481379 tn?1208372347 why haven't I received an answer? I want a doctor's opinion of an acidic vs alkaline body. I have been reading about this and there are many people pro alkaline and few pro acidic. I'd like a doctor's or nutritionist's opinion of this.
Avatar m tn Cut out dairy and wheat; they tend to be pro-inflammatory, which allows more bad guys to stick in your system. A good multivitamin to guarantee you're getting at least some of what you need every day. For a more thorough approach, see a naturopath or holistic nutritionist. Good luck.
9197104 tn?1402287751 then you took antibiotics for an infection....antibiotics can cause more of a reflux issue....ask ur Drs about taking pro biotics...to replace the good bacteria and give ur digestive track the natural balance it needs to digest food properly. I hope u feel better soon.

Avatar n tn Try avoiding nightshades -- it helps a certain percentage of people with RA. And there are many anti-inflammatory substances out there, such as boswellia and devil's claw which have been shown to be particularly helpful for RA. This is a complicated question, however. One of the best things to do is avoid that which is pro-inflammatory, such as white flours, wheat, sugar, and bad fats.
Avatar n tn I also have these symptoms. Usually for months at a time and then it goes away. I've taken pro & pre biotics, psyllium husks, candida tablets, anything I can think of and nothing seems to help. I have an idea its something in my diet, though I went to a nutritionist and she said it wasn't. I'm completely flummoxed and in agony with the pain and itching. Please help...
220282 tn?1214318819 500 ml of milk a day doesn't sounds so little to me, but I'm not expert to evaluate this. From what you've written, it seems, like he's receiving a normal food, so this is not dangerous for liver. This is highly specialistic question what you've asked. If you think, you can't get answers from your current specialist, you might want to contact an educated nutritionist - I'm talking about orthodox one. But you should try with your current doctor first.
Avatar m tn What you want with your problems is an anti-inflammatory diet, meaning avoiding pro-inflammatory foods. Dairy is the worst, but different individuals have different ones. There are also supplements you can take that can at least make the allergies bother you a little less. Allergies are basically an autoimmune disorder, because your body is having an immune reaction to things that aren't actually harmful to it.

Avatar n tn are there any plastic surgeons that do pro-bono work. I am 48 had gastric bypass in 2004 told to keep the weight for 3 to 4 years and then have the reconstructive proceedures done. I was on active duty navy when the bypass was done and assured that tricare would pay, now I am being told that any proceedure has to be medically necessary for them to cover. I don't have the money to do this my self and looking for help and guidance.
Avatar f tn Please see a nutritionist (you may need a referral from your doctor) to find out how to safely lose weight and what a safe weight goal for you would be. Thanks for reaching out for help here and I hope will not go down the destructive path of an eating disorder that can kill. If you feel you have underlying emotional issues leading you in this direction, now's the time to take the next step and get counselling professionally- if you are a Christian, from a Biblical counselor.
Avatar f tn m on a low dose of glyburide at bedtime and just making sure I eat the right amount of carbs at the right times. Are you going to see a nutritionist or a maternal fetal medicine specialist? Seeing the nutritionist helped me a lot.
Avatar f tn I went to a nutritionist regarding my tiredness and weight loss. The nutritionist committed me to one month of perfect eating, sleeping, routine walks and no alcohol. After the month I was symptom free. No headaches, great energy, and the muscle aches have subsided. I've been maintaining the proper diet, sleep, walking and moderation on alcohol. The nutritionist suspected that I was using alcohol and pain releif in excess.
Avatar m tn t know how good your insurance is, or if you can afford it, but let me tell you -- it would be a GOOD idea if your doctor referred you to a medically qualified nutritionist. And, it will be fun! Well -- for ME that would be fun -- I LOVE to talk about food! And, if it doesn't cost you too much, I say GO FOR IT -- talk to a pro about some good nutrition tips! I assure you, by the end of the visit, you'll be on a better path to eating even better and more healthily!

Avatar f tn Diet plays a large role in the development and continuation of arthritic symptoms. The standard American diet, full of refined foods, is a pro-inflammatory regimen. Inflammation is what causes the redness, warmth, swelling, and joint destruction associated with arthritis. Eating pro-inflammatory foods will not only create the environment for arthritis to begin, it will fuel the illness once developed. What are these pro-inflammatory foods? Refined sugar, salt, oil, and flour.
144210 tn?1273088782 Do I have to say that you may be too supplement focused :) The liver has no pain sensors, so any URQ pain is most probably referred pain from the surrounding membranes -- assuming it's something in your digestive tract or referred from some place even farther away (like the neck) through nerve endings. These membranes can swell and shrink (both can cause pain) either due to inflammation or healing, so the pain may not necessarily be bad.
5664897 tn?1375480696 Professional help thru an inpatient or intense outpatient program. A nutritionist and therapist are a must. This is rarely cured on your own.
1796826 tn?1578874779 Hi Friends! I'm borrowing the mic from our regular MC tonight to bring you this weeks: PRO BOWL POOL! Now the Pro Bowl can be pretty boring, so I thought I'd add a few categories other than W/L for everyone to pick. No math involved, it's straight up right or wrong, and whoever gets most picks right wins. Below is some info on the players who will be playing (you can Google it too): AFC QBs: Peyton Manning, Brady, Schaub. NFC QBs: Brees, Eli Manning, Russell Wilson.
