Avatar n tn Not sure over overall weight but obviously weight loss. Weight training "tightens things up" with light weights/high reps. Endermologie and things like that don't work but if you have more fat on legs than elsewhere Coolsculpt gets decent reviews.
Avatar f tn Hello Doctors. I am a seventeen year old female with massive cheeks. My body weight is ideal and often fluctuates from normal to slightly underweight. Please tell me how to get a slimmer face without the recommendation of steroid or surgery. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Not to sound mean but are you considered over weight? I am and I am 16+4 and havent gained only doc says its normal for bigger women not to gain at first, as long as you are eating well you will eventually start to gain.
Avatar n tn I was 160+ at 12 and only 5 ft even. 12 years later I have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, gallbladder problems, exercise induced asthma, knee and foot problems, back problems, and a huge risk for diabetes and heart disease. Honestly most of these problems started in high school, so now is the time for you to get in gear-before these health problems start. Get your thyroid levels tested.
Avatar f tn Her upper part of her body is normal but the lower part is thick , it looks muscles not fat , she does not have selulits but starting from her ankles it is very fat . She is 17 years old.Is there any way to thin the lower part. She is making exercise etc but nothing is working . My legs are not as fat as hers as her mother. 511657 tn?1251843542 When you start exercise, cardio you lose all over your body. Here you will lose fat where you put fat the last. The old fat and the tummy fat, upper body fat will be the last to burn, continue exercising and do regular cardio and your upper body finally would be proportional to your legs. Diet control along wtih exercise is very important. Take care!
Avatar m tn In other words two people could lose the same amount of weight but one might have bad lipids (high cholesterol, high triglicerides, etc) and the other could have good lipids. I assume the one with the good lipids will end up reducing their fatty liver more than the one with the bad lipids even though weight loss is identical.
Avatar f tn I stopped the pills because I suddenly started having really high blood pressure peaks. The bp is normal again after stopping. I have had no menopause symptoms since stopping the pills. I even had obvious signs that my body is producing estrogen, such as fertle mucous, increased energy, etc. In the last 7 days I have had cramping, extreme hunger and spotting, which is now becoming heavier like a period. My doctor tested my hormones 4 days ago and the results confused her.
Avatar f tn The only reason why excess weight some of you are talking about is important is if you gain so much weight it causes high blood pressure and what not. I can say I have eaten healthy and cut out a lot if not all sweets and fast food and I have still gained weight.
Avatar f tn But everybody is different, so, if a person has a heart problem, diavbetes, or is even prone to putting on weight, with a high fat diet, then this added fat wouldn't be a good idea.
Avatar f tn I don't smoke, don't do drugs, my health is fine (tested thyroid etc, all is well and normal) My body composition says I am 44% body fat, which seems high as I have a lot of visible muscle and am very toned except for a thick patch of fat in the dead center of my abdomen. The areas around it look fat free and are very toned by comparison. I have tried a number of calorie intakes and none help - 900-1600 I gained weight quickly and felt terrible all the time.
Avatar m tn ) During tx, I've been on a relatively high fat diet because of serious weight loss (30 lbs), bizarre appetite alteration and riba absorption issues. Once tx is over I plan on going back to a lower fat diet if I can get my old pre-tx taste buds back.
867582 tn?1311630997 Does anyone else notice a relationship to fatty food intake and numbness or any other MS symptoms? After much fat intake (not my normal eating pattern) I seem to have more numbness.
Avatar n tn Neither will statin therapy. Stick to a high-animal-fat diet - watch the weight fall off, watch your energy levels improve, watch your appetite become suppressed, watch your endurance improve. I became convinced a decade ago. For 10 years, I've eaten nothing but animal products - 80% fat, 20% protein. I'm slim, healthy, and trim. I work out a couple of hours every day. But it takes guts to get past the dogma, to step outside the mainstream.
