I am not a physican or nutritionist, but the mom of a type one diabetic. We do not use sugar free snacks as a lot of them contain an ingredient called manitol or sorbitol. This ingredient is in most sugar free items and can cause the runs along with bowel problems. What we give our daughter is healthy no or low carbohydrate snacks.

There are so many different studies and opinions on this issue, I don't think it will ever be resolved... We all know that study data can be skewed any way one wants to skew it, in order to come up with the preferred results. Have you had any recent blood work done - specifically checking for anemia? Endometriosis can cause very heavy and irregular cycles that could lead you to be anemic. I'm not sure endo actually causes brain fog... I guess getting tested for anemia would be my first step. If you've had an u/s that showed chocolate cysts, there is a good chance you have endo. When was your last u/s? What are your cycles like?

Thanks I heard that I just wondered how it affected pregnancy. My doctors office basically called me and told me I was diabetic this time I was hypoglycemic and that they would keep a close eye on me but didn't say anything else so I just wondered.
