3561313 tn?1347616992 The two elder brothers are alright physically. Jon, my 18 yr old son, was diagnosed with mild cerebellar atrophy on 11/9/2012. I was told by the neorologist that he inherited the disorder from me. Needless to say, I am filled with despair and guilt. If only I had found out more about this disorder before I planned my family. Since 11/9, I have been unable to think of anything else but Jon becoming worse and ending up like me when I was a teenager.

Avatar n tn An EKG is not the most reliable way to diagnos RVH. This could simply be a lead lacement issue during the EKG that gave a fales reading, this happened to me. They will need to do an echo and stress test to be sure, but I would not get too worked up yet. WHne you mention she did other tests, were they diferent than an EKG? If she did an echo than that would be more accurate an would require further investigation.

Avatar n tn It could be a concern about production of artifacts (obscured visibility) as it may lead to an underinterpretation of true perfusion abnormalities, since the effects of soft tissue attenuation may be overestimated by the observer. In other words an artifact can not rule a positive observation but for the artifact. You may want to discuss the matter with our doctor as it may depend on what is being obscurred.
159619 tn?1707018272 Hi, How are you feeling? Yes, it would help to relieve pain by draining fluid from knee. Fluid in the knee is due to injury and inflammatory response in knee. I think you can start RICE protocol. Rest: no weight-bearing activities for the first 24 hours after the injury. Ice: apply ice packs to the area that is painful or the focal point of the injury. Apply ice intermittently for the first 24 hours, utilizing a pattern of 20 minutes of ice followed by 60 minutes without ice.

Avatar f tn The best way to reduce it is to work with your doctor on some life style changes including diet and exercise. Try to avoid processed foods, a basic rule of thumb is to avoid anything that comes from a window, bag or a box. Also, at your level you may need some medical intervention like a statin. Again, you should discuss this with your doctor.
Avatar f tn I feel exactly the same way you do.. I'm 37+2. I don't want to do anything but lay in bed. All the pains are horrible. I couldn't walk the other day due to back pain. I want her out but then I think the longer she's in there the healthier shell be. I have a 4 yr old son and I'm at a pizza arcade place right now but ugh I have no energy. LOL. Not to much longer.
Avatar m tn What you need to focus on is your EF % to monitor the efficiency of your heart. Anything over 50% is normal. By tracking this number you can see if the septal hypertrophy is affecting your heart function. This is more a symptom of an underlying disease than it is a disease in it's self. You should be working with your doctor to determine why your septal wall has thickened and treating that condition.
Avatar n tn I would indeed go directly to the Angiogram - Jon was right, you will probably finish up having one anyway. Better to avoid the high radiation from the CT if possible. Of course 50% blockage in regular arteries are usually not given Stents. Same as they usually wait to do surgery on the Carotids until the blockage is at least 70% I think it is. .
Avatar n tn What is your history with this? I would seek medical advise....

Avatar f tn I have a 100% blocked LAD and a very diseased RCA. My stress test in 2007 lasted for 30 minutes and showed no problems at all. My nuclear perfusion scan also shows no problems, it shows a heart as fit as an ox. The only true way to tell is by an angiogram because you are looking directly into the coronary arteries.

1216899 tn?1288570325 Ok, as most of you know, I am not Dx'ed with anything, so what's going on, I have no idea. That being said, whew, I believe I have over done it. Work is very demanding, after about a year and of half of a very bad slow down, and out of no where I am working like crazy lately. This heat, the stress (both physical and mental), the long hours, I think have taken it's toll.