Avatar m tn It also depends on what you are eating. If you are eating a lot of high fat, high sugar foods, you could be headed for trouble. You might try implementing the food diary here on Med Help. You can track your food intake throughout the day and it will tally the calories/nutrient value of what you ate/drank to let you know if there are areas that you might need to cut back on (fat or simple carbs) or areas that you might need to increase (protein, fiber, dairy).
Avatar f tn I have had an unusual increase in belly fat in the past year:(3-4 inches! ) My over-all weight hasn't changed, but it seems that each month my waist and belly increase. I've noticed this since starting Metoprolol ER, 50 mg. My doctor says it's just part of female aging, but I cannot accept this. I am concerned re: the direction I'm going in. I wonder if this medication could cause such a weight gain & if so, how to control my high blood pressure.
Avatar n tn I am a 48 yr old female with high triglycerides but my cholesterol is fairly normal. Last chol. reading was 219, and triglycerides were 324. I have tried all kinds of meds. with every side effect they offer. Lipitor, Zetia, Lovastatin and am now on Tricor. I exercise regularly, weigh 155(which I am trying to lose some weight slowly) and am 5' 6" tall.
8170594 tn?1398747087 That's where all my weight gain has gone. My arms are still skinny and I even still kinda have a waist but my thighs are big! Even my calves are a little bigger. Ugh.
558632 tn?1303474725 ( sugars (ALL) - breads, pasta, potatoes) - must have high protein -water intake/lemon PH levels must be consistant to flush fat - Vit B complex must be optimal - basal temps must be high normal to burn fat So once I started checking this out - I started avoiding these. Basal temp - if still to low is an indicator of weight gain too. I had to increase my internal temp to burn fat. For me I went to iodine to help me with this.
Avatar f tn The problem is that i don't want to lose more weight as i am already under normal. I only want to lose fat and build muscle. Gow can i do it?
Avatar m tn hello i'm 20 years old and i'm trying to lose body fat. i've been hitting the gym every day and doing 60 minutes of moderate workout with my pulse at around 180 and also strength training. my workout consists of walking for 15 minutes at 4.
Avatar n tn My philosophy for fat loss is - train to keep muscle mass - eat well to loose fat. Also the human body is not a calorie-meter. A lot overweigth people eat low amounts of food.
Avatar n tn I eat significantly more unsaturated fats than saturated fats, my diet largely consisting of various whole grains, peanut butter, etc; it's a relatively high protein diet. I know that saturated fat is considered "bad," but I'm not sure just how much I should limit. I tend to judge based on the Daily Value. For instance, is brushing 100% for saturated fat a bad thing, or what? Keep in mind, I'm also trying to gain weight. Another concern: My cholesterol two months ago was 181.
Avatar n tn My parents are even saying that we should eat less and calls my brother a useless fat*** (he is in university and has gained weight since high school) My dad is about 5 foot 7 and weighs 95 lbs and he calls himself healthy.
9807151 tn?1406765659 She's not concerned because the baby is gaining weight and growing as he should, and I don't have any medical problems that are making me lose weight. I'm losing because this is how my body handles pregnancy! They also give me a ton of crap about my iron being .2 lower than they would like it to be.. Even though I'm taking a prenatal AND an additional iron supplement! They're super annoying sometimes, and quite rude even more often than annoying.
Avatar n tn I can not loose wieght for nothing and I am so physically active but, I am extremely exhausted all the time and I hardly eat and when I do it is nothing high fat or high calorie. So I am so lost right now to the major point of frustration. Good Luck & Best Wishes.
Avatar m tn That makes perfect sense if when you gain weight you do it by eating foods high in fat, then cut fat when you diet and lose weight. But the question still remains... Why do you have elevated enzymes when you put on weight, and millions of others put on weight without adverse liver reaction? What is the underlying cause that makes reaction in your physiology different? Is it compromised bile ducts, faulty liver function, problems with your gallbladder or pancreas?
