Avatar f tn But am confused about the nutrition fact they write in the box of food (rice for example) they say nutrition facts for 100 g but is it like 100g of boiled rice or the uncooked product ? I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .

Avatar n tn Complex carbs contain essential nutrients and minerals that will help your body develop after working out. A slice of wheat bread, or one half cup of white or brown rice, is a serving of complex carbs. To gain weight, eat 6 to 10 servings per day. Consume more lean meats and legumes to increase the available protein your body needs to rebuild muscles after working out.
Avatar m tn white bread, white rice, white potatoes or foods made with these products. These turn into sugar after eating. Eat more if you want to gain weight. The amount you posted a bird would lose weight. In other words, put the spoon down and pick up a shovel.
Avatar f tn You want to eat whole grains, fruits, vegetables, avoid trans fat and bad carbs like white bread, opt for whole wheat instead. IF your doctor has cleared you for exercising, start with walking, you can do this anywhere and at your own pace. Also, it's best to eat very small healthy meals every 3-4 hours instead of 3 bigger ones. This keeps you full and your metabolism at it's peak! Good luck to you!
148588 tn?1465778809 There are so many different studies and opinions on this issue, I don't think it will ever be resolved... We all know that study data can be skewed any way one wants to skew it, in order to come up with the preferred results. By the way, the video in the link I posted is exactly the same as the video in the original post.
Avatar f tn There's nothing wrong with the veggies you mention. The only reason they might cause bloating is because they are chock full of fiber and if you aren't used to eating a lot fiber, it can cause you to bloat. Broccoli is a goitrogen, which can interfere with thyroid function, but only when eaten raw. Cooking foods that are considered goitrogens, takes away the goitrogenic properties. You mention gluten in your title, then rye vs white bread.

Avatar f tn I use Mountain Bread rice wraps which is 70% rice flour and a lesser amount of wheat flour. It is SO much better than than full wheat wraps. So much lighter and delicious. I wrap ham and cheese inside and then cook it on the frypan to make the bread nice and crunchy. I don't have an intolerance to wheat anyway but I still don't eat a lot of wheat.

Fiber is perfect for us who have pcos, eating more fiber...atleast 20-30 grams a day will help you stay fuller longer...therefore not eating as much.
