I had it done and it is amazing how much it has helped. Gone from taking megadoses of pain killers for the neck and shoulder/back pain to letting my almost full bottle of pain killers expire. The nerves do grow back but hopefully the protrusion has receded enough to not be afecting the spine/nerves. ALSO, found that this pain is not uncommon for those bending down to read the computer screen for hours on end. Hope this helps.

Have had neck pain after accident recent MRI C3-C4 minimal disc bulging,C4-C5 minimal disc bulging,mild bi-lat foraminal stenosis,C5-C6mild facet disease left greater than right,moderate left foraminal stenosis,C6-C7 minimal disc bulging,C7-T1 minimal disc bulging. Impression mild bilateral C4-C5 foraminal stenosis,Moderate left C5-C6 foraminal stenosis.

I was recently in a car accident and was sent to have x-rays that found nothing, over a couple weeks I ended up in serious pain and my husband called a lawyer and they found me a Chiropractor/MD to look at my neck. After an MRI they found C4-5 level had mild posterior broadbased spondylitic bulge with central canal stenosis. Then at C5-6 level disk narrowing and more prominent posterior broadbased spondylitic bulge small disk protrusion moderate central canal stenosis wiht out cord indentation.

for while now i have bad neck pain it seems to be coming from middle of my neck when the pain arrives it makes me very dizzy and can knock me of balance..its not very nice when this pain is hitting me...

I did have some relief with therapy, I do not take any medication. The symptoms that I feel are constant headache, neck shoulder arm pain numbness and weakness in my hands right worse than left. I also have numbness in my right bicep muscle. Would tingling in my feet be related to my neck? I have not be referred to any specialist and am not much of a complainer. I'm back at work, I do a lot of reading and computer work, and my symptoms are back . Just looking for some advice.

(not that i would have let her) She did some shoulder tissue work and stretching of shoulders and neck. The heat therapy at the end was nice. I am sore now and have a slight headache....we shall see. On a funny side note I am watching The Vow. This is the movie I saw 4 days post op and I don't remember any of it watching it lol.

My regular down pillow is just compounding my neck problems. Last night my neck pain was so bad I had my third ever in my lifetime migrane headache. The towel behind my neck and my pillow over my eyes and ears really helped get me to sleep.

I also had bone density test done and my results came back as having osteopenia in neck area. Went for physical therapy took medication doesnt seem to help..

You should ask your sister to lookout for and cosult her doc.I am now on pain killers, but still the pain is there and my doc. is asking me to come to him crying otherwise no surgery.

Yes, I had that done about 2 yrs ago for my CM HA from a gentleman that had been a massage therapist for atleast 30 yrs. and had been doing craniosacral theraphy for quite a while. He was also a friend of my father's.ago for my CM HA. After the appt. I told my husband "not sure what that was supposed to do and I don't know how that could help". I could feel a little bit when he touched me but not much at all.

hi a few years ago when I was working as a bouncer i was bottled from behind and then the guy who attacked me got me in a front headlock(back of my head was on his chest) and he wrenched my neck since then I've had issues with the back of my neck when it goes I get a pressure at the front of my neck just below my Adams Apple like someone is pressing on it which causes a sickly feeling/lump feeling so I be concerned about this or not

A van side swipped her mini-van and cause some severe neck damage. This damage cause constant pain in her neck, migrains, and some numbness. The treatment they prescribed was getting cold injections to the nerves in neck and head. She received three treatments over the past year with some short term relief of pain but always come back. Beside this treatment she been doing a routine of physiotherapy, deep tisse massage, water therapy with some relief but not enough.

Has anyone had a similar injury? I am 43 and had no previous back, neck pain or migraines!!! I have been told I have stenosis too. Conservative treatment has been recommended. My spinal cord did is slightly narrowed at C5-C6 but no nerve involvement. Any advice on how to cope with/cure pain?

Hi, I have a neck problem too. I have neck pain just by sitting and tingling and numbness in my right arm. Anyways, I found this book on how to treat your back and neck by Robin McKenzie. It gives you exercises you can do. I started doing them my condition improved a lot. I still have problems but getting better. You should give it a try.

The surgery was a success, my arm pain and numbness was gone, but not the neck pain. I saw him for 6 months of follow up after the surgery and he just told me to be careful because of the bulging disc underneath. I was in pain, but he said that I could go back to my normal activities and the fusion was healing nicely. Fast forward to Dec 05, the disc at C5-6 herniated and I had another surgery. Same scenario, follow up, but still in excruciating pain.

My 8 year old son had decompression surgery in Jan 08 and for the last 2 months has been suffering from pain in his upper back, neck and shoulders. Hello, The first possibility is of a spinal cause like cervical stenosis or degeneration which is causing nerve irritation. Nerve irritation may present with pain in the neck and when movement of the neck is there from side to side if cervical spine is involved and tingling and numbness in the upper extremities. Any spinal cause in the lower spine may be associated with tingling in the soles of feet and legs.

Every mon wed and fri and i leave with headache. And lower back pain. Ugh. Looks like i only have it for this month. I failed my balance test miseralbly. Not surprised lol. I already know im off and then they had me close my eyes that made me almost fall over. Someone made a joke about a sobriety test. Lol i would def fail.
