293157 tn?1285877039 I was 16 years old when I went on medication for high blood pressure. I am 46 now and have never been off of bp meds but my blood pressure is well controlled. . I am on medications for MS symptoms that say they may cause hypo tension but NOPE not for me.
Avatar m tn I stress and worry about this a lot even tho i try not to and today I started feeling weird in my head about 40 mins after i woke up like heaviness an pressure from my temples from back of my neck and top, idk if this is from anxiety of worrying or high blood pressure because my resting blood pressure was ok at the doctor I also have been having twitching between my eye brows on my forehead. Two days before I had twitching randomly all over.
1757749 tn?1312858554 hello, i'm 16 weeks pregnant and for about two weeks now i have really bad headaches and neck pain. Avatar m tn I had my Thyroid Gland removed last 4 years through radio active medicine ang i'm taking eltroxin as of this date. My triglycerides is high more than 250. my blood pressure before is within normal range 120/80 or something. but now it rose to 140/100 but now it always comes 130/90 or higher. I've been checking it numerous times a day. its usually around 135/95 throughout the day also i have to mention i have ALWAYS had a high resting pulse like 85-105 bpm usually. mostly in the 90's though.
Avatar n tn could be something else too. I have allready had an MRI and MRA scan both of my brain and neck...and my blood pressure is typically 130/80...not high enough to cause such dramatic symptoms... so I ask, can there be something that causes high BP just in the head, similar to pulmonary hypertension? (which is undetectable to a BP arm cuff). How can this be proven or not? If it was high BP would the headache get alot worse when exercising or might it stay the same?
Avatar m tn I discussed my resting after bowl movement with someone not a doctor and he said that it maybe little high blood pressure and it goes down after bowl movement. Is this possible? Also does probiotic supplements increase or decrease blood pressure. Probiotics claim they reduce high blood pressure. I am getting mixed information from what I have searched on web. says it can also increase chances of sepis- blood infection and diverticulitis. I don't know if this is true.
Avatar f tn While your blood pressure was a bit on the high side, it was far from dangerously high. Your doctor did not put you on blood pressure meds because he correctly assumed it was high because you were very upset, which will increase BP, you were probably very anxious and exhibiting signs of anxiety, which will also increase your BP and the simple fact you were consulting a doctor will cause just about everyones BP to read higher than normal.
Avatar f tn I was just released from the hospital yesterday with my blood pressure was high my pulse rate was high and i had pressure in the chest and neck and some chest pain. I was sweating and very nauseated. They gave me nitro tabs 3 to be exact to lower all of it and then it did not lower. I was put in a room on the heart floor and given nitro through the iv. My question is why is this happening??
Avatar f tn I bought a blood pressure machine and I think I got phased about it. But I. Head everyone's blood pressure goes up with an attack or stress.
514494 tn?1376514748 While it’s important to note that this procedure is not advertised as a “cure” for hypertension, it’s fascinating to observe that a simple, almost underwhelming spinal adjustment could have such an impact on your health. Naturally, larger studies involving more patients are necessary to establish a better understanding of the mechanism behind this improvement.
Avatar n tn I am not sure if it's the result of the previous night headache because it was left untreated, a raise in my blood pressure, perhaps the pain made my blood pressure increase, the period (hormonal) or the anxiety that came with it which affected my blood pressure. Thank you.
Avatar n tn Since you have slight chest pain with the high BP spikes I'm surprised he didn't send you to a Cardiologist but very high BP can also cause chest pain. A friend of mine had very high BP and severe chest pain, everybody thought she had a heart attack but the Cardiologist described it as "hypertensive induced angina". She had to undergo an angiogram which came out fine, no blockages at all.
907968 tn?1292625804 My brother just graduated nersing school says this comes from high blood pressure. My problem is that it's only my head that feels like it's ready to explode and no other part of my body.
4172600 tn?1350593082 My mom is in Jamaica and is taking that medication and she asked me to research it for her as she is having this consistent cough and she thinks her high blood pressure meds is the cause and here I find another Jamaican asking about this meds. Please let me know.
Avatar n tn It might be a good move to have your blood pressure checked again, I have high BP and High Cholesterol that is brought on by my Underactive thyroid condition (Hashimoto's) , When your BP is low, you tend to get dizzy upon standing, although I would get dizzy and flushed when standing to fast with high blood pressure, but you are saying you feel pressure in your face, that could be a sinus problem (Fluid) or maybe a sinus infection or allergies, (Just a Guess) The only way to be sure is to have a
Avatar m tn pain raises blood pressure, and great pain raises it greatly. But your doc will probably want to check your kidney function, because that's important in regulating BP. There is a very rare benign tumor of the adrenal gland called pheochromocytoma, which can cause recurrent episodes of high BP and headaches also, it is treatable, but as I say, extremely rare.
Avatar f tn cold, teeth chattering, neck and spine pain..also, since this time my BP is high (140/90) without any changes to my diet or meds. Im also sweating, dizzy and i think it set me into huge POTS flare? anyone experience this?
Avatar m tn I immediately began googling and saw high blood pressure in someone as young as me can be caused by adrenal gland tumors. I'm scared to death and I just can't get over the worst case scenario. The doc said to quit taking protein supplements, cut out caffeine (I drink 2-3 cups of coffee a day), and cut down on sodium (which I admit I eat a lot of). I must admit I never saw this one coming. Does anyone have any ideas on what this is? Should I be worried?
Avatar f tn Exposure to loud noise, otosclerosis, acoustic neuromas, inner ear infection,TMJ disorders, Meniere’s disease all can cause dizziness. High blood pressure, head and neck tumors are few other possible causes. Stress, any injury to the jaw, dislocation of disc between ball and socket of the joint, grinding the teeth can all lead to Temperomandibular joint disorders.
Avatar m tn Would this also cause like a lightheaded feeling? sometimes as well it feels as if my body is here but my mind is in a different world. It is hard to describe how I feel but I am just wondering if that would still be considered as the same issue.
Avatar m tn After a painfull surgery, I start having a very weird arrhytmia problem as well as high blood pressure. It was 8 months ago. Before that surgery, I always had a normal blood pressure with fast pulse rate because of the anxiety. Since the last 8 months, I start experiencing strange heart pulse rate (mostly low pulse rate when I get anxious, insistead of the high pulse rate that I had before).
Avatar f tn But, they said the same thing 3 months ago, and we were able to pull through, so I'm not throwing in the towel just yet. We've taken her completely off of her high blood pressure medicine (Enalapril), and cut her diuretic dosage (Furosemide) in half, but are keeping her dosage of Spironolactone the same at 7mg 2x day. I've taken it upon myself to begin giving her Milk Thistle and Vitamin B Complex, as of a few hours ago.
