7489014 tn?1429908568 Spicy is good but Cheetos are kind of like processed junk food. :>) I would try to limit that and go for more healthy options or something with more nutritional value for you and baby. Doesn't mean you can't have some spicy hot Cheetos from time to time though.
Avatar f tn ) I know that sugary foods can be bad for baby.and cause baby to get too big. I know this as I had gestational diabetes and had to go on a very strict diet from 22weeks. You're human and bound to eat crap.sometimes but try get some healthy food in too.
Avatar m tn I love sugery high fat foods. I did try very hard to eat things with some nutritional value.
Avatar m tn Supplements to help you gain weight can be more expensive than the equivalent macronutrients found in whole foods. Relying on nutritional supplements and not whole foods could deny you vital nutrients the supplements lack. Weight-gain supplements might contain impurities that could harm your health. With a high metabolism, nutrition by itself can add pounds to your body but might not result in the body composition you would like unless you do a strength-training program also.

Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.

Avatar n tn My daughter is just 18months and I am having a terrible time with getting her to eat anything with a nutritional value...Chips Doritos that she see adults eating ..She is there...once ina great while she will eat noodles or picky foods...but only wants the bottle...She goes through tantrums and crying so bad that I give in and just give her the bottle...She probably drinks about 5-6 8oz bottles a day....
1341943 tn?1276144290 m not sure if this is entirely true or not, but I believe foods certified organic does have more minerals nutrients than foods conventionally grown. In the book "In Defense of Food", Michael Pollan argues that you should eat foods grown organically for this very reason.
3203287 tn?1346456634 Hi that is a pretty decent link. It has all the cheeses on it an you can just arrow down. The problem with a lot off "Apps" is that you have to enter the food and the nutritional value appears. That is no real help when you are on week 9 or so and you are the only person in the grocery store's yogurt section screaming, "Where's the fat!
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar f tn Hello there, It's best not to buy any junk food at all. You have to stop cold turkey when it comes to binge eating. Buy healthy foods, lots of fruit and vegetables. Don't eat in front of the TV. I think that's referred to as mindless eating, junk food , example, potato chips etc. Try and drink lots of water. It's good for you, helps to flush out your system and it fills you up. My biggest problem was potato chips. I really enjoy the saltiness and the crunch.

4207298 tn?1409945913 What you usually try to do is eat the recommended amount of beta carotene, which the body safely converts to Vitamin A, eliminating any potential problems. As for a potato chip, there is no nutritional value in eating them. They are empty calories, as any nutrition in them is so minimal and the fat and salt content of most of them so high this is just fun food but is always bad for you.
649848 tn?1534633700 Med Help has just launched a new Nutrition Application, which will help make it easier to find the nutritional value/calories of the foods you are eating - this should make it easier to keep up with the food tracker; it looks like you can link right to your food diary and exercise/weight trackers. There's an area where you can "ask an expert", as well as a lot of other valuable information.
Avatar f tn If you like rice you might want to try quineoa. It has vitamins where as white rice has almost no nutritional value. It's very filling and you can most anything to it. I like it with parsley, mushrooms, spinach, a little garlic and olive oil.
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
Avatar n tn You might want to limit the processed food, there's no nutritional value in things like cheetos so you're getting calories and filling up but not offering the baby much in the way of nutrients. But in terms of spicy foods, that stuff won't hurt the baby.
Avatar n tn You need to get calories from nutritious foods! Add small meals or large snacks in-between breakfast, lunch and dinner. Eat appetizers and desserts, too, when you can. Don't fill up on liquids, especially those with few or no calories. Drink after you've eaten. Drink 100 percent fruit juice, which offers calories and nutritional value, rather than sugary sodas or sports drinks. Replace a serving or two of whole fruit with fruit juice, as it contains many more calories.
Avatar f tn Yep, crazy high sodium is the price you pay for packaged pre-portioned convenient meals. They knock out a lot of the fat and calories so they have to make up for it in flavor by added preservatives, tons of salt and sometimes sugar. I keep lean cuisines in my freezer sometimes just so I have an option if I don't have time to make myself a meal. One of those every so often isnt bad, but it's probably not the best idea to eat them regularly.
Avatar f tn but I was asking about the value for AB after the vaccination that they took after birth..is this value good or considered very low?
Avatar f tn You can always continue taking supplements but definitely change up your diet aswell, rice has very little nutritional value, you need to be adding different grains and vegetables to be getting enough vitamins and minerals and a good source of protein.
