Avatar f tn I was wondering at what to put the nutritional value of food over the amount of calories they contain. For example, I regulate my calories fairly closely and usually am always well under the daily recommended amount, but there are some days that I feel like I am hungry all day. As a general rule, I enjoy eating raw mixed nuts as a snack, but they tend to be high in calories.
Avatar n tn Juice covers a lot -- virtually anything can be juiced if you're doing this yourself. Fruit juices contain a lot of sugar, but can also be powerful antioxidants, but vegetable juices can be very valuable. Wheatgrass juice is great. So this depends on what you mean by nutritional juices. Most important, avoid anything that's not organic. When you juice anything, you use a lot of it, and that enhances the amount of harmful chemicals that exist on whatever you're juicing.
Avatar f tn My Ob suggested I start drinking nutritional shakes because im not gaining enough weight anyone know of a good safe one?
Avatar f tn If you do salads, use spinach or romaine lettuce...ice burg lettuce really has no nutritional value to it. All veggies are good...just ear what you like. Don't force yourself to eat a veggy that is going to make you gag. For breakfast a scrambled egg or 2 with some fruit or whole grain toast is goid. Avoid a lot of breakfast meats (bacon sausage etc) as they have a lot of nitrates in them.
8793709 tn?1409594060 I do the same as you, except that when hubby gets home I turn the stove back on to reheat it instead of microwave. I believe that even if it loses a little bit of the nutritional value, it's still healthier and cheaper than ordering or eating out.
325405 tn?1262290178 I think if you freeze it, you would take away from the nutritional value. You could get the same nutritional value from eating bean sprouts on a salad. Would be easier for you.
1417802 tn?1282173063 Sorry to hear about your treatment not being effective.are you going to be treating again with the new DAA"s that are going to be coming out soon? There are many elixir"s and supplements people are taking for nutritional value and some it seems have value in regards to keeping liver counts (enzyme )readings lower. If the Hepa feels their is no harm ,and markers don"t rise..then yes nothing to lose Keep us informed and good luck.. Will.

579258 tn?1250649343 I choose a vegetable .. AVOCADO ... Here's some information for you ... http://www.avocado.org/healthy-living/nutrition Avocados contain 81 micrograms of the carotenoid lutein, which some studies suggest may help maintain healthy eyes. Avatar f tn My baby is a size of a avocado ! I am 16 weeks & 5 days .... Moving on to the size of an onion in two days ... How about you mommas ? What size is your bundle of joy?
649848 tn?1534633700 I'll go first, just to get the ball rolling......... A is for avocado. While some people might consider an avocado as a fruit, I generally refer to it as a veggie. Avocados are chock full of monounsaturated fats, which are the "good" fats. These fats, often referred to as "MUFA", are excellent for helping to maintain heart health, plus they help to make you feel more satisfied.
Avatar m tn I am curious if I am still getting the same nutritional value from the uncooked oats as if I were cooking them?
Avatar f tn Generally, you should try to eat things that have varied nutritional value and things considered 'healthy' but some cheesecake here and there doesn't hurt.
1544053 tn?1328691992 My dog likes apples. I give her about a 1/4 apple, cut into tiny pieces as treats. At apple time, she often picks her own from the low branches of the trees in the orchard! So I make sure she doesn't get any apple seeds too because they are toxic. Grapes are definitely toxic for dogs. NO grapes! Raisins are the same, ditto sultanas, currants, etc. I've heard of dogs who like bananas, but mine doesn't. Corn....
Avatar f tn To avoid or eliminate i dont think i said. One can eat all carbs but it has to be a controlled consumption in balance to veggies that are low carb and protain. So to be clear one should eat carbs daily but in the correct balance as i said. In the so called reward meal daily eat 1/3 carbs against 1/3 low carb veggies and 1/3 protain. Btw butter is not fattening as long as its pure butter.
Avatar f tn You can eat them but you have to eat some thing else with them because they have NO nutritional value for you or baby.
Avatar m tn I hate to be like this but most of the items (if not all) the items listed consist of total unhealthy junk food with zero nutritional value. It is clear the person put a lot of time and research into the list but I am just saying.
Avatar n tn Beer has some nutritional value also.
594189 tn?1386916607 You should be getting most of your 20grams of carbs from green veg, things like brocolli are ideal. There is little nutritional value in lettuce, so do try to include other things when you are having a salad, how about peppers, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers etc. There is a great forum at http://www.minimins.com/atkins-diet/ if you want to chat to people about your meal plans who understand this diet. Rach.
7489014 tn?1429908568 Spicy is good but Cheetos are kind of like processed junk food. :>) I would try to limit that and go for more healthy options or something with more nutritional value for you and baby. Doesn't mean you can't have some spicy hot Cheetos from time to time though.
Avatar n tn I'm am 5 weeks pregnant and craving avocado! which is wildly different than my first pregnancy where I craved blueberry cake donuts. anyone else have any interesting cravings?
Avatar f tn I ate an avocado, some popcorn, and a few fig newtons and only water to drink.... I have been to the potty 5-6 times today! I'm scared to eat dinner for fear of not being able to get off the potty! I have bought so much poopourri to keep my bathroom from needing a hazmat suit to enter. (Y'all for real that stuff works, even for man poop from the husbands because we all know their poo stinks worse than lady poo!
Avatar f tn For my pain relief I start my day with Cayenne Pepper, Turmeric, Ginger Root, Thyme, Basil, Black Pepper, Garlic, Cardamom, very little Fennel not each day, and Beet Root and Avocado, Wheat Grass, Kombucha and other Probiotics. I am not on any medicine yet, I can't do the steroids. I have learned that these herbs really help me the tumors in my lungs disappeared. Can anyone else share a natural healing herb and support.
