Avatar m tn Hey, I'm currently at a healthy 13.5% body fat but I'm an athlete so I'm really trying to drop that down to under 10%. I've been doing High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) in between weight lifting days and eating primarily proteins, healthy fats, and a small amount of carbs for breakfast and after excersise. I'm trying to lose as much fat as possible in the next two weeks.

Avatar n tn Not sure over overall weight but obviously weight loss. Weight training "tightens things up" with light weights/high reps. Endermologie and things like that don't work but if you have more fat on legs than elsewhere Coolsculpt gets decent reviews.
Avatar f tn According to online BMI calculators which only use your height and weight to deduce body fat, it calculates your numbers at 18.4% which is technically under weight. 18.5-24.9 is optimal weight without any other factors to take into consideration. A scale shouldn't really do any more than that, except it may use some kind of inductive measurement through your skin, but even that is nothing as compared to calipers.
Avatar m tn t explain why high cortisol related weight gain occurs. Even if cortisol was unusually high at the wrong times (for one period in the day) would that be enough to make you gain fat around the mid-section? Can anyone explain this?
Avatar f tn Muscle does not replace fat Fat is fat and muscle is muscle . you can exercise to strenghten the muscle and loose the fat but one does not turn into the other. 6 small meals a day .A carb and a protien. No sodas and sugar. I have lost 46 pounds this way.

Avatar m tn cardio exercises like aerobics help u to reduce weight very fast while yoga tones the body and keeps your body systems fit( though cardio exercises also keep the system strong especially circulation of blood).. so you can do either of the two but you need guidance in the initial levels.. good luck...

She is 17 years old.Is there any way to thin the lower part. She is making exercise etc but nothing is working . My legs are not as fat as hers as her mother. Suggest eating healthy choices such as the healthy heart diet. Heart Healthy diet which is a moderate fat diet and a moderate fat diet means = using polyunsaturated (omega 3, corn oil, nuts, etc) fats and monounsaturated (olive oil, canola oil, peanut oil, etc) fats, no saturated fats (high fat snack foods, butter, fat spreads) and no trans fats.

It seems like with first babies the weight winds up being gained all over, which makes it even harder to accept the dramatic weight gain. Just know you are not alone, it's very normal to have body image issues during pregnancy, and i'm "due" next week and still have cringe moments when I look in my mirror.
