Avatar n tn Lots of veggies- plenty of vitamins and low calories. Sweet potatoes have a lot of nutrition in them. Apples are recommended for fiber and are an excellent energy source, releasing sugars more slowly than many kinds of fruit (see private message). Good fats found in pistachios, almonds and walnuts as well as the protein they provide make these nuts good ones to eat. A suggestion I once heard was to eat a small handful of nuts prior to having your meal to help curb your appetite.
Avatar f tn m 27 weeks pregnant the last 11 weeks I have not been eating meat after learning about pink slime and how disgusting fast food really is and watching the documentaries about food and nutrition on Netflix I just could not eat meat for a while I started eating a lot healthier and have been proud of my Nutrition changes but a huge but!!
Avatar f tn I'm a 20 year old male, 5'5, 175 lbs. I'd guess that I'm about 25 lbs overweight. I'd like to loose around 30 lbs in the next 4 months. I don't like and don't have time to cook and I don't own a microwave, I thought up this diet made of foods that seem pretty healthy, I can tolerate, and I don't have to prepare. I don't know much about dieting and nutrition. I don't do much exercise outside of walking an hour a day and jogging once a week.
Avatar n tn Eat varieties of food to gain complete nutrition such as green vegetables like spinach, and other leafy vegetables, fruits, Almonds, walnuts, yogurt, fish and high calorie food. Do exercise as well to increase metabolism and improve body immune.
Avatar n tn Chemo sometimes affects the taste buds, so new foods are sometimes more palatable since you don't have an expectation of what they are 'supposed' to taste like. The key is to keep up the intake of calories at this point. Found good quality tv dinners and meal replacement shakes (eg Ensure) could fill the gap. My husband left chocolate all over the house to entice me to eat - not good nutrition, but again, at this stage, it's more important to keep the calories up. Good luck.

All the foods that I used to crave, but would make me gain weight, Icould eat now, if I could stomach it. I dont drink pops, instead I drink coconut water and juices, freshly juiced fruit if you have a juicer, and vegies too easier to digest, and lots of healthy vitamins.

I'm already a tiny lady - 5'4", 110lb. Prior to the anxiety onset, I love to eat and exercise. The exercise I've kept up with because the endorphins help manage the anxiety. But the anxiety plus the zoloft are killing my appetite.
Tbd Egg whites with vegetable omelet or Almonds and an apple, I like low fat or 0 fat Greek yogurt with blue berries too.
Avatar n tn it's important to make sure your baby is getting all the nutrition he or she needs, it's not always easy considering our cravings are almost always unhealthy lol but keep your baby in mind and make sure you eat something nutritious every day.
Avatar f tn There are other shakes you mix in the blender. Nuts like almonds and walnuts you buy for baking are good for snacks. I buy mine from a warehouse store. I gained twenty pounds back which is perfect BMI for me now I have to keep that weight not gain or lose.
Avatar f tn For my own snacks, I use a piece of fruit, some cut-up raw veggies, a cheese stick, a cup of low-fat yogurt, or a 100-calorie pack of Emerald-brand almonds. You do have to prep the veggies at home and put them in a plastic bag to take with you. The other items can be store-bought and are ready to eat. For the yogurt, you need to remember to bring a spoon.
Avatar n tn An idea of the kind of lunch she will take to school is whole grain bagel with herb and garlic cream cheese, grapes, apple, carrots and dip, cheese, pate and crackers, water and usually one or two of either granola bar, fruit source bar, a couple of cookies, almonds in container something sort of snacky. They have 2 nutrition breaks at school instead of 1 lunch.

417564 tn?1287982827 I stopped getting proper nutrition but kept up with the massive amounts of vitamins. I used supplements...but it would really take alot. I simply did not feel like eating, so I listened to my body and I did not eat...I drank water, I did everything else right. As our counselor said...I am no doctor. Vitamins are very hard on your stomach...especially coming off methadone because you lack proper gut function. Nutrition is of equal importance.
