Neurontin generic price

Common Questions and Answers about Neurontin generic price

172023 tn?1334675884 If you are a self pay patient, you know how expensive Neurontin (gabapentin) is. My dosage is 600mg twice a day. CVS wanted $218 for a thirty day supply (60 tablets, 600mg each). Walmart wanted $110. But get this...the curious pharmacy tech looked up the price of 300mg capsules....$13 for a thirty day supply, 300mg, two capsules twice a day (equals one 600mg tab taken twice a day). Can you freaking believe that???? $110 for the 600mg, $13 for 300mg.
Avatar f tn Hi Sarah - I'm not sure if branded Neurontin pills are different from the generic gabapentin pills. I take gabapentin and they are indeed giant. I'm maxed out at 3600mg/day. This is divided into 1200mg doses, morning noon and night. I don't seem to have any side effects, for which I'm grateful.
Avatar n tn It is also much cheaper as there is a generic. I could never afford the neurontin price and eat too. The only side effect I seem to have is that I sleep through the night which is not normal for me. I am generally up 2 or 3 times a NIGHT FOR many reasons. Sometimes because of the pain in my toes. Is anyone taking Elevil with success.
Avatar n tn I take clonazepam for panic disorder/anxiety, I take Zoloft for depression, I take Tylenol-Codeine#3 (generic kind, tho), and was on Lyrica for a while until it got too expensive and had to switch to Neurontin (big mistake). ANYway, do you know that when I started taking this new generic clonazepam, ALL the things my other three medicines are supposed to help, they STOPPED helping me!
1059772 tn?1286658790 They say it saves quite a bit of money. The cost of generic drugs will drop even lower in Canada because the govt has ruled pharma co's can no longer offer kick-backs to pharmacies.....although I don't know how this works and how it will lower prices, but that's what the news said a few days ago. Lulu's right, it's got to be dangerous to order drugs through the internet. I could give you the 1-888 number of my pharmacist, but I don't know if they're allowed to ship to the US.
Avatar f tn I was on some pretty high opiod dosages, and it didn't even begin to help this type of pain. neurontin may help, but it tales a month or so of taking it to start to feel any difference.
Avatar f tn what are the true danger signs to look out for and are there any other ssri type meds to take cymbaltas place that would have a generic or cheaper price tag. My insurance company will not cover cymbalta. any and ALL THOUGHTS AND ADVICE WELCOME! THANKS!
Avatar f tn I'll also look into the neurontin and check out the price etc. thanks again for giving me a new prespective on the tingling.
211940 tn?1267884866 I don't know what kind of pain you have, but neurontin is available as a generic (gabapentin) and it's very inexpensive. I think I paid ~ $4/month with insurance. Even w/o insurance it still probably won't cost more than buying a months' supply of ibuprofin. Good luck.
1391401 tn?1280161900 Thanks for correcting your error Jaded. Celebrex is NOT Aleve. The generic name for Celebrex is celecoxib. The generic name for Aleve is naproxen. They are both in the same family and are classified as a NSAID, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. While their actions are similar they are not the same. They should never be used conjunctively. I don't even know of an instance that a physician has prescribed them to be taken simultaneously as their side effects individually can be worrisome.
Avatar f tn The anti-diarrhea pill that I take is just a generic one from wal-mart. It literally just says "Anti-Diarrhea" on the box. I found it on a whim, actually. I was out of the liquid and I was desperate because I didn't want to take it, so I bought the first pills I found. I also had the dizziness and blurred vision. I have some problems with electrolytes, so it messes all that up. It's a bit of a pain, but I find that the easiest thing to get through.
Avatar n tn I do not know your reasons for taking the Zoloft, but if your reactions to people in your life and/or your current living conditions are a catalyst for your unhappiness, please consider what you're doing to yourself in exchange and ask yourself if it's worth it. Peace at any price, including the loss of your personality? While you may not suffer from great sadness anymore, you will not feel great happiness either. In fact, your emotions will begin to feel as though they belong to someone else.
