrays/ct scans as well in the last few months.
Avatar f tn I was successful and healthy between head injuries. I am now going to challenge my insurer (NZ ACC) who stopped my entitlements because of the 1969 accident (pre-existing). At some point after my second accident 1990 my left eye changed colour from green to blue. The corneal transplant was on the right eye. At impact in the 1990 accident I lost vision completely. It was black not brown there was no colour.
Avatar n tn One of the cause of Aquagenic Pruritus is reduced activity of the oil glands of your skin and not producing enough oily stuff which makes your skin dry and itchy while it gets wet anyway. Remedy: I use olive oil all over my body before taking a shower and after the shower, I massage the oil thoroughly. It comforts me a great deal!! Aquagenic Pruritus also triggered by the chlorine and other stuff in water.
Avatar n tn Once it stops etching, I take out my feet and dry those with a towel, without rubbing. 2- Soon after I apply some oil (may be brassica oil, olive oil or whatever natural oil i can get) to it... As soon as I feel my skin drying, I apply oil again. Usually 4 to 5 times in 4 to5 hours. This not only stops etching for 4 to 5 hours, but gradually reduces the intensity of inflamation as well. I repeat this after every 5 to 8 hours.
288609 tn?1240100356 Thank you all. I am almost always thirsty from a terribly dry mouth and skin. It never seems to be quenched. My nose is dried out also and I have turned into a mouth breather esp. at night leaving me parched. I enjoy Jamba Juice and soft serve because of the mouth sores but there are a lot of calories in them. I unfortunately have gained 25 #'s on TX with the lack of exercise and my penchant for ice cream. Comfort food I guess.
1722607 tn?1335751458 I do not smoke, I do not drink, doing lots of juicing and flax seed oil so I guess the skin preserved itself As for energy, well that is a different story. Untill one year ago I enjoyed weight training but than I started to be too tired for that. Hoping that I will get back into it in one year time after, fingers crossed, curing both the HCV and the cancer.
696715 tn?1228202614 It can affect *all* areas of skin to some degree; dryness, rashes and itching, but not all of us. It seems to depend on the person. If it bothers you, a scarf can help; or maybe a ‘hoodie’ in the winter. Better to have thin hair than liver damage, eh?
Avatar n tn I have been to an allergist and dermatologist and have left with no answers. HELP! I use Tea Tree Oil which helps a little but I can still feel the sensations under my skin. It's hard to understand how there is not an answer for this or a treatment to help relive this. I am not one to take any medication but there has to be something out there.
