Avatar f tn Just in case you haven't heard, hummus and other dips sold at Trader Joe's and Target have been recalled due to possible Listeria contamination. Be Careful Ladies!!!
694630 tn?1227710675 Cake and candy are very appealing :) Right now calorie dense is OK, too. I do pretty good with fruit, not so much veggies. I keep either regular V8 or V8 Fusions in the fridge while I'm on treatment. I still take my vitamins and other supplements. I found Fruit and Veggie gummy bears in either Trader Joe's or at a local natural supermarket. Trader Joe's has wonderful food and it isn't too expensive. I like their snacks especially. Good, clean food for the most part.
Avatar f tn (CNN) - If you've picked up fruit at Costco, Trader Joe's, Kroger or Walmart stores recently, keep reading. Wawona Packing Co. is voluntarily recalling peaches, nectarines, plums and pluots that were packed at its Cutler, California, warehouses between June 1 and July 12. Wawona believes the products may be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. Costco, Trader Joe's, Kroger and the Walmart Corp.
Avatar f tn Yes, the one I'm talking about is already ground. And, you're right, they must be ground up to do any good. Try using a coffee grinder with the ones you have. Make sure you brush out all the coffee grounds first, then wipe out the bowl of the coffee grinder well with a slightly damp cloth to get the remainder of the coffee out of the grinder. Wait for it to dry. Flaxseed will not negatively affect the flavor of your coffee.
Avatar n tn protein drinks and whey protein drinks aren't bad for growing boys. protein is the fastest way to spur muscle growth. i don't know what part of the world you live in, but you can find both of those products at Trader Joe's if that market is availible to you. If not you can find them at pretty much any health food store, major supermarket, or vitamin shop. some gyms like equinox sell those products also.
Avatar f tn Two good places for affordable olive oil: Trader Joe's and Big Lots. Both sell affordable extra virgin olive oil. I also use mine up before it has a chance to go rancid. It is very important not to buy too much at a time. The liter bottles that are sold at Trader Joe's and Big Lots are about the right size. One of those will last a one or two person household about a month.
Avatar f tn I've been told to drink cranberry juice, aim for drinking a gallon of water a day and to cut out sweets. If I test positive for a third uti I'm told I'll need a low dose of antibiotics till baby is here. Bleck! The best cranberry juice is 100% no sugar added and not from concentrate. Trader Joe's carries it. It is super strong so you need to dilute it with water, and I also dilute it with another Trader Joe's 100% juice blend.
Avatar f tn For a lot of reasons, besides the GI issues, I avoid all corn, so I use rice cakes instead of popcorn, and I am with SurgiMenopause about preferences. I prefer the rice cakes, too. I would think that rice and rice cakes would be better than popcorn all around, because the rice doesn't have that hard outer hull that popcorn has that can be an obvious issue for some GI issues. I like the puffed rice suggestion, too, although I still prefer the rice cakes.
6823498 tn?1385819891 I recently found out I was allergic to a certain brand (sprectrum)of coconut oil.. tell her to switch brands (Trader Joe's brand) and see if she has any relief.. or just switch to almond oil..
Avatar f tn I am REALLY CRAVING fish sticks. I went to Trader Joe's and ate 4 of them last night and all I can think about this morning is eating more. Does anybody know what the rule is in regards to fish sticks? I know I need to stay away from shark, swordfish, mackeral and large fish...but what about fish sticks? Some websites say we need to eat more fish whereas others say stay away. Has anyone talked to their dr about it?
1770279 tn?1321073078 My nurse said -- Big Red Gum -- really. People in the forum have mentioned -- sour hard candies. Not sure if Ginger Chews (from Trader Joe's) would help, but it's worth a try since they are pretty powerful. Good luck.
Avatar f tn I use the Trader Joe's prenatals, they have everything you need and don't smell too much. I started with them before getting pregnant, didn't make me sick. I do take them with juice to mask the vitamin taste.
Avatar n tn why is the daily dosage of Mega-Red just one capsule per day (and Trader Joe's and CVS's version) but the dosage for ResQ1250 is 4-6 capsules per day for a capsule that has a much higher concentration of EPA and DHA?
Avatar f tn If there's a Trader Joe's in your area they sell a coconut oil lotion that smells amazing! I was using Palmer's coco butter, but all of the sudden around week 12 the smell started making me nauseous. My friend used the Trader Joe brand her whole pregnancy and it worked really well.
Avatar f tn Trader Joe's carries their own label on rice cakes, rice tortillas and rice pasta. The rice pasta is really good. They also carry the Lundgren brand of rice cakes for less money than other places that carry the brand. Udi's is a brand of gluten free baked goods you may find pretty good. Canyon Bake House makes a terrific gluten free rosemary focaccia bread that is actually soft and not crumbly.
Avatar f tn I will support you in any way that I can. I am not in L.A., but I used to live there. I think if you can taper off by taking fewer and fewer of the pills, it will help. It may not be as hard as you think. Find a Narcotics Anonymous group and go to the meetings. It's always better to be around people who have gone through the same experience. Also, get the vitamin support you need.
Avatar n tn Another big food intolerance to consider is gluten intolerance. I think it is wise to test your son for Celiac. If it comes back negative, this is good news. But, a person can still be gluten intolerant without having Celiac. The treatment for it is the same either way, which is to avoid gluten and dairy, particularly cow's milk. I can't tolerate any kind of lactose, cow or goat. Your son seems to be displaying the classic symptoms of Celiac.
Avatar f tn Cold milk before sleep chewing gum or fenugreek seeds in day time
Avatar n tn what you describe are all symptoms of hypothyroidism. for most of us its corrected with the right dose of meds. maybe this is what you should be thinking about more than trying to cure all these 'individual symptoms'. 50 is a low dosage. if you have been diagnosed with hypo, i suggest you return to your dr ,tell your symptoms and get bloods checked to see if you need to up your medication.
1217151 tn?1276900228 How do we get more trader Joe's foods added to the food list? It is a VERY popular store & brand, most of what I eat. I would appreciate the help to add or if app will add foods. Thank you! Also, sleep benefits and weight loss?
Avatar f tn I've read that if it's organic decaf, it's ok. I get it at Trader Joe's: Organic Decaf French Roast whole bean. But I wouldn't have too much (maybe just a cup) b/c there is a very small amount of caffeine in it.
Avatar f tn What pills have you been on? I tried diclegis and it worked pretty well for me, but I didn't start it until week 14 (I thought I had to just deal with it since I only threw up occasionally). So maybe I was coming out of the morning sickness a little. If I miss a pill now (I'm 22 weeks with twins) I still feel a little sick. Ask your doctor about it, I think it's relatively new. I would also drink ginger beer, it's just really strong ginger ale and that helped.
Avatar f tn Hi, A little medical background helps make my question seem less out there. I'm a 21 year old female with a long term boyfriend. I have bipolar 2, and I'm currently being medicated which Is causing issues . My issue is that I have a crazy high sex drive but my body can't produce enough natural lubrication so sex can be uncomfortable for both of us. I was reading online that I can use coconut oil as lube.
Avatar n tn Currently 33 weeks and still get sick randomly anytime of day or night. If it weren't for Zofran, saltines, applesauce, and Reed's ginger beer (Jamaican ginger ale) from Trader Joe's, I don't know how I would've survived the early weeks.
Avatar f tn If you have a nut allergy, you can try rice milk. There are many rice milk options available. Trader Joe's makes a really good one that they sell in the refrigerated section, if you live in an area where they are located. It is not uncommon to have sensitivities or outright allergy to soy. Soy is one of the top 16 allergens.
