non stress test is when they lay you on an exam table and strap on fetal monitures to the belly to moniture the baby's activity. i started mine at around 24 weeks. it usually took me 10-20 minutes but my 2 were super active and they got all the information they needed in that time. the tech told me some women were there for as long as 2-3 hours. so it all depends on your little bun and how active s/he is. if you have a good tech it's not so bad.

Had anyone had a bad non stress test. I got news today that my baby girl is not moving like she should. Her heart rate us low and the Dr said I need to keep and eye on her movements. Said if they don't pick up I have to call them and see what they want to do. I'm scared for my baby girl now I want her to be happy and healthy.

No. NST's are normal at this point. They just want to make sure they baby isn't having any issues. With my first I went 5 days passed due and had NSTs weekly from 38 weeks on. With #2 same thing only they didn't like what they saw the day before the due date and induced labor due to erratic fetal heart beat. She was and is totally fine and healthy though.

ve heard of playing with your nipples to bring on labor supposedly but not for the non-stress test. =) I have to start going when I hit 32 weeks but basically what it is they put a belt around your waist to monitor the baby's heart rate and you have to sit there for like 1/2 an hour. I had it done with my son and it's not bad just kinda boring sitting there.

Yes I have had non stress tests or an NSTs the last 10 weeks of my pregnancy. I had them weekly because of a kidney issue in my child. They just had to make sure everything was progressing right. Why does your Dr want one?

Nope non stress test are easy. They just want to monitor your baby more closely! They usually put you on a monitor and listen to baby's heart beat while you relax in a recliner! You will be fine and so will baby.
