All of a suddena couple of nights ago, I got this itchy rash on the front and sides of my neck and upper chest. The only thing I did differently was take a protein shake, adding in a joint supplemental powder. MSM,
Chrondrotin, etc. Has anyone ever had a rash from those joint supplements? Otherwise, I don't know what could have brought it on - it's lasted now for 5 days and I have avoided taking any supplements to see if it would go away.
Any suggestions?
I have had a rash like small hives around the neck and upper chest, very itchy I have gone to the doctor several times and have gotten steroid injections and have only helped for a week and then its back, currently he put me on Predisone 40 mg and have tappered to 5mg and now the rash is back. It seems to surface at night and I noticed that I am real sweaty at night not to mention very itchy. I do have Rheumtoid Arthritis. Could there be a connection?
So more than a week ago my arms became very itchy and rash (small light red pimples) started to develop. Around same time same itchy rash started to develop around neck (basically between breasts and neck). Sometimes itch goes away or becomes almost unnoticeable, but sometimes (mostly around evening, before sleep) it becomes unbearable so I start to scratch them.
Could it be scabies? Or some sort of allergy (but my lifestyle haven't really changed for last couple of weeks).

I'm Vitamin D deficient and started taking 50,000 IU of Vitamin D; only to find out I'm allergic. My face and neck have swollen and developed a rash. I've read this has happened to others, but I haven't seen a solution posted. I'm sure it will work it's way out of my system; however, I'm on day 4 and wondering how much longer the reaction will stick around??
Hello! For the past 4 months or so I have been getting hives on the sides of my neck. It happens almost every day or every other day. I have not changed shampoo, lotion, deodorant, laundry detergent, or anything else of that nature. I've never had allergies to mold, pollen, or any particular food in the past. It seems to have started a few months after I had some major dental work but I don't know if there's any correlation.
First off...GET OFF STERIOID; they ruined my sister's face. Ended up looking like a bad botox face job. 6 months and still not over it! I have the red blotches around neck (front and back). I had a shingles preventive shot 2 years ago so we don't think it is shingles; however, you do have a "low" percentage chance that virus will show it's ugly face anyway...without sores though. My general Dr. has me on Roshea lotion (cooling and antibotic)--MetroGel.
I develop a rash on my neck at beginning of summer or when i visit hot places like Arizona occasionally.

It starts like red blotchies here and there, (not bumpy) itchies. It consists like a month or abit more.
Towards healing end, red marks turns into brownish color and that area skin looks like wrinkles like after sunburned.
It doesn't happen often.

Took her to allergist after rash didn't go away for a couple days. She thought she seemed sick.
they go away and come back and now i am having Tingling or a pins-and-needles sensation on my upper body(hands,neck,back,sides) i have been taken allergy medicine and using caladryl clear lotion but seems to be no help. Does any one know whats wrong with me?
I also have a slight rash on my fingers. The rash appeared in January 2010 after moving into a new house and I still have it. I have seen three physicians, a dermatologist and an allergist and no one can figure out what I have except that they think I am having an allergic reaction to something. I have had steroid shots, prendisone, and another steroid medication that starts with an "m" but I can't remember the name, Zyrtec, Xyzal and Ranitidine.
The backs of her ears have been swollen and red and she has a rash down the side of her neck starting from the base of her ears. She also says that her neck is itchy. We strongly believe she has a nickel allergy but we aren't sure if that would also cause the face rash as well. We bought some 14k gold earrings to see if that solved the problem a couple days ago but she says the rash is still the same.
I was told I should go for a complete allergy testing. This has always been confined to my neck to start-could this have to do with my thyroid? I do have allergies that runs in the family and I take a Zyrtec every day for indoor/outdoor allergies. I am being hesitant to run to the doctor for testing as I have health insurance but my deductibles are high and the economy has hit us hard as my husband has owned a real estate company for 25+ years. Contact dermatitis, Psoriasis, heat rash, chicken pox all can cause rashes in these areas of the body. Other possibilities are candidiasis, fungal infections, parasitic infestations like scabies etc. In herpes there is a cluster of vesicles on a red base. In moist areas like the vagina it may cause ulcerations. Consult a dermatologist for a better evaluation.
The said rashes increased in quantity and spread to other parts of my nameley chest, neck and back. I also had few raised swellings on my back. I went to the doctor and told me that this is an allergic reaction and precribed antihistamine and cortisteroids topical ointment. My question is: Does egg induced rash stay for around five to six weeks duration. I still have them. Please reply. I am a bit stressed up.
Just today I noticed a light red rash on my neck with a few spots that extended down my arm. It is painless and relatively hard to notice, but it still freaked me out given my recent experiences. I have a rash that Started on arms 3wks ago moved to legs rash on legs gone but now its all over my back neck and around the stomach. Also some on one breast.
I've taken allergy medicine seems to relieve symptoms should I continue when should I go to doctor.
What worries me is it seems to go away than come back.
I have these welts on the side of my face and neck. I cant think of anything that would cause this only on one side of my face. Im allergic to all kinds of stuff outside like pollen and mold, and also mosqitos, dogs, cats, and rabbits. im probably allergic to more than that, and just dont know it. I also hav asthma. Im around dogs all the time, but I have never actually gotten welts or anything, only sneezing and stuff like that.
