And if you get a pressure cooker you can speed up cooking time for beans and grains and everything else, and if you get a slow cooker you can cook while you sleep. As said above, fish prepared well takes very little time to cook.

I'd hate to buy an instant pot just to make one recipe though, but I am still doing research on them and considering the possibility of getting one because we do make things like pot roast, scalloped potatoes and ham, etc that we both eat sometimes and I'm sure I could do those in an instant pot and it wouldn't take nearly as long.

It was just from pressure-cooker stress at work I guess. I don't mean to downplay the blood pressure but it sounds like you are fine. Regarding the heart rate, I would suggest you see your doctor. I don't think there is anything to worry about but you should get an idea of why your heart rate is always that high.

Then pop it in the fridge to thaw before you head off to work and when you get home, all ya gotta do it warm it up. I have begun that regiment once a day so far, increased my magnesium, and 2 tbs black strap molasses as well. I have completely stopped taking my propranolol. I do chop up a little onion in my pinto beans.They also take longer to cook... about 12 hours.If you cook them in a crock pot or slow cooker that long, they have no gas.
