I started buying Naked 100% fruit juice/smoothies, but as I drink one right now (says it was made with 4 apples) it has 0% of all vitamins (A, C, Calcium, Iron) and 0g of Dietary fiber per serving. Why is this? The ingredients are apple juice, apple purree, and natural flavors (cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves) I don't understand why it has none of the nutrients that regular apples do?
Avatar f tn but just recently i have been eating only ensure meal replacement shakes, lots of water, apple sauce and other fruit sauces, tuna, and chicken (even kfc) no dairy at all and no fruits with skins and well i can't wait to be able o eat regularly again but in just a few days of this diet i have seen and felt tremendous improvement, the blood has stopped and i am begining to have normal bowel movements. good luck and i hope this helps.
579258 tn?1250649343 I'll pick an apple --- I don't have all the nutritional data, but I can tell you that an apple has only 70-80 calories each, "bunches" of fiber, satisfies the "crunchies" -- what else can I say --- oh, it's yummy and easy to munch on while driving........lol Apples are also loaded with vitamins/minerals (make sure you eat the skin); plus contain quercetin, which is a natural anti-histamine, and anti-inflammatory.

907968 tn?1292622204 Two contrary things in apples. Lots of sugar, as in all fruit, might have gotten to you, though this is awfully quick. Anybody can be allergic to anything. But apples also have quercitin in them, which is a natural anti-histamine which theoretically would make your ears feel less full. A toss-up, eh? I have this fullness problem as well. Mine was apparently caused by a medication, but it hasn't gone away. Weird stuff.

He can have Green beans, carrots and applesauce (Stage 2) and apple stage 1 only if he's had green beans and carrots......everything else....peas, sweeet potatoes all give him the runs and its a huge mess.......is he still getting the nutrition he needs? I'm worried for him.
Avatar n tn I snooped around some more and found a nutrition data dot com that had the information. But the serving sizes are not consistent. At least at USDA you can choose your serving size. Anyway: 1 leaf of green leaf lettuce has 8.2 mcg of Vit K 1 cup of radicchio has 102 mcg of Vit K. Trying to guess how much green leaf it takes to make a cup, hmm, looks like they're both pretty close in terms of Vit. K.

I have discovered this "remedy" through some web searches, but am a bit skeptical, since there seem to be a lot of less than fully substantiated nutritional remedies that can be found on the internet.

Avatar n tn A couple of weeks ago my microbiologist profesor told me that apple cider vinegar has a lot of health benifets and that it can also be use to treat diabetes? this captured my since my mom has type two diabetes. i did some digging around the internet and found some studies that prove this but I'm not convinced, Is there anyone out there that has tried apple cider vinegar? and if so is it wotth it or is it to risky?

Avatar f tn Hey hun you really need to try and eat more..even if its just an apple, couple eggs or a piece of toast for breakfast and then lunch and dinner. Make sure you at least eat those 3 meals a day and snacks in between if ur hungry and plenty of water!
Avatar f tn Still try to eat. I threw up my whole 1st trimester and my Dr would tell me that I needed to get as much nutrition as possible. Try canned souped, and I also suggest you het preggie pops to help ease the nausea. I got the sour ones online from Target and they were great.

(Take it from someone who's lose 75-100 lbs. 4-5 times in her life.) If you cut your calories TOO low, your body will think it is starving and cling to every calorie you eat making it even harder to lose weight.
