Avatar f tn Fried rice, if you use local ingredients (egg, a little ground beef or pork, chopped carrots, chopped beans or frozen peas, any other veges you have that need using) can be filling and nutritious. Make the fried rice with brown rice if possible and it will be even more filling. Sometimes butchers will sell the bones (with some meat on them still) for a very low cost.
Avatar n tn I like the steel cut oatmeal, just put a cup in rice cooker and enough water and its done in 30 min. Rolled oats works too. Good thing you don't need to be at the stove, and can be with baby. Oh salmon and carrots seem to help my milk too.

Avatar f tn I put a tsp on veg oil and a couple shakes salt in water..and the amount of water 2 rice is 2cups water to 1cup rice.. then I let water boil when it boils put rice in then watch it and bring it back 2 a boil when it does turn flame 2 low and put a lid on it..check it in 15min..and c where it is..then check every once and a while till done..leave the.lid on as much as possible..that usually works for me :)..

Another thing you can do if you can get one is get a slow cooker and have it cook your breakfast while you're sleeping -- it'll be ready when you get up. You can cook some beans and rice -- most of the world eats beans and grain of some kind for all three meals -- or cook some real whole grain.
