Nuvaring side effects on men

Common Questions and Answers about Nuvaring side effects on men

nuvaring

Avatar n tn I just looked up Nuvaring and it looks like chest pain and numbness on one side of the body are side effects. http://www.medhelp.org/drugs/NuvaRing/show/3399 I don't know if you would typically experience these symptoms so quickly though.
1927233 tn?1326670387 ve tried in the past, so far I have no noticeable side effects, except I inserted the nuvaring on the first day of my period, over 2 weeks ago, and my period hasn't ended yet! Its very slowly transitioning from medium to light to very-light flow, with less normal discharge than I'm used to in the last day or two of my period. I also have constant cramps. Not enough to stop me from living but a constant pelvic ache.
Avatar f tn In women with inherited defects of lipid metabolism, there have been reports of significant elevations of plasma triglycerides during estrogen therapy. This has led to pancreatitis in some cases. I stopped using the Nuvaring immediately. Never during that whole time I was in the hospital or months afterwards did any doctor link the pancreatitis to the NuvaRing. I remember having bleeding in the hospital a week early even though the ring was still in.
11297526 tn?1417034765 Have any of you gotten pregnant the first month on Nuvaring? Or has it ever made you THINK you're pregnant because of its side effects? I've had the following: Mild cramps for the past 5 days Headaches Fatigue According to the app I'm 3weeks. (If I am pregnant) I would like to hear your experiences is all. I'll be testing with an hpt soon.
304970 tn?1331425994 Laura~ It's normal. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months AFTER Getting off the depo. I had been on Depo 3 yrs and gained 50 lbs! I gain weight on ANY kind of hormonal BC no matter what level of hormones are in it. I put on 15 lbs with Nuvaring. You will have some breakthru bleeding or even bleeding on wierd days for about 3 months until your body gets used to nuvaring. Don't worry about it.
Avatar f tn Well I have just started my second month with Nuvaring. Surprisingly enough, I had no side effects at all when I am on it for 3 weeks unlike the pills that made me suicidal on the third day.But on the day I took off the ring, my mood changed suddenly within hours and for the rest of the week I cried more or less 3 hours a day, even could not communicate with a single human being, decided a place for my suicide (I was really serious).
Avatar f tn I was on the pill for years and came off of it to get an IUD which I got taken out after 8 months and started the Nuvaring. Coming off of the pill I LOST weight and felt better than ever... almost complete opposite...
Avatar f tn I've been looking into an IUD, never had the patch personally (was afraid it'd fall off or something) but I know I wouldn't recommend the implanon/nexplanon implant or Nuvaring, the implant causes crazy side effects and Nuvaring doesn't stay in for anything!
468832 tn?1324348961 I heard pretty good things about that, my ex gf was also on nuvaring and had little to none side effects.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your response! Yeah, I don't want to get pregnant at all. But lately I've been having pains in my chest and in one of my legs. I don't know if it's related to the NuvaRing but some of the side-effects are scary. Like blood clots and heart attacks. I just don't want to be a victim to those. But it seems like all birth controls have some sort of risk involved in them. That's why I was looking at paragard since it's a hormone-free method.
Avatar n tn That's about how long I was on it too. I took mine out around June of last year and conceived in September, so it doesn't take long. That's the bonus of nuvaring, it's supposed to have little to no side effects when you take it out. I ended up miscarrying that conception at about 6 weeks, and haven't had luck yet since then, but at least I know I am indeed ovulating since I got pregnant once!
Avatar f tn I put the new ring in on May 22 and I feel like I may be having some increased side effects since then. The first few weeks I was on it I had a lot of cramping that felt like menstrual cramps, but for the past couple of weeks I've had a lot of nausea. I work at a grocery store and one day I had to run to the back because I thought I was going to throw up; I didn't and I was fine the next day.
17435300 tn?1456682805 Hey ladies, I have been on the nuvaring for almost a month now and have noticed uncontrollable and almost debilitating mood swings. I have literally cringed, cried and felt like I was crawling out of my very own skin and for no REAL reason. It has greatly effected my relationships. The main site says that common side effects are mood swings, including depression. I do have a history of being emotionally unstable.
Avatar f tn I just started NuvaRing on the 5th day after my period ended (December 30th). I know that you must use a back-up method for a minimum of 7 days. My fiance and I had unprotected sex on December 31st and again on January 1st. I read that it would be too soon for me to be ovulating (January 5th through the 10th is what I researched through an ovluation calendar).I have had cramping in my left side, but I believe that it is absolutely too early to have any signs of pregnancy.
Avatar n tn i had an endometriosis to my left and right ovary, can u please help me what is the best medicine to cure my endometriosis,my ob gave me ladogal, but it had so many side effects to me.what should i do?i want to have a child,is it possible for us to have a baby?
Avatar f tn I was taking Ortho Tri Cyclen. that helped me.. then they switched me to the patch. I did not like that one at all. then they put me on the Nuvaring. I didn't like that one either because sometimes it would fall out or not fall out it would move and I could feel it and I have to go to the bathroom and fix it. so I would say Ortho Tri Cyclen. but everybody has their own opinions.
3053649 tn?1356365017 I had the implanon implant (now nexplanon) and it made me gain 30 pounds and then I found out I was very much allergic to it. If the Nuva ring gave you any nasty side effects, don't go for the nexplanon, it's the same thing, different method. I have the paragard (copper) iud now and have had it two weeks. So far I'm really liking it. I've had several friends with it and they've loved it.
486867 tn?1307139011 s taking one pill every other day. He was suppose to be on it for 3 months before they did another SA, but because of the side effect he's having a SA done next week to see if anything has changed before they keep him on it longer.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any problems with the nuvaring since yhall neen on it... Can someone give me some information abt it... Thanks....
Avatar f tn They are full of it! Those are the side effects of Tamoxifen along with several others! take a look at this: http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/factsheet/therapy/tamoxifen What are some of the more common side effects of tamoxifen? The known, serious side effects of tamoxifen are blood clots, strokes, uterine cancer, and cataracts (see Questions 5–8). Other side effects of tamoxifen are similar to the symptoms of menopause. The most common side effects are hot flashes and vaginal discharge.
