Lately I only have rib case bone joint pain and tiredness on neck and shoulders. 2 X rays and 1 swallow X ray have been done. Physical check up blood test only high cholesterol. I'm a smoker, 15 cig/day for 15 yrs. I have very bad allergy when I got cold and make me have running nose then cause the sore throat since very young age. The symptom start since I bought a pool and stay in water for couple hours most everyday with my son last summer.
I recently went for a cervical spine x-ray because of neck pain. I am not sure what they results mean and my family doctors says that there is nothing wrong. The results are: There is straightening of expected lordosis. There is normalvertebral body height and posterior alignment. Spinolaminate alignment and disc spaces are maintained. There is slight narrowing of right c4/5 neural foramen on oblique projection. The odontoid and c1/2 lateral mass articulations are within normal limits.
In fact, I’m not even sure if there was a short spacer. It just looks like an integrated part of the X-ray. The X-ray machine was not digital and I am unsure what film-speed it uses (D, E or F speed). She was wearing a lead apron with a collar (however, that is pointless because her neck is so small and thin, its not touching her neck).
My internal medicine doctor did a soft tissue neck x-ray and said it was fine. She gave me a prescription for Vicodin and Provigil and made an appointment with an endocrinologist in 2 months. I am just so confused because all my lab work and x-rays are totally normal, so why does she think an endocrinologist can help? If she thinks nothing is wrong, why does she think I need to drive 2 hours away to see a different doctor?
s left arm was trampled on accidentally by a schoolmate during a sporting activitiy. X-ray showed no injuries. But the pain has persisted. Pain comes and goes. Lately she has been complaining of pain that runs down the arm to the tip of fingers and even up to back of neck and head. Pain sometimes goes to the other arm too. Should I take a to a neurologist and what x-ray do you suggest?

Finding
posterior disc protrusion of C2/3, C3/4, C4/5 are noted mildly indenting the spinal cord. The mid sagittal AP diameter of the spinal canal is normal. No evidence of myelopathy. The vertebral bodies are normally alligned. The height of the vertebral bodies and disc spaces are normal. No evidence of end plate destruction.
If I had been having headaches & shooting pains & someone told me I had a dime-sized spot on the side of my head show up on an x-ray, I'd be off to see a neurologist or neurosurgeon as fast as I could!
with severe neck and top right muscle/shoulder pain. Doc. said it was Brachial Nueralgia. Had x-ray done by Chiro.-3 IVR encroachments ( pinched nerves?). MRI showed nothing. I will be seeing an ORTHO this Fri. I am in a cervical brace, and sling as needed and on 3 meds. Has anyone ever has this same problem. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I have been having constant pain/tightness in both thights and both knees, as if I had just ran 10 miles the day before, but I have done nothing out of the ordinary to cause this discomfort. However I did have a 2 level neck fusion about 5 years ago, on my C4/C5/C6 area of my neck, then on May 5, 2008 I was rear-end in a car accident, and everything has gone down hill since. Now I have chronic neck pain, headaches, and recently started to have thigh & knee pain.
Yes, the practitioner did do another X-ray after the initial adjustment. He then did further alignment after the 2nd X-ray. My original reason for seeing the NUCCA doctor was vertigo, not neck or back pain. I had already been to the Neuro who performed an EEG, MRI, and inner ear tests...all normal. Now, my vertigo is all but gone (thankfully), but now I have ongoing neck and upper back pain that confuses me.
t know much about the symptoms, I was told about 4 years ago after a neck x-ray that my neck was curved the wrong way (I saw the x-ray and it was really weird) At that time I was working with a chiropractor and it got better for a while but now it is horrible! I also felt like I had multiple pinched nerves in my neck as well lately so that didn't help with the pain! I just didn't know if maybe it was just a pinched nerve causing everything?

Looking for advice, Had knee pain on and off for like 2 years last few weeks its been really bad when i bend down i cant get back up if i keep it bent for more than 15secs it throbs so bad there is also a boney lump at my tibia, I went to gp got sent for x ray it has came back showing bone hardening and bone narrowing. I have been refered to orthopedics but appointment is a month away and im worried.
And recently it has gotten worse. I tend to favor my neck leaning to my left side. I have developed back pain too with my neck pain. I get neck aches almost ever day, and I have trouble keeping my neck facing up or down for too long, I have loss of grip in my hands, mostly on my left side, neck spasms when I turn my neck to the left and right, along with severe jaw tightness.
Sounds suspiciously like a pinched vertebrae in your neck. I suggest seeing a chiropractor, have an x-ray and take it from there. If he/she sees anything suspicious, he/she will refer you to another doctor, if there is nothing out of the ordinary there, however, a good adjustment may just be the ticket to your healing.