Avatar n tn Maybe it's a 'Generic' issue. I live in CA Oh and you're the first person I've ever chatted with. I usually get bored and frustrated on the computer. Did you notice how only two of four responses to you we're sucessful? I lost some good material because it got erased.Ugh!!
1412606 tn?1282885729 This was not for any reason other than I refuse to go to a big box pharmacy. The reason for me to go to compound was not price alone it's only About 10% less.I was talking with my doctor about different options and taking so many meds.My PM doctor wrote the script to include an additional med in the compound. I can tell to that the factory patches are easier to use because I have add gel to patch then apply.
199177 tn?1490502134 Anyway it doesnt really matter as i am clean and it is a small price to pay. Could be alot worse. Enjoy the 4th and have fun eating ice cream!!!!
Avatar n tn If you look at the bright side though, you're not taking a opiate. I'm prescribed neurontin for the nerve pain but rarely take it as I've heard it can be addictive also. What out there doesn't have some sort of addictive traits? Coffee, soda, chocolate, etc...the list goes on and on! Some things are just more dangerous than others.
Avatar f tn com] It's apparently an ebook written by a lady named Adele Michaels who wrote all about the symptoms we suffer from (if you check out the website you will see what i mean) she seemed to have it down word for word what we suffer from. I was about to buy the book when i saw the price. $49.95 which wouldn't be a lot to cure this problem we have, but i decided to do some more research on her. I googled Adele Michaels and found this web page -----> [www.stopshakyhands.
Avatar n tn pain down the leg is gone. There's also a pill or capsule called Neurontin. I don't know if it would work for your condition, but you could ask. Still others seek pain relief by swinging a dead dog over their head while counting backwards from 100. But I don't think the FDA has approved this therapy. And there is the question of where the dogs come from.
Avatar f tn we have tried methadone and other drugs, combo with neurontin, you name it.. and I can't function on these other drugs. This is why I am mad at Purdue. Also, I applied for assistance from Purdue and they let me in their program for the medicine but they were late in delivering the drugs two months in a row causing me to go into withdrawal. Then they referred me to public assistance. They don't want to help anybody.
Avatar f tn I went off Topamax for a while, and had decided it was not worth having migraines! (My insurance will only pay 50% of the price of Imitrex or Maxalt, or any drug, and worse yet, limits me on how many a month, so I need a way to PREVENT migraines.) The real reason I need to drop Topamax is due to the Brain Fog. I work for a major corporation, and have made a few public blunders like forgetting stuff, in the last year.
Avatar n tn Hello I stopped taking fioricet the end of November. I have had a 20 year addiction to this drug on and off. It was prescribed to me for migraine headaches back in the mid 80's and at first it worked great and I only took it when I needed it. However, after awhile I started taking it to prevent a headache because I was afraid of getting one. Gradually it became an addiction and I was taking it daily mainly for the "buzz" that it provided. The most I every took was 10 per day.
Avatar n tn No, fioricet is a blue tablet with the shadow of three faces on it or a white tablet (generic) that is a tablet or a caplet shape. It is something I wish I had never seen!
Avatar f tn My doc said it was a pretty ingenious regimen I came up with and had nothing bad to say about it. ALSO I had been prescribed NEURONTIN - but I much prefer the Doxepin. The Neurontin upset my stomach, had to take it 3 times a day, it took a LONG time (hours) to take effect and was unforgiving if I missed a dose or was late - had to wait hours all over again for it to kick back in. The upset stomach really did me in though. I hope this helps someone else.
Avatar n tn I think its a thyroid issue, but cannot afford the lab test bc I don't have health insurance and am unemployed. I am on generic Xanax and Celexa for anxiety and depression, but that's it for medical issues. I just thought I'd share my 2cents.
Avatar n tn Paperman, it will be one of the toughest things you have probably done, but the reward is worth the price of admission!!! I am on day 8 of sobriety from Perksand I am feeling better and stronger each day. I nearly lost my wife/children and my job, but I was able stop (thank god) in enough time that I will be able to repair the damage. What I did, was go into another doctor (who wasn't perscribing me the Perks) and laid it on the line with some real honesty.
