Avatar n tn So I looked it up on the net and it didnt say anything about being used for a yeast infection. What should I do?
Avatar f tn negative) so I remember when my daughter had these bad diaper rashes her doctor perscribed her nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream usp. And her diaper ras would vanish in a matter of HOURS.I mean like by the next diaper change. The doctor said it was originally an anti fungal for yeast infections. I can't see a doctor till Monday and its Saturday morning. The itching is so uncomfortable but its my only symptom. Do you think the nystatin cream will help my itching?
Avatar m tn Sorry for reposting. I thought STD's and herpes were two different forums. And I didn't see an option just for yeast infection. Nevertheless, thank you for your response. Is yeast capable of growing underneath the foreskin, instead of just on the head of the penis? Is anal itching a symptom of yeast infection? So if another spot does not develop, or if the existing spot doesn't get worse, I shouldn't seek medical treatment?
Avatar n tn I went to my gyno with severe irritation on my genitals, and burning urination. Initial diagnosis was a yeast infection as well as a bladder infection. She prescribed me diflucan, an antibiotic, and nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream. I wasn't able to immediately pick up the medications, and didn't begin treatment for another 10 hours or so. The next day I was still in moderate pain with extremely painful urination. I continued with the antibiotic and triamcinolone cream.
Avatar m tn He prescribed nystatin triamcinolone acetonide and I used it twice a day as instructed. I noticed a small difference of it getting better, but it is not gone. Every once in a while I feel a sharp pain there. What should I do? I am willing to do anything to get rid of this. Should I keep putting the nystatin triamcinolone acetonide on? I would appreciate your input.
Avatar n tn so i called pharmacist and asked if nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream was ok to use and the pharmacist said yes.. so i used it for about three weeks and it still the same. what should i do? thank you. cloud2007 This discussion is related to Belly Button Fungus?.
Avatar m tn I went to the hospital to get checked out and they told me it was a yeast infection. The doctor perscribed me Nystatin Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP. A few days later the rash went away. About two weeks ago the rash came back after having unprotected sex with my g/f. I still had a big bottle of cream left so ive been using it. The rash this time didnt appear as red as it did when I first got it. I dont know what to do there are no blisters just a minor itchy irratation.
Avatar n tn Saw my urologist and he agreed it looked like could have been a balinitis from yeast. He prescribed nystatin/triamcinolone and no help and maybe a little worse after 4 days so stopped that. Needless to say now it is 3 1/2 months and I have been through Nystatin, econazole, triamcinolone, cutivate, biafine, Valtrex (7 days in middle December for Shingles) and Elidel and none seem to make it resolve.
Avatar m tn The next day it was better though there was vulvar irritation. We took her to pediatrician and they said yeast infection, though the Nystatin did not clear it up. Very worried, clearly. Can you tell me if you think a symmetrical rash is an HSV symptom? I can't imagine what else it would be. Could zinc possibly have stopped the blistering that much? Thank you for your great help.
Avatar m tn He prescribed to me Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream. I used it and it seemed to control the itching but never made it go away. I eventually went to a dermatologist and he presribed to me Cordran Lotion and 200 MG of Fluconazole tablets. They both seem to control the problem but again, does not make it go away. Any ideas?
1694219 tn?1306328703 After 2 months, i went to the gyno again and she said she saw yeas tand no sign of std, she gave me nystatin pills and triamcinolone cream to insert into the vagina, but im still in pain. What is wrong with me?!
464013 tn?1206731717 That helps to balance things and actually helps yeast infections. And, see a rheumatologist!!! You may need an immunosuppressant!
Avatar n tn Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this! I am 22 years old and have been dealing with on an off yeast infections for over a year. It all started out last March I got my first yeast infection and UTI at the same time from a Marathon, mind you I was a virgin at the time so it was not from sex. Following that I continued to get them on and off, after meeting my boyfriend and now being sexually active I get yeast infection every week.
Avatar m tn Genital yeast (fungal) infections are sometimes shared by sex partners, and are the most common cause of genital itching or burning in women, including pain during sex. Based on all the available information, I'm quite certain you don't have herpes. But if you want even more certainty, an HSV blood test at 3+ months would provide it. Up to you. If you do it, don't lose sleep in the meantime. You can expect it to remain negative.
Avatar f tn He sent me away with Nystatin and Triamcinolone cream, which is how I survive the irritation. Every few days I need to use the cream which provides relief, but the irritation always comes back! I am not using anything different as far as detergent or soap so I don't know what to do. Please help!
