He prescribed nystatin triamcinolone acetonide and I used it twice a day as instructed. I noticed a small difference of it getting better, but it is not gone. Every once in a while I feel a sharp pain there. What should I do? I am willing to do anything to get rid of this. Should I keep putting the nystatin triamcinolone acetonide on? I went to my gyno with severe irritation on my genitals, and burning urination. Initial diagnosis was a yeast infection as well as a bladder infection. She prescribed me diflucan, an antibiotic, and nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. I wasn't able to immediately pick up the medications, and didn't begin treatment for another 10 hours or so. The next day I was still in moderate pain with extremely painful urination. I continued with the antibiotic and triamcinolone cream.

About two weeks ago the rash came back after having unprotected sex with my g/f. I still had a big bottle of cream left so ive been using it. The rash this time didnt appear as red as it did when I first got it. I dont know what to do there are no blisters just a minor itchy irratation.
so i called pharmacist and asked if nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream was ok to use and the pharmacist said yes.. so i used it for about three weeks and it still the same. what should i do?

My doctor diagnosed it as a yeast infection similar to jock itch. i was given nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide cream to use. It keeps the rash from getting worse but it has not gone away. my underwear causes irritation. No weeping at the site either and no odor. I do not think it is yeast but do not know what it is. Whay do you think?
It's been a month and a half or so that I have been dealing with extremely annoying vaginal symptoms. These include white "sticky" discharge, and intense itching. I thought it was a yeast infection (especially since I had just been on antibiotics) and tried everything to make it go away...applying yogurt to the area, garlic, taking garlic supplements... I used two 3-day suppository treatments. Nothing worked. So I went to the doctor, who prescribed 2 doses of oral fluconazole.
Saw my urologist and he agreed it looked like could have been a balinitis from yeast. He prescribed nystatin/triamcinolone and no help and maybe a little worse after 4 days so stopped that. Needless to say now it is 3 1/2 months and I have been through Nystatin, econazole, triamcinolone, cutivate, biafine, Valtrex (7 days in middle December for Shingles) and Elidel and none seem to make it resolve.
By all means do not scratch the area this makes it worse and drives infection down more layers of skin Shower and clean the area. Then try putting a half yeast infection cream and half hydrocortisone cream on the affected area and around it. Apply for about a week 2 times a day morning and night. Its the best fit for those sensitive areas.Lol Yeast infection cream kills the fungus and the hydrocortisone relieves the itch and promotes skin grow.
Well i went to the Doctors because i needed to know what it was! He checked it out and said it was a minor Yeast Infection from the bra. Where the underwire is, it could've held some water there making it moist and causing the problem. He told me to make sure everytime i put a bra on to make sure that its dry. He gave me Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. Its going away!!!
I saw my Urologist and he felt that the pattern could fit a yeast infection where it was and switched me to a Nystatin/triamcinolone ointment. After 3 days it seemed a little more red and my derm put me on straight Nystatin with no success. Since then I have been on Biafine, Clobex, and Elidel with little help. A second Dermatologist told me it was mild when I was on the Biafine and told me to try stopping. When I was off all meds, it did seem to get better, but has not fully gone away.
Sorry to hear that. Monistat is probably the only med they recommend for yeast infection during pregnancy. Can't your doc prescribe something?? How long can you go on like this? Good luck to you. I hope it goes away!
looked at it very carefully and stated that it was a yeast infection. Prescribed Difucan and Nystatin w/triamcinolone and said to keep it dry w/ baby powder cornstarch. After 3 days the redness and burning on my scrotum was gone and the rash that had spread to my shaft had started to fade. After 10 days the scrotum is fine, but the rash that was on my shaft is now peeling as if the yeast has dead(die-off?) and now my body is trying to shed it.

To answer your question: Yes, I've had diarrhea for the past 3 days now. I'm not sure if I can attribute this to anxiety. I won't be able to eat all day because I'm so anxious and filled with fear that something's wrong with me. If I do eat, it'll be late at night when I'll have mustered up enough courage to convince myself I'm not sick for five minutes. Haven't had more gas than usual.
I am 31 weeks pregnant and I have a terrible yeast infection in between my breasts..my doctor has told me to use hydrocortisone cream to get rid of it and it works for about 2 days then comes back..then she prescribed me this powder too use and that isn't helping at all either..now I've just been putting on baby powder..has anyone else ever gotten a yeast infection there? If so what did you use too get rid of it?
Also, the minor relief I received to the Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetone cream was due to constant re-infection from the partner who I gave it to. Now I'm really about making sure she and I get better together. This is like a super fungal infection that is still very low on the radar where a diagnosis is concerned. Especially if doctors aren't even looking for it. I will try Diflucan next and see what happens.
Went back in and she said it looked like a yeast infection. She prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone. It cleared it right up. However it came back about a week and a half later. Then I was given fluconazole. Doc had me on that for 1 week. If anything it seemed like it made it worse. VERY ITCHY! Now doc is having me go see a dermatologist in 3 weeks to see exactly what it is. I'm 25 years old, married with 2 kids, healthy and have NEVER had any problems with yeast.
It sounds like you could have a low grade yeast infection or even an allergy. If you have a yeast infection, you may want to consider looking into a candida diet (link below). This diet has been helpful in people who have chronic health conditions anyway, so I highly recommend it:

One week since the rash began, I saw a doctor and he said it was a fungal infection and prescribed Nystatin cream and did a blood test for Herpes. After one week I returned and the cream had almost made the rash disappear. My blood test was negative for Herpes.
One week later, the rash returned, although not as severe. I saw another doctor at the same practice.
I then went to my doctor for help and he advised at first it was yeast. So he prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide. At first it burned like hell so doctor suggested Lotrimin. So I tried lotrimin for a month, and it got worse. I tried Monistat, it didn't help but only temporary relief. I then tried lamisil, which seemed promising but eventually the irritation got worse and burned more. So I went back to the Nystatin and am currently on my 3rd week of use.
