YES! It can cause diabetes! It is listed as glucose intolerance in the side effects. I went though 8 months of #@!& on nuvaring. I went to the doc because I wad exhausted all of the time, fuzzy brained, and starting to loose my hair. When I asked if it could be the birth control, my question was dismissed. They tried to put me on all of this medication for slightly elevated blood sugar. I refused. I decided to go off the nuvaring, which I was on only for acne.

All of the extra hormones, including the hormones inside of the semen, make your vagina very sensitive to semen. When i was on the nuvaring...semen burned. Nuvaring=hormones. No nuvaring and not pregnant=fine. Now 36 weeks pregnant and semen burns.

I am also allergic to latex and tried the NuvaRing and had quite a severe latex allergic reaction to it. I ripped my Gyno a new one after that happened. I understand that it's technically latex-free, but it contains the same main ingredient as latex (which is what caused the reaction) and I feel that needs to be mentioned on the box at least.

I had sex fathers day and the 29th and the condom broke but i hav the nuva ring and i got my period but its lasts 3-4 days well i put nuvaring back in on july 5th then had unprotected sex (pull out) on the 7th of july i feel different always hungry n and expect period in a wk wen can i test or how do i kno for sure if test is negative could it be from nuvaring because with my 2yo i had missed period n tested negative

3 months ago I switched to Nuvaring from the pill. Hubby and I were going to wait until the spring to start ttc. My dr said I could leave my ring in for 4 weeks to avoid my period so technically I haven't had my period since October 9. I have exactly 1 week until I can either take it out for my period or leave it in to avoid it. I have been bloated and hungry all the time. I am now on day 3 of no nuvaring and I am cramping bleeding large blood clots and I cant find any info about what to expect after the removal and stopping the use of nuvaring

Hi there, I am a 29 year old female - and about 7 months ago I stopped using Nuvaring. I already had a bit of adult acne and some weight gain before I stopped, but after I stopped the acne went a little crazy - on the lower half of my face and my neck. It has also been a bit over 6 months since I've had a period, which is beginning to freak me out.

I started using the NuvaRing on April 15th and before I used the IUD. I took out the NuvaRing on May 6th but did not have my period. So I put it back in 7 days later. On the 7th day I noticed around my nipples were sore and still to this day they are still sore. So is there a chance I could be pregnant or could his be due to the NuvaRing?

I had unprotected sex today. I recently started on Nuvaring and was told I needed 7 days for it to become effective. Today is the 7th day. Should I take a Plan B just in case?

My periods have been very heavy with the past one lasting two weeks with large tissue discharge. It just ended Sunday after beginning one week before removing Nuvaring and only ending once Nuvaring was reinserted. It is so irregular that I could bleed any time of the month at any intensity for any period of time. This past one was so bad that I had to sleep with a heating pad nightly. What could this mean?

About 6 months ago out of nowhere, I went to take my nuvaring out and noticed some swelling inside my vagina. At first I thought it was a lump, so I made a doctors appointment right away. The cramps could be because of the Nuvaring. Remember that you're putting a foreign object in to your body so your body could react to that by cramping. Since it's so close to your period the cramps might be because you're getting ready to start. I recommend you see your gynecologist to tell him/her what happened. They might want to do a blood test to see if you're pregnant. Blood tests can detect very early pregnancies.

I was on the NuvaRing for 3 months straight and used it to skip my cycle. After the 3rd or 4th week I would take it out & put in a new ring. While doing this I still bled either light or really heavy. I stopped using the NuvaRing the week before Thanksgiving. My husband & I started trying to make a baby soon after taking the ring out. I then felt my cervix which felt like another fleshy bit was coming out of it, so with thumb and forefinger in me I grabbed the tissue and attached to it was a dark purple grape sized and shaped mass. Very light cramps, all neg preg tests. Are these just endometrial tissue,? the mass wasn't wet and slimy but solid feeling... Was it a blood clot? Could it have been blocking my cervix and causing my last period to be spotting for the 3 weeks?

Should I take my new nuvaring out and try to have a period or just keep it in and wait seven days to have intercourse?
