Actually...from what I've read in my medical books, you can get pregnant even if you are breast feeding, even if you're having irregular periods or no periods at all. This is often how women get pregnant after giving birth (because they think no period, no ovulation-not true). As for your other question, you'll have to call your doctor in that one. Good luck!

Such a procedure as postnatal examination should have taken place within the 2 months after delivery and the doctor should have told your wife if she is ready to resume sexual activity.
Normally 4 months after delivery is a sufficient period to resume sexual activity. But you should be careful and avoid rough sex at first. Be delicate.

Me personally, I bled for about 5 weeks after my delivery ( I had a c section), and then had my first period about 40 days after that. The next couple periods after that came right on time, though. I think the most important thing to watch out for is if you aren't regular in about 4 months or so. Then you might want to talk to your doctor just to make sure.
Hi I delivered my daughter 4 months ago and I was bleeding for 8 weeks post delivery and since then no bleeding or periods. I have been on microlut for the last 3 weeks and have found Eggwhite cervical discharge today along with period type cramps. Will this mean I can finally expect my period to return as I know this is a sign of ovulation.
I didn't get the paragard immediately after delivery but i had all those issues with it...finally After 3 years i decided to remove it. I had issues with irregular bleeding, very painful cramps, long heavy periods etc.
I delivard my beautiful girl the 21st no drugs at all no pain medicine during or now that I'm home and the first time I went to pee it was lots of blood like I murdered someone in the potty ! Lol now I'm still bleeding just not as bad I put a pretty big overnight pad on at 11 last night it was full by 8 this morning this is normal right? There isn't much blood in the toilet you can see the bottom. How long will bleeding last?
after delivery bleeding is stopped it may take up-to a year to get back the periods again. I personally know some one who got back periods after 1 year of her delivery.
Yours is 6months yet. don't worry. ur periods might start at any-point. Tere is nothing to worry. Be cool and enjoy with your child.

I have a baby of 14 months. After my delivery, I had a period once in the 3rd month and in the 7th month after the delivery. After that it didn't come. I have a hypothyroid problem. I am regularly taking the medicine for that. My TSH level was normal when I checked it 4 months back. My age is 32, weight is 145 lbs and height is 5 feet 3 inch. My baby is still on the breast milk apart from the other table food. She doesn't drink the whole milk.

(scarring inside can make the next delivery difficult depending on how much scarring as well as a chance for separation during pregnancy and or delivery. If your uterus binds to your placenta it then can turn into a serious situation. )

I'm 3 years removed from child birth. First & only child. I was diagnosed with PPCM right after delivery & am still dealing with heart issues. I'm not currently on birth control. I'm having a period now that is the heaviest & longest period of my life. It's been going on for 7 days, with LOTS of bleeding & HUGE (quarter to golf ball size) clots. Does anyone else experience this during their periods?
