Avatar n tn I had hair loss during my first trimester really bad. It can be due to the extra hormones and things. Pre pregnancy I washed my hair daily but my hair dresser suggest I start skipping a day and switch shampoos. About two weeks later I notice the hair loss slowed way down and now it's stopped. Try that and if it doesn't work maybe ask your hair dresser, they usually have tips, also midwives & nutritionist are a great source.
Avatar n tn Even if I'm only 8 weeks pregnant I still want tips on how to take really good care of me and my future baby!
Avatar m tn Keep exercise!!! :) eat in moderation carbs, starches, fats (white bread, potatoes, avocado Ex.) DRINK LOTS OF WATER! this blog helped me! http://www.****.
Avatar n tn I promised to check back after seeing an endocrinologist. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I have a low A1c and my weight is low but with a family history and symptoms along with elevated blood sugar., the physician said I'm diabetic. The A1c confused me as every other doctor says I'm fine. I'm taking a glucose tolerance test soon for 3hrs. Anyway, thanks for the supportive answers. You are all so helpful. I'm meeting a nutritionist Tuesday.
Avatar f tn ask your Dr if you can see ask nutritionist they can give you good info on what foods to stay away and which to eat.

Avatar f tn Nothing screwed up my body more than working the night shift. If one is available to you, possibly at your school, consider talking to a nutritionist. They can help you even if you're on a budget. Stay away from pre-packaged diet meals or processed foods of any kind. They're full of garbage and a waste of what money you have. To lose the weight you have to commit 120% and do what you need to do because its not easy for us PCOS sufferers...
Avatar f tn The WIC nutritionist should have given you tips. Continue taking your prenatal vitamins (the gummies don't have iron). When you eat iron rich foods (meats, Nuts, beans) pair it with something high in Vitamin C (oranges, kiwi, strawberry, mango, Papya, cabbage broccoli, peppers....ect). It'll help increase the absorption of iron. You can also take your prenatal with orange juice. Don't drink too much milk because it can decrease the iron (they use the same pathways to be absorbed).
Avatar f tn Thanks for replying! My parents don't want me to go to a nutritionist/counsellor at the moment, they are trying to help me out with it. They don't know about my binging though. I've been trying to recover by myself and I'm trying to get the binging sorted out first. So id like any tips and if I find it's not working I will go to a nutritionist. Thanks!
Avatar m tn First of all start eating healthy and less, around 1700 calories daily (for more info contact a nutritionist) please don't consume less than 1500/day. You could try jogging but if that's too intense for your knee a-45-minutes walk 4-5 times a week is proven to promote weight loss. Also you can look for exercises like crunches, curls and leg raises that won't make your knee worse. You can also follow my blog on tumblr for more inspiration and tips :) feel free to ask anything.
Avatar n tn I haven't been on the site for a while so I hope you ladies are all doing well! Last week I found out that I have gestational diabetes :( I've been following the meal plans but my blood sugar is still high! Do any of you have any tips as to how to lower it?? I'll try anything at this point! I'm eating 1 net carb for snacks and 3 net carbs for each meal.
Avatar f tn For weight its best to sit down with a nutritionist to go over your foods and serving sizes - what you should eat and cannot eat. Ask your doctor for a referral. Major teaching hospitals found on or near major university campuses have trained nutritionist's on staff.
Avatar n tn Hi leyhdylan… I would need your help to lose weight, I am 30 with 5 ft 11 inch height and 230lbs of weight. I started my weight loss journey at 252lbs that too in earlier December 2012, but I lost only 22 lbs in 3 months. What’s wrong with me, and please let me know; how many days you took to cut down 29 lbs?

Avatar f tn t seem to conceive, wondering if my age or previous abortion may be stopping me from gettin pregnant, any helpful tips?????
Avatar m tn //www.webmd.com/cholesterol-management/features/11-tips-to-cut-your-cholesterol-fast#1. However, some can not. This is when medication becomes a viable option. Talk to your doctor, perhaps work with a nutritionist but do get your cholesterol AND sugar numbers under control for your best health.
Avatar n tn If you want to gain weight the healthy way I would advise you to pair up with a nutritionist (who should be a part of your diabetes care team anyway) and ask him/her for guidance. The nutritionist will go over your dietary habits and goals and help you construct a healthy diet and excercise plan. You can also check out the American Diabetes Association's website: www.diabetes.org for more information as well as books on nutrition.
Avatar f tn I am also on a diet plan and take supplemental weight loss pills recommended by a nutritionist. I have not shed a single pound. I am in school going into the medical field. I know all about muscle weighing more than fat. I have taken many health and nutrition classes and know the difference between good and bad. But this problem has clearly stumped me. I like to mix up my exercise routines from yoga to swimming. Anyone have any really awesome tips?
Avatar f tn I just found out I have GD but haven't seen the nutritionist/ counselor yet. I have a few questions for her and my doc, but I was curious if any of you ladies have GD now or have had it in a previous pregnancy? The biggest worries I have right now: 1. Will the baby be ok? 2. I have a scheduled c-section (for other medical reasons) on May 3rd (39+3). Am I going to last that long? I really really want my little man to stay in as long as possible (and healthy).
Avatar f tn But I wanted to know if there are any tips on what to eat or do to help lower this. Does it go away with proper diet? Is my baby going to have complications when born? This is my first pregnancy n I have no idea how this happened if I've been having mostly fresh fruit n chilli. Any ideas would be great. Thank you.
Avatar f tn d like its delicious, try rich food such as salmon, avacados, peaches, nuts, and various others. You can go to **********.com and see more tips! But as a nutritionist I recommend also a b12 supplement.
Avatar f tn My one hour glucose test was a little high, so my doctor is doing further testing to see if it is stress of disabilities. Which of course is stressing me more. Any tips or advice?
