On august 1st, I quit suboxone at 8mg, I had been taking ALOT of neurontin aka gabapentin during the withdrawal to help with symptoms, I was taking around 6,000 to 7,000 mg a day, somedays even 10,000mg but that amount was very rare.
In my personal experience,about 15 years ago,I was on Neurontin ( GABA ) for 4 years. It was prescribed to me for pain along with an opioid. It worked nicely. I am unaware of Neurontin being prescribed for sleep.

I wouldn't take anything that affects brain neurotransmitters given the huge number of drugs you're already taking that are duplicative in targeting these receptors. For example, say you tried valerian.
