Avatar n tn 125mcg to 150mcg is a fairly large jump, and should be enough to bring your hormones back into line. It should take about six weeks. With Unithroid, there is no dose between 125mcg and 150mcg, so if you find 150mcg is too much, you may have to get creative. For example, a scrip for 50mcg and a scrip for 88mcg taken together would give you 138mcg per day. Just a thought if the 150mcg turns out to be a little much. You need to get your TSH down to between 1.0 and 2.
Avatar f tn Well I went to the doctors and stepped on their digital scale and got 158. I don't know which scale to go off of.. Someone tell me I'm not alone..
Avatar f tn I have to disagree with the weight scale on the app. I am 35 + 2 and the "excessive" has shown for weeks now. I have gained 30lbs so far and even though I don't look like it the app makes me feel like a fat cow....lol.
Avatar n tn Just remember the weight gain is normal and baby needs it :) thats what helps me. . Also light exercise and a good diet.
Avatar m tn Hi I have been losing weight and dont know why. The scale is going up rather than down though. I dont workout or do excercise so this is all strange to me. My period also looks lighter than normal. I have had bloodtest which they said is normal.Any idea ?
Avatar n tn From the measurements you stated, his weight is about 10th percentile and height is just below 5th percentile for his age. So his weight is within lower normal range for his age and he is presently on the small side for height which more than likely due to his medical issues. Is he drinking Pedisure, nutrient dense drink (for extra calories, protein, vitamins, and minerals) or another type of drink? That would help to increase his weight.
172023 tn?1334675884 From water retention to glycogen storage and changes in lean body mass, daily weight fluctuations are normal. They are not indicators of your success or failure. Once you understand how these mechanisms work, you can free yourself from the daily battle with the bathroom scale. Water makes up about 60% of total body mass. Normal fluctuations in the body’s water content can send scale-watchers into a tailspin if they don’t understand what’s happening.
Avatar m tn I feel I am on a huge dose for my sliding scale, which still barely seems to keep up. I am on Lantus 40 units, twice a day. Humalog sliding scale, starting at 20 units. For every 50 mg/dl over 150, 2 more units. In a typical day, Between 20-28 units multiple times a day. A1c=7.7 currently. Is Humalog maybe not the right choice if I need such high dosing?
Avatar f tn I usually feel sleepy very very easily when the temperature drops. I'm struggling to maintain my weight, though it's been 49 to 52 kgs in the past few years. I feel I gain weight easily; but I also know that if I cut down pastries and add a bit of exercise, i usually manage to feel light again. Apart from work stress, I'm usually positive and happy. Friends do feel that I have so much energy, though I do sometimes feel tired especially when the weather is a bit cool.
1253197 tn?1331212710 *Insufficient reliability *Ordinal scale *Bimodal distribution (peaks at 2-3 and 6) *Heavy weight on ambulation *Susceptible to non-MS noise *Poor assessment of cognition *Poor assessment of upper extremity *Limited reproducibility I kind of like this comment from George Ebers in his critique of MS trials and what they measure (from http://www.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/340/jun03_1/c2693.
Avatar f tn I'm already considered overweight. Im Doing Pilates everyday and walking constantly. Is that normal for that weight to hit at once? Could it just be water weight? How much weight should you gain in the first trimester?
4976466 tn?1365997211 I was worried when I saw the app scale too. I didn't start a mass weight gain until my 6th/7th month. Then I gained 15 out of nowhere! Doctors were worried about my lack of weight in the beginning, but now I'm 10 over what "I'm supposed to be".
Avatar f tn Iv just been for my 24 week check up and iv gained 19lb, is that normal? What did you ladies gain at 24 weeks?
Avatar f tn I'm 18 weeks and 4 days and still haven't gain any weight. Doctor said it was normal... Anyone else go through this ?
Avatar f tn I have been told too many times that my weight went down and do far I have gained less than 10 pounds and am 34 weeks already baby's weight is normal for gestional age. Doc is not worried though. Trouble is I don't have hunger cues as such and I don't have any food I like - my taste buds are just terrible.
Avatar f tn Every appointment before my last she said my weight gain was normal.
Avatar f tn I'm all better now and my appetite is down. Your weight change can be water weight making you fluctuate but so far you're doing great!
Avatar f tn Its normal that you are not gaining weight. You shouldnt be yet anyway. You can start gaining weight as late as 20 weeks, if you are overweight it can be even later. Its important that you dont eat for two even if you werent overweight. Gaining too much weight can cause you problems at delivery. You should have a healty diet and eat a lot of fruits and vegetables.
Avatar f tn Depending on youe starting weight in your pregnancy that could be too much too fast. If you were under weight, than that's normal. Idk what your weight was but you're not supposed to eat for two. Youre supposed to eat like you did before you got pregnant. BBut if your concerned, you should do several SMALL meals a day. And healthy ones at that. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Yep acvording to this app I'm above normal weight at beginning I was stressing but not no more I can't fight it lol docs says I'm ok I'm jus gonna gain lil more weight at end.
Avatar f tn Always listen to your doctor.. there a doctor for a reason.
Avatar f tn How much weight has everyone gained so far? I've gained about 30lbs and I'm 17wks. Seems like alot.
10743983 tn?1440213810 I see on here all the time people talking about excessive weight gain, and yadda yadda, but all they've gained is like 10-30 pounds and they're in their 30th week. I've gained atleast 60, and believe I will have 70 by the end. If not more. Is there anyone else who has gained weight over recommendation? My body has been holding everything, my whole pregnancy. I am 35/5 and at first I cared a lot, so much I cried at each and every visit and it ruined my day. But not anymore. Screw it.
1829603 tn?1379328434 Do you find the BMI scale a good or bad thing. I for one think it is useless. It takes no account for muscle mass, one of the the key metabolic drivers for losing body fat. Weight means nothing, it is only the overall body fat % that matters.
168348 tn?1379360675 I was thining that maybe granted, less calories being burned the first month post-op, but I'm back to normal and racing around with 4 kids the past 4 weeks like before .. with increased muscle cramps, dull hair, increased constipation, I am certain this, too, is part of the hypo game after surgery until Synthroid is achieved @ right dosing. Did you guys ever lose the weight gain?
962522 tn?1247114293 okay i weighed my self and the scale said i weighed 223 i was ecstatic but then i weighed my self later and it said 230 back to my normal weight and then 227 what is wrong am i doing something wrong plz plz help thanx bunches...
2028721 tn?1356685603 looking at ur pics seems u r normal , but 205 lbs is never a correct weight. u neet to reduce another 20 kg. do regularly aerobic exercise and go for proper dieting.
1339332 tn?1329857966 Same weight for the 3rd day, but this time I'm happy (for now) to be on a plateau...I thought the scale was being unrealistic and at any moment it would go up again. I do hope that this is my next "set-point"/baseline. From here, getting to the 150s looks "do-able"...and at the 150s, while not thrilled with my figure, I feel like I am a "normal sized" woman and don't feel like I stand out as the biggest woman in a crowd or group photo.
1097839 tn?1344583542 I'm assuming you bought only one scale? The scale at the pharmacy may not be calibrated the same as the scale you bought for your home. Case in point -- most of my doctor's scales show me weighing somewhere around 5 pounds more than my home scale. That doesn't mean that either scale is off -- it just means that there can be fluctuation by the minute........ You need to decide whether you are going to continue using the scale at the pharmacy or move on to using the scale that you bought....
