What would happen if you rubbed pure nitroglycerin on your skin?
I'd like to know the symptoms on and below the skin. I know that nitroglycerin is used for anginas, but I also know that it's generally mixed with something else, so I'm curious about how well pure nitroglycerin would work and what it would do.
And if you had a vial of pure nitroglycerin, what could you mix it with to be able to use it as ointment?

Treatment for hemorrhoids would depend on the kind and severity of one’s symptoms. If the hemorrhoids are still small and do not cause any problems, oral medications and an ointment applied on them would be helpful. Having a high fiber diet and increasing water intake would also help. However, if the hemorrhoids are already thrombosed, resulting in bleeding, enlargement, pain, and difficulty in moving the bowels, surgical excision would be the best treatment.

I am a 21 yr. old male and have a history of hemorrhoids. I had the banding procedure done about 6-8 months ago. I went to see a general surgeon 2 weeks ago because I was having rectal pain, discomfort and itching again. He told me I have pruritus ani. I was wondering if i shouldask to have an anoscopy done when I return to see him for a follow-up in two weeks? I would rather have an anoscopy done before him telling me to have a colonoscopy done. I was diagnose with clogged arteries over a year ago. I even had a stent put in because one of my arteries was ecluded. I still had stable angina every time I did some for of cardio activity or is I ate something with sodium. I started using Nitroglycerin patches and even have the pills just in case my angina episode occurs.
I had a date and I read online that you can't take viagra and any nitrates cause it can drop your blood pressure really low.

You could use Preparation H cream that helped me out alot on my first pregnancy or talk to your doctor about it and see what he or she says :)
Yes, you have hemorrhoids, not any STD. Hemorrhoids come from straining, vascular tissue swells, and when dry waste goes by them, it hurts. And the pain in your backside and upper legs is probably from the muscles being pushed so hard. Also, hems are not always visible when you look, they can be small and not swell until waste is passed or they can be inside.
These treatments reduce the blood supply to the hemorrhoids so that they shrink or go away. For anal fissure a 0.2% nitroglycerin cream can reduce the pressure in the internal anal muscle and allow the fissure to heal. Use of calcium channel blockers may help healing by reducing the pressure in the internal anal sphincter. Consult a surgeon and do keep us posted on how you are doing.

A short background of my problem - I took a strong antibiotic in Feb and immediately noticed an anal itch which gradually got worse. Used Prep H cream for a while and taking daily salt baths since Feb, went to doc in March and no hemorrhoids found, just dry and damaged looking skin. April I was prescribed anti-fungal single dose plus an ointment to use daily. The itch faded away quickly which makes me think it was yeast, but the feeling of swelling, dryness and stiffness persisted and got worse.
Ok cool. I used witch hazel in high school for breakouts lol but I didn't know they worked for hemorrhoids but I was a ftm and didn't know what to use to get rid of them.
