Avatar f tn Hi I have been taking a 25mg of trazadone to help with sleep but I wanna try natural remedies like valarian root or magnesium. Can I take both natural remedies?
Avatar n tn Is there any research showing a loss of libido for men taking anti-seizure meds for epilepsy? Specifically neurontin or dilantan. If so, are there any treatments or suggested alternatives? Tks, concerned wife.
Avatar f tn s open to natural remedies- to help you switch from prescription medication to natural alternatives without the side effects. Or find a holistic doctor, or pm me directly for some ideas ( you should still consult with your doctor though, before considering any changes to your existing medications as you may need to be weaned off). Take care.
382218 tn?1341181487 Having to sleep and get up at precise times and plan your life around this is horrible, and in my opinion should be avoided if at all possible. Neurontin is not the only act in town and you're already on a high dose. Do you think it's helping at all? And does it seem to wear off at or before the times you normally would take it? There are a lot of pain meds out there. Most people with neuropathic pain are now on Lyrica, which is sort of Son of Neurontin.
Avatar f tn Don't get me wrong I'm not routing for a natural birth but as I already have back problems I was wondering if there are any pain relief options besides the needle in spine...
Avatar n tn This is my third bout with trigeminal neuralgia. I'm 47 years old with a history of six or seven concussions, several severe. I was wondering if anyone had heard of this as a possible cause for onset of symptoms? When I had it before, the doctors treated my pain with morphine, oxycontin and xanax before being placed on long term neurontin. Now I'm facing the same treatment, but DO NOT want to go back on neurontin. The constant hunger and weight gain was horrible.
1477817 tn?1287344984 Pulsating pain non stop, I take neurontin and a pain killer hydros 10mg. But I want to get off the meds and have been told this could be a permanent or take up to 10 years. I want to know if there is a way to relieve the hypersensitivity through non narcotic meds or acupuncture or anything . I am to the point where I want to cut it off it hurts so bad.
11444957 tn?1442981892 What are some natural alternatives for treating period pain?? I am it a very big fan of using pills if I do not know exactly what is inside them.
Avatar f tn Does any one know of a natural treatment of endometriois? I have had a hysterectomy but have one ovary left. It's been 2 mths since my surgery and the endo is back. My doc wants me to take the Lupron shot. But I can only have one more. Any help will be appreciated.
Avatar n tn I don't think anyone here will defend the use of "natural" alternatives. there is no proof that they kill the virus or cure the damage.
Avatar f tn m lactose so I had to research alternatives
Avatar f tn I go natural and use focus points and breathibg and counter pressure along with water to control my back labors
Avatar n tn s not a bad idea for you to at least try the many different natural treatments before subjecting yourself to medication, although I must be honest that in many cases that are more severe, the natural suppliments are not enough to effect any positive change in the anxiety or depression. I have tried just about every natural treatment for depression and anxiety on the market today.
Avatar m tn Same wrong answer. There are long term effects well documented on most pharamceuticals with the exception of the newer ones. We have government agencies for this with pharmaceuticals, noboody's watching the so called "natural" or "herbal", plus most pharamceuticals are made from what you push as "natural," and this is why you don't mix the two.
Avatar n tn Do you take any supplements or natural products to help with your anxiety? If so, what do you use? How effective is it? What exactly do you suffer from mostly (anxiety, ocd, panic, phobias)? And, is there anything you do not like about it? If you guys could answer those few questions for me that would really help me out, thanks!
757137 tn?1347196453 s supported by over 200 scientific researches and they all go in favor of Pycnogenol and trust be, in the scientific community they are very skeptic about natural products so this is like the holy grail of natural products.
458072 tn?1291415186 Within two weeks the hot flashes were back, and seemed worse than ever. I started looking into natural alternatives, and like you, was turned off at the prospect of having to wait three months, hoping for improvement. A poster in another forum suggested that I try Wisdom Menopause Formula. She said that it worked fast, so I ordered a bottle from Amazon. I’ve been taking it for about three weeks now, and so far it seems to be working wonders.
Avatar f tn He does not like them and thinks there are better alternatives, I was taking 2mgs. a day and have very slowly tapered down to .25 mgs a day. I have had some breakthrough panic attacks recently, but I am still pretty much under control with Celexa. (and Neurontin at night.) Klonopin helped with everything including the chronic insomnia. I still have sleep issues, but not too bad. I took the Klonopin with Effexor originally. Had to get off Effexor because of the insomnia.
