Avatar f tn Any advise on how to lose weight while breastfeeding? I got down to under my pre pregnancy weight when my baby was 2 weeks old. Since then, I've gained 10. In the last week I've tried cutting calories but my milk supply has decreased. How do I lose it w/o losing milk?
Avatar f tn Breast feeding worked wonders for me lol I had a c section so I didn't do much but I bres
Avatar f tn im not really sure but uou can always ask your doc. I was told while breastfeeding its important to take in about 500 extra calories a day by my doctor but I was also told to make sure I eat lots of fresh veggies and to keep a healthy balanced diet...
Avatar f tn I plan on breastfeeding as well, even if it does not help me loose weight. It would just be a nice side effect. Your body has to burn calories to make milk for your baby. It has helped some women return to their pre pregnancy weight faster. But since it is good for your baby and could help Momma too, it is definitely worth a shot.
148057 tn?1231426991 I know many women praise breastfeeding for helping them lose weight, but have any of you struggled with losing weight while breastfeeding and instead lost it AFTER you were done breastfeeding? I lost all but 5 pounds that I had gained while pregnant. I am 5'8" and weighed 140 before I got pregnant - so I was very average in weight.
Avatar f tn My cousin was but her doctor told her she needs to stop because she is losing weight fast due to lack of nutrients but if you are gaining weight and not feeling weak you should be fine.

I plan on losing a lot of weight ehen thr baby gets here... this isnt for everyone but I will be changing my life style to paleo dieting. Basically you can only eat meats and veggies no carbs. 3360193 tn?1365871889 Yes I haven't given birth yet (due in 2 days - woohoo) , but any mommas out there who know any decent ways to lose baby weight after baby has been born? For the first 6 weeks I know I won't really be doing very much except my usual daily 4 mile walk with the dog (and the pram), and I'll also be breastfeeding. But I do wanna lose my baby weight and a little bit extra as well.
Avatar f tn My son gained back quickly, but I think they say a week or so and they should start getting close to being back to birth weight. Your milk may not have come in yet and you're still feeding with colostrum. Just give yourself a couple more days!

6520484 tn?1399082398 But I still have 20lbs of fat that I put on during the pregnancy. Just wondering if anyone had success in losing the baby weight? I could use some pointers. I already eat healthy and all I drink is water and milk, no juice or pop or anything. I'm too tired to exercise (with Two week old baby and all). Anyone do anything to lose the weight that really worked?
Avatar f tn Every time your baby eats, while breastfeeding, you burn five hundred calories. I didn't lose weight while breastfeeding, due to having hypothyroidism after being pregnant, but a lot of women do lose a lot of if not all their baby weight.

199373 tn?1270487632 I gave birth 2 months ago, and I'm losing weight at a semi-slow pace (I'm breastfeeding so I cannot overdo it). I ordered an elliptical, and plan to workout on it for atleast 30 mins a day. I seem to be losing well in all places but my face and arms. Any advice on how to trim these two areas? Or should I just be patient?
193609 tn?1292180293 im thinking im going to check out weight watchers like peek, i believe they have a program for breastfeeding moms, i hope. i lost pretty much all the weight i gained, but i wasnt paris hilton to start with lol.
Avatar m tn can I take green coffee fat burn while breastfeeding?? I don't want to hurt my boobear.
Avatar f tn You don't feel sick, dizzy, weak or high. You do feel hungry. If you sit a whole lot, you will gain weight when breastfeeding, not because of the breastfeeding but because you are being inactive. But if you keep to your usual schedule where physical activity is concerned, you won't gain weight. Some women do lose a lot of weight while breastfeeding. Breastfeeding was one of the most fun things about my early motherhood, the baby and I got so close.
Avatar f tn I kno that i wont ever get back to how my body look before my pregnacy but i would like to still slim bck down to my new mommys body... I kno breastfeeding helps but i will only be doing it for the first month while on bed rest due to school n work ...
Avatar n tn My first I started at 140 ended at 190 so 50lb weight gain only ever went down to 165. 6 years later with this one I started at 168 I went to 194 so 26lb weight gain now I'm 175 and I'm 12 weeks post pardum and I am breastfeeding. I lost the first 19 lbs in the first 2 weeks so 10 weeks now and haven't lost an ounce.
Avatar f tn I had a friend who had a similar concern, she was pleasantly surprised by her weight loss afer pregnancy. Breastfeeding burns a lot of calories and will actually help you with your weight loss goals, while being a wonderful bonding experience for you and your little one. The part that you may actually find hard is after you stop breastfeeding or aren't his sole source of nutrition and aren't burning those extra calories anymore. I hope this helps.
