3561313 tn?1347616992 my son is only 8 yrs old, lead a very active life, has no problem with movement (can go mountain climbing, etc) and he is diagnosed with cerebellar atrophy. Is this possible? He has stiffness and tightness in his legs, esp the knees which causes dull aching pain. If the nswer is yes, how can I help him? Is any any cure or medicine for him? Will it definitely worsen overtime?
Avatar n tn An EKG is not the most reliable way to diagnos RVH. This could simply be a lead lacement issue during the EKG that gave a fales reading, this happened to me. They will need to do an echo and stress test to be sure, but I would not get too worked up yet. WHne you mention she did other tests, were they diferent than an EKG? If she did an echo than that would be more accurate an would require further investigation.
Avatar n tn I should mention that I am 38 yr old male, with normal blood pressure, no family history of CAD, non smoker, BMI = 24, no other risk factors that I know of

Avatar n tn He has mentioned nosebleeds lately (not excessive but more than none, which he had before) He is complaining about heartburn, He is complaining about urinating in the nighttime, headaches seem to be more frequent, he is taking a ton of tylenol for aches and pains. He is a construction worker so it is a very physical job, he is never sitting. He has also been complaining of the TV or computer being dark, (I dont think so).
Avatar f tn I wish people stop complaining about what questions other people post... Either read it or don't! answer it or don't! I know this may seem hypocritical cuz i am doing the same thing right more but whatever! Don't read mine either!
Avatar f tn The best way to reduce it is to work with your doctor on some life style changes including diet and exercise. Try to avoid processed foods, a basic rule of thumb is to avoid anything that comes from a window, bag or a box. Also, at your level you may need some medical intervention like a statin. Again, you should discuss this with your doctor.
Avatar f tn I feel exactly the same way you do.. I'm 37+2. I don't want to do anything but lay in bed. All the pains are horrible. I couldn't walk the other day due to back pain. I want her out but then I think the longer she's in there the healthier shell be. I have a 4 yr old son and I'm at a pizza arcade place right now but ugh I have no energy. LOL. Not to much longer.
Avatar n tn What is your history with this? I would seek medical advise....
159619 tn?1707018272 Hi, How are you feeling? Yes, it would help to relieve pain by draining fluid from knee. Fluid in the knee is due to injury and inflammatory response in knee. I think you can start RICE protocol. Rest: no weight-bearing activities for the first 24 hours after the injury. Ice: apply ice packs to the area that is painful or the focal point of the injury. Apply ice intermittently for the first 24 hours, utilizing a pattern of 20 minutes of ice followed by 60 minutes without ice.

Avatar n tn I'm a 40yr old male, 180lbs, non-smoker, non-drink, no drug use, no other health issues. About once a month (for the past year) I get these attacks/episodes with hypertension 150/100+, shivering, and sternum/stomach pain. Sometimes I will also get tachycardia, cold hand/feet, severe dizziness, blurred vision, and exhaustion.
Avatar n tn There was an investigation of the females who did AIT there. Due to a mix up I was sent to Ft. Gordon . The females who went there were also interviewed. My name not being on the Ft. Gordon list, i was never interviewed.
Avatar f tn During a routine new patient exam I was newly diagnosed with chronic HepC and wondering what treatment options are available (in Michigan). After going to a GI Specialist I found out that I am genotype 1a, viral load of 1.65 billion (6.2 log), stage 2 fibrosis. AST - 86, ALT - 72, WBC 5.8., Platelets 92,000. The last time I had any of these tests was in 2005 and my readings were good then. I've recently had an ultrasound, CT scan and a liver guided biopsy (which showed no cancer).
Avatar m tn No. You have covered your bases with std's. You should know that men do not get BV. It stands for bacterial vaginosis (it is a bacterial infection of the vagina). You just have to keep following up with your doctor. Get a second ENT opinion. But go ahead and rule out std's. To get an std orally is pretty rare anyway.
