Hi Lisa, OK have just done a little reaserch, and yes Nuvaring could be the reason for your ongoing cramps or cramping, if you google Nuvaring bad cramping 2 years, you will find your not the only one, and if you go down somebody is doing a survey on Nuvaring, so you can add to it if you fill that way.

The only meds I'm on currently are the Vyvanse (50 mg) for ADHD, and Nuvaring. When my TMJ flares up, I manage it with over-the-counter ibuprofen (I'll usually take 4 200mg tablets) and a joint pain topical rub (I usually use the generic version of IcyHot). It doesn't get rid of all the pain, but it dulls it enough so that I can function.
I also frequently develop sinus headaches (about 3 or 4 times a week), which I'm pretty sure are related to the TMJ.
Was on the birth control nuvaring. Had vaginal fungal infectioon . Took one dose of Diflucan - ended in ER feeling very ill with temp. Given Cipro. Next day, acute swollen, difuse lympadenopathy, fever, joint swelling. Continued Cipro for five days. Extreme fatigue followed, tremor, muscle weakness, perheral neuropathies. Fatigu sever, brfeathing difficult: all PFT normal. Elevagted histamine in urine 3x normal amount. Starting antihistamines and H1 and H2 blockers.
I have started to experience a lot of pain during sex. I started on Nuvaring three months ago. After the first week I got my first UTI. I was told that it was not related to the Ring. Other than the UTI everything was fine and sex was a good as it had always been. 4 weeks later I had my first yeast infection also told that it was not related to the Ring. Following a week of treatment for the yeast infection I attempted to have sex and it was so painful that we had to stop.
ve started voltrex and Tylenol 3s for the pain. The outbreak started mid period. I am supposed to be inserting a new nuvaring in a few days. Sadly the outbreak will not be over. I'm concerned that inserting the ring will allow the virus access to the inside of my vagina. Currently the sores are all external. I will have to touch the sores to be able to effectively insert the nuvaring. Is it safe to do so mid-outbreak or should i wait a few weeks until it clears up.
Its not BV unless you are in pain during sex and have a odor. Nuvaring does the same thing with me , Once it is place for the first week you will get a smell and then it will go away . My GYN said its the hormones and bacteria mixing. Nothing to be worried about . Its just an annoyance. You can take Luke warm baths , eat more yogurt to prevent BV or a Yeast infection from starting. I never got BV or Yeast from the odor you smell during the first week on the nuvaring.
I recently had unprotected sex with my new girlfriend who is on the Nuvaring birth control (however isn't any longer due to this problem) and a couple days later I noticed an intense burning sensation on my penis head and shaft. I started taking Benadryl from the advice from a Pharmacist, suspecting it was an allergic reaction to the Nuvaring. The Benadryl helped slightly but I cannot function on it since it really knocks me out.
i started Nuvaring 3 weeks ago yesterday when i was supposed to ive had sex w/o protection quite a few times since. I was supposed to start my period yesterday Im NEVER late early if anything I took a pregnancy test last night and it came back negative. Is it possible that I am pregnant and that its just not showing up positive yet?
Ive been on the NuvaRing since my 6 week check up(about 20 months). Well this is the second time ive taken my ring out on time and i have a brown period with decent sized clots. Im having normal cramps and back pain but there is very little red blood. is this normal?
it just depends on the person it can give u yeast infections i use to get them alot but i use the nuvaring now n haven't got one i use non scented soaps i love the nuvaring so far
I was taking Ortho Tri Cyclen. that helped me.. then they switched me to the patch. I did not like that one at all. then they put me on the Nuvaring. I didn't like that one either because sometimes it would fall out or not fall out it would move and I could feel it and I have to go to the bathroom and fix it. so I would say Ortho Tri Cyclen. but everybody has their own opinions.
My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. It is so irregular that I could bleed any time of the month at any intensity for any period of time. This past one was so bad that I had to sleep with a heating pad nightly. What could this mean?
I had unprotected sex today. I recently started on Nuvaring and was told I needed 7 days for it to become effective. Today is the 7th day. Should I take a Plan B just in case?
I was on the NuvaRing for 3 months straight and used it to skip my cycle. After the 3rd or 4th week I would take it out & put in a new ring. While doing this I still bled either light or really heavy. I stopped using the NuvaRing the week before Thanksgiving. My husband & I started trying to make a baby soon after taking the ring out. I have not had a cycle since i’ve taken the NuvaRing out and it’s going on a month now.
i miscarried at 8 weeks with blighted ovum and after that devestation i used nuvaring again and this time faithfully.......i took out my nuvaring and didnt think much of it until the next day when i started throwing up everywhere! i bought a test for the hell of it and it said PREGNANT! i was in complete shock because i had been on the nuvaring for a while! i used at end of JULY, AUGUST, SEPTEMBER and found out i was pregnant in october!!!
I went to the doctor and all she could come up with was a lack of lubrication, however, no amount of lubrication even lessens the pain. It is a very deep pain, not on the vaginal lips. I am on the NuvaRing and while it is supposed to be hypoallergenic, I am concerned that it is causing irritation. Has anyone else experienced similar problems? If so, what was it diagnosed as and what was the treatment? I really love my NuvaRing and am praying it is not the cause.
