i went to the doctors office and she said it really didnt look like an std, she gave me nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. it hasnt let up yet. so i went to the health department and got all the std tests they havent come back yet. but the doctor that looks at all the stds there said she didnt think it was an std either. im just wondering what this could be and how to get rid of it.

However, steroids should not be used in the groin alone without consulting your doctor since steroids alone can make the rash of jock itch much worse. If the rash is very red and itchy, especially if it has blisters at the edge, a topical steroid such as hydrocortisone can also be applied aside from the clotrimazole cream. If this persists, it would be best to see your doctor for proper management. Take care and keep us posted.

@KDaily: Thank you for the HSV address; however, the doctor was surprised to hear that the anti-fungal cream did not do the job, as that was the proper course of action... clearly, I had a fairly decent idea of what should have been done. @Vance2335: yes, the doctor claimed it to be fungal.

My urologist told me to stop at 10 days, the same time I stopped the Cipro in October. Its called Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. I have put it on the site since then, and against doctors orders, and it seems to work soon after application.

My doctor diagnosed it as a yeast infection similar to jock itch. i was given nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide cream to use. It keeps the rash from getting worse but it has not gone away. my underwear causes irritation. No weeping at the site either and no odor. I do not think it is yeast but do not know what it is. Hi im new 2 this..im 23 yrs old..For the past month I had these lil pimples on my testicles hair seems 2 b growing out of them but when I try 2 pop one it hurt a lot like if I was poking with a needle..I whent 2 a doctor n she said it wasent serious that I shouldn't worry n gave me a cream called "Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide cream"..but it dint seem 2 work at all..I resently got more worried because I got these lil cracks or lines on the tip of my penis head..

They make it worse for me. I also thought it was jock itch. jock itch spray actually worked the best. One time it was itching bad and I sprayed lotrimin on it it made the itching go away and the redness went away. But the doctor says it's eczema. Check out past comments on this.

I still have a touch of balanitis and it has spread to slight jock itch. The Stone was removed at the beginning of September 2016, so I have had the balanitis for two months. I used up two tubes of nystatin that my Dr. prescribed. I am 47 and I am circumcised. I have never had any of this stuff before. Thanks for any responses.

ok ive been using the the nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream for almost 2 weeks and no real sign of clearing up. most of my std tests have come back and were negative. occasionally it looks as if its cleared alot but not for long. i started washing with antibacterial soap also thought maybe that would help. it really has no symtems at all except for the redness, it doesnt hurt, burn, or itch except for the occasional itch but nothing prolonged.

I used some gloves (Nitrile Exam Gloves) and i had a bad irritation because of that. I stoped used the gloves anymore and I went to the doctor. He gaved me NYSTATIN and TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE OINTMENT USP. It worked for a couple of days but then the ointment was gone , and i had no more refill. After only one day, the irritation started again. I went to the doctor again and he gaved me TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE CREAM USP, 0.1%.

I’ve tried antibiotic creams, campho phenique, and most recently jock itch cream. The jock itch cream helps with the itching and subsided the rash a little, but I’m not seeing great improvement. I have noticed my groin area sometimes itches so that’s what made me think to try jock itch cream. Any help is appreciated. I hope this can be resolved without a trip to the doctor. It’s just something I can’t afford. Thanks for your help.

After 2 months, i went to the gyno again and she said she saw yeas tand no sign of std, she gave me nystatin pills and triamcinolone cream to insert into the vagina, but im still in pain. What is wrong with me?!

also for the jock itch and pubic itch. if you all like the sand and warm areas. it might be scabies. nothing to be ashamed of. it is not becuase you are dirty pa and warm beaches is where these critters live. it is more common than you might think. once they are gone you will have itchy itch that you cannot scratch which is a allergic reaction. and the itch will continue for a few months. it is an itch scratch itch cycle.

It's a small, hard to the touch itchy bump under my foot and when I put anti-itch cream on it, it moves around to a new spot. It looks like when you're starting to get a pimple on your cheek. But it's under my foot. The itching comes and goes but it's worst than a mosquito bite. I put some Lotrimin on it but it didn't do anything. When I put anti-itch cream it moves .5 to 1 inch in just hours and it leaves a small red trail behind it. Often it just goes in circles.

Also, last night I did see some pink areas in my groin and around my anus which where I normally get jock-itch. I used nystatin around the entire area and I am feeling better this morning; no more itching. I think it was just bad timing and maybe linked to the antibiotic use. I am going to try to forget about herpes as a cause for any of my symptoms and move of with life.

m using or any over the counter creams for jock itch would treat a fungal infection.

Nystatin with Tryancinolome and after Econazole Nitrate Cream, which I was instructed to apply twice daily. I also apply some baby powder throughout the day I begin to perspire quite a bit. I'm very active for work and after about 20 minutes of walking or activity the itching and burning becomes extremely strong. I was also prescribed 1 other cream that i cannot locate, i'll repost if I find that one.

I immediately went to the store and got lotrimin AF and applied to the irritated areas on my scrotum and the tip of my penis, the irritation went away instantly. I am going to keep applying and and keep an eye on things for a few days. Thanks for the help!

I have been treated with Nystatin, Ketoconazole, Clotrimazole, Clotimazole and Betamethasone Dipropionate, fluconazole and itraconazole, one at a time over many months. The red inflamed area has still not gone but is not painful anymore.. I have seen an internest, a dermatologist and an infectious disease specialist. Any suggestions?
