Avatar f tn my 2 1/2 yr. old pit mix was just diagnosed with kidney disease. it was luckily caught very early due to blood tests to figure out why she is leaking urine at rest. after my freak-out stage i am ready to tackle this as best as possible. i really hope she has many more years. the vet has put her on hills and i have great hope that a change in diet will help. my vet doesn't think that meds are necessary right now. please someone give me some good news that this was found early!

I guess there's a difference because when you use dry product you need for example two cups but if you use cooked rice you may need a cup ... Since it sucked water and its heavier so .. Any thoughts or maybe am dumb lol ! Thank you .

You can take care of your body as a vegan; however, you need to be vigilant in eating the combination foods and eating enough food daily so your body gets the protein, and nutrients it needs. As a vegetarian you should be getting all your vitamins and minerals from the foods you ate except Vitamin B12 and maybe Calcium (if you have a history of bone disease in your family).

He can have Green beans, carrots and applesauce (Stage 2) and apple stage 1 only if he's had green beans and carrots......everything else....peas, sweeet potatoes all give him the runs and its a huge mess.......is he still getting the nutrition he needs? I'm worried for him.
Avatar f tn i am used to the pain and can deal with it, what scares me is the kidney pain. normally i dont get kidney pain with the stones. i had to have only one stone removed surgically, it was stuck in the lining of my urethra, total pain on that episode before and after! Does anyone have any knowledge on preventing calcium oxalate stones that i havent tried already? i cant take diuretics because of a sulfa allergy, the potassium citrate does nothing, and i have slowed down on tea and cheese.
Avatar f tn avoid junk food especially Chinese Food, avoid celery and gassy foods like brown beans......avoid anything with a skin on them....weiners, sausages, etc.....and really watch out for fatty foods of any kind.......and avoid sugars and sugary foods....especially store bought ones...
Avatar f tn Try to make your protein source leans more to cottage cheese, peanut butter, pinto beans, kidney beans and white meats such as fish, chicken, turkey and pork and less of the red meats for now. Don't forget Vitamin E too if it's not already part of your diet ;), talk with your doctor and let him/her know your concerns and they should be able to suggest a good ammount to start with.

Especially since you like soup so much, they add great depth to soups and the other ingredients drown out the bean flavor. Ever eat minnestrone? Full of beans.
