Avatar f tn If you have been taking your pill every day and not skipping any pills OR on any antibiotics you should be fine. Your period can be very light on a bc pill. Is it possible that you get Yasmin and not Yas on your last refill? (or generic version) That could explain the lighter period and headaches. The brown is basically old blood.
Avatar f tn I have been off for almost 2 years trying to concieve. Yasmin does help..my face was completely clear and had no hair growth.. since being off my acne has just gotten worse each month. Give it a try..it took a few months but it got extremely clear. Also I tried probably 3 or 4 different BCPs before I started Yasmin and all the others didnt help and they didnt make me feel like myself I felt tired and emotional all the time..Yasmin was perfect..
Avatar n tn i took yasmin for nearly one year then stopped(my periods were regular while taking yasmin), got pregnant after 2months of stopping yasmin, but unfortunately it was ectopic and so i lost it. i would advice you to be careful once you stop yasmin. Also i was taking caltrate(vitaminD+calcium) tablets once a day.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any bad effects from using Yasmin birth control? I had my iud removed and the dr. put me on yasmin but before i start taking them i just wanted sme feedback... thank you...

Avatar f tn I was on Yasmin for about 6 years - no problems very happy with and I stupidly got worried about the hype going on with the deep vein thrombosis that Yaz and Yasmin have been known for. So i went to the doctor as we are going travelling in a few months and i didnt want to have problems whilst overseas. So she put me on Marvelon 28.
Avatar m tn How many yasmin 21 tablets ca you take in a row ? ive taken two packs and am waiting for my period how long should i wait ?
1243620 tn?1274790697 However, if you are going to choose a low-dose mono-phasic pill there is no reason to jump straight to yasmin. Yasmin and Yas are new types of hormones that other pills don't contain, but that does not necessarily mean they are going to be better for everyone. These two are still under "brand" name and therefore will be many more times as expensive for you than another option. I take the generic version of "loestrin FE 1.
484167 tn?1210001396 i would rather not take yasmin and deal w/ irregular periods then feel pregnant...there is no way i will stay on this yasmin if i am going to feel like i have to eat something all the time...i struggle w/ weight issues as it is!!
Avatar f tn I too have been in Yasmin for approx 2 years and never a drama no stomach pains no weight gain nothing. Now I feel bloated all the time, I am very gasy, mild headaches and irritable, but the main thing I've noticed is after the first week I had tummy problems, as if my tummy was not digesting food and it was stuck in there. I have never experienced any of the above ever! Until this. I've asked my actual Dr if it's the same, which he said yes, however the coating is not.
1761691 tn?1313171747 with the Ortho it took me 4months to get over the side effects. took it for 6 months before TTCin n it wasn't so bad. as for the Yasmin, it gave me horrible migraines and I kept on vomiting every time I took it. if ur sure about the Yasmin pills then I'd recommend that u wait until u finish ur ortho first to avoid unnecessary bleeding. Good luck!
Avatar f tn i've had a cooper iud for 10 1/2 yrs, the dr. said it can now stay in for 12, have 2 great kids, happily married, but the last1-2 years i've had bv, yeast infections, and a gross smell down there a few days after my period. i have to have my period in order to take out the iud so i'm toying with the thought of having it removed and either having a new one inserted or having a different method all together.
Avatar f tn I recently switched from Ortho-trycyclin to Yasmin, and I was wondering if it may be possible that I could be pregnant....I am due to start next week, and when I switched pills, I just went right to the new ones like normal.
Avatar f tn if you had sex while you were on your period, used a condom and you regularly take your pill there is no reason to be concerned about pregnancy. continue taking the pill as prescribed and directed by your doctor. and give your body time to stabilize again. i think one of the hardest things is that it takes so long to stabilize. we are living in a world where you push the button and you get a reaction. but its so different with our bodies.
Avatar f tn I was not happy about this but was told by the gynea it was needed to stop it from happening again. now we have moved to Qatar and the pharmacy gave me Yasmin as he said it was the closest. I see that the one hormone is the same but the other ethinylestradiol in YAz is 0.02 and in Yasmin is 0.03. What does this mean and is it safe to give her?
Avatar n tn i have been taking the yasmin pill for a few years and its recently making me not feel passionate with my partner. When i stop taking it to have a period i feel passionate. This isnt good for me and my partner as our sex life is non existant unless im having a period.
1313343 tn?1274833215 YASMIN IS SITED FOR SERIOUS ORGAN ISSUES!! I WAS IN THE HOSPITAL THE 3RD YEAR WHEN I WAS ON IT WITH CAT SCANS. IVS. ETC..... EVER SINCE I FOUND OOUT I WAS PREGNANT I STOPED ALL MY MEDS. B.CONTROL, ZOLOFT, AND 2 DIFFERENT KINDS OF MEDS FOR MY STOMACH!!!! THEN I FOUND OUT I WAS HAVING A MISCARRIAGE. EVER SINCE MY M.CARRIAGE AND STOPPING ALL MEDS I HAVE NOT HAD ANY STOMACH ISSUES!!!!!
Avatar f tn I would say to try the pill out for a few months, like 3 UNLESS your symptoms get worse. The body needs time to adjust to any bcp and 3 months is the normal. I'm on Yasmin too and never had any problems with it. Yasmin is one of the top bcp that is given to woman with pcos because most woman can tolerate it better then other bcp. The only thing I've found while taking Yasmin (and I think this goes for ALL bcp) it raises my blood pressure a little.
Avatar n tn I have recently been prescribed Yasmin for period cramps. A year ago I came off Micrognon 30 as it was causing distress on my body and emotions. I have only taken the pill for 2 weeks today, but I am getting a bit concerned as I am still on my period. It's not a heavy flow but there are dark red clots (which vary in size and colour). I have thought about seeing my GP but maybe it's my body adjusting with the pill and I need a few months to see if it's a problem for concern or not.
Avatar f tn Has anyone had any bad effects from using Yasmin birth control? I had my iud removed and the dr. put me on yasmin but before i start taking them i just wanted some feedback... thank you...
Avatar n tn I was on Yasmin for about 2years , i stopped taking it about 4months ago and i havent been on my period since!.
Avatar f tn MED HELP Doctors forum opined that it may be due to irregular use of Yasmin in high doses those 2 days and that my next period might be delayed. Day 24 and 25, I had clear discharge that was sticky and happened some 3-4 times. Not sure what it is.....is it delayed ovulation??? can there be any chance of pregnancy??
Avatar f tn You can also postpone your periods by taking norethisterone which is often used to postpone a period. The dose is 5mg three times a day starting 3-4 days before a period is due. It can be continued for up to 2 weeks or so until you want to have a period. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