Avatar f tn I've had diabetes for almost 40 years, I'm IN my 40's, a female married to same man (thus one sexual partner) for over 25yrs. My GP recently dx'd me w/double ear infection & put me on Omnicef (I am an SJS survivor so antibiotics are a dangerous area for me as I developed SJS after taking Bactrim.. for an ear infection, no less!
Avatar n tn I have had a purple rash for 2 years in the groin area. My doctor diagnosed it as a yeast infection similar to jock itch. i was given nystatin/triamcinolone acetonide cream to use. It keeps the rash from getting worse but it has not gone away. my underwear causes irritation. No weeping at the site either and no odor. I do not think it is yeast but do not know what it is. Whay do you think?
Avatar f tn so for about 2 weeks i have had this itching and burning feeling in my vagina. i have had some thick white discharge, so i assume it is a yeast infections. Im currently taking monistat 3, but even with the cream the itching does not stop. It has gotten to the point where my labia is swollen because it itch so bad i end up rubbing down there. Is there anything to stop the itching.
Avatar n tn looked at it very carefully and stated that it was a yeast infection. Prescribed Difucan and Nystatin w/triamcinolone and said to keep it dry w/ baby powder cornstarch. After 3 days the redness and burning on my scrotum was gone and the rash that had spread to my shaft had started to fade. After 10 days the scrotum is fine, but the rash that was on my shaft is now peeling as if the yeast has dead(die-off?) and now my body is trying to shed it.
Avatar n tn Went back in and she said it looked like a yeast infection. She prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone. It cleared it right up. However it came back about a week and a half later. Then I was given fluconazole. Doc had me on that for 1 week. If anything it seemed like it made it worse. VERY ITCHY! Now doc is having me go see a dermatologist in 3 weeks to see exactly what it is. I'm 25 years old, married with 2 kids, healthy and have NEVER had any problems with yeast.
Avatar m tn I used some gloves (Nitrile Exam Gloves) and i had a bad irritation because of that. I stoped used the gloves anymore and I went to the doctor. He gaved me NYSTATIN and TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE OINTMENT USP. It worked for a couple of days but then the ointment was gone , and i had no more refill. After only one day, the irritation started again. I went to the doctor again and he gaved me TRIAMCINOLONE ACETONIDE CREAM USP, 0.1%.
Avatar m tn I then went to my doctor for help and he advised at first it was yeast. So he prescribed Nystatin and Triamcinolone Acetonide. At first it burned like hell so doctor suggested Lotrimin. So I tried lotrimin for a month, and it got worse. I tried Monistat, it didn't help but only temporary relief. I then tried lamisil, which seemed promising but eventually the irritation got worse and burned more. So I went back to the Nystatin and am currently on my 3rd week of use.
1070570 tn?1283436213 I believe there may be a connection with yeast overgrowth and FM. I plan to test out the nystatin and diflucan and see if I feel better after killing the yeast. I am nervous about the die off effects. The whole yeast diet it basically avoiding all sugars, candies, and white bread/flours, and caffeine, and lots of other things should be avoided. I guess it just depends on what you can do. I can tell I'm going to have a hard time with the diet!
Avatar n tn YES, yeast infections can indeed cause you to have little tears in the skin and labia area. The tears may start to itch before they 'develop' and then you have what looks to be a little fleshy cut. There is such a thing as chronic yeast infection on the external areas- ie: the labia/vulva area. I'm just learning about it myself.
Avatar m tn Thanks for all the ideas, thoughts and comments, Different points of view and experiences help with direction. Started caprylic ccid (500 mg) a day, along with one week's worth of Diflucan. I read Diflucan simply keeps the fungus from replicating but does not kill. Using the caprylic acid instead of the Nystatin, I get very tired after taking the caprylic acid, so I take it at night. Wondering if the reason the Bicillin shots seemed to stop working may be related to the yeast.
Avatar f tn Is there a cure for an oral yeast infection? and can u pass it to a male during oral sex and french kissing?
Avatar n tn Okay, the tests came back negative (I do not have) herpes 1 (HSV-1) or herpes 2. The doctor originally by my description (frequency/reoccurence/sore red tears- that itch and burn when urine hits them) thought like I did, that it was HSV... But since the blood tests and culture came back negative now the doc is thinking it's a chronic yeast infection on the outer vaginal area. He prescribed a cream (stronger than over the counter) "Nystatin & Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP".
